Crossing North America Flight Adventures-Package 4

File Description:
Here's the 4th edition of my "Crossing North America" adventure and we are still working our way around in Alaska. The 10 flightplan-adventures included with package #4 begin at Cordova in Prince William Sound, then we travel up and deep into the Klondike region of east central Alaska. We end our adventures at Hoonah, AK just south of the Glacier Bay National Park. Our journey will have had us crossing the Wrangell mountains (twice) and viewing some of Alaska's most dramatically beautiful areas the state has to offer. The next package (#5) will be the final one for Alaska, as it will tour the Southeast part of the state, including the Capital of Juneau. Ironically, it is the capital of Alaska that is the only state capital you cannot drive to, as the only way you can reach Juneau is either by boat or plane. Package #6 will begin our tour of Canada, starting with the Yukon! Packages 1-4 have now totaled 4,678 miles flown, using 34 different aircraft! With this package #4, the aircraft used are as follows: default Caravan & KingAir, Piaggio P-166 turboprop twin, Cherokee 180, Cessna 150, Maule M-760 Amphibian, Sikorsky S-39, McDonnell-Douglas MD500E helicopter, Piper Tri-pacer, Pilatus PC-12, Enjoy!

China Southern Airlines Summer 2005 v.4

File Description:
The flightplans for the China Southern Airline Group. These plans are based on the schedule for August 2005. They are the largest airline in China and operate a varied fleet of Boeing, Airbus, ATR and Embraer aircraft across an extensive domestic, regional and international network. Changes from my previous 2004 version include the introduction of the Airbus A330-200 and Embraer ERJ-145 aircraft.

Iranian Air Force DeHavilland DHC-4 Caribou

File Description:
DeHavilland DHC-4 Caribou of the Iranian Air Force, utilizing Mike Stone's Caribou aircraft; and painted in 16-bit textures for ease of AI. This is a challenging (but delightful) aircraft to fly, with its light weight and STOL characteristics; and is polygon-low enough to work well as an AI aircraft. Textures only, requires base pack available here on AVSIM or Mike Stone's website (www.pmstone.com). Aircraft repaint by Michael Pearson ([email protected]).

BOAC (Test) DH Comet 4 G-APDA

File Description:
There was no prototype of the Comet 4 as such. The unique Comet 3 acted as prototype for some of the testing. The first real Comet 4 acted as the prototype for the definitive version and this aircraft was also the first production machine for BOAC. First flying on 27 April 1958 in this early version of the BOAC livery, it had a diffent cheatline arrangement and slightly different titles, unpainted pods and other details. The gleeming machine had by the time of it's delivery in February the following year been repainted into the familiar variation of the classic BOAC scheme although it did retain the very slightly larger titles. Sold to Malaysian in December 1965 it was transferred to MSA exactly a year later. In November 1969 it was purchased by Dan Air who flew it back to Lasham as a spares source for its Comet fleet. Requires the DH 106 Comet 4 model by David Maltby

Olympic Airways DOUGLAS DC-4 , SX-BAG

File Description:
This aircraft, originally a C-54 Skymaster, was purchased initially by 'Hellenic Airlines' during 1949 and operated as passenger liner with T.A.E. and (later) with Olympic until 1957 on the Athens-Rome-Paris-London route. This new photoreal metallic textures set in 'Olympic' livery requires the new Jens B. Kristensen's original Douglas DC-4 package. Installation instructions are included. Repaint by Manuele Villa.

Stampe et Vertongen SV.4 'HB-UPS'

File Description:
This is a repaint for the Fs2004 Stampe SV-4 from Eric Dantès. The "Aerotique" Stampe is based at Ecuvillens LSGE in Switzerland. In the file there are additional sounds more realistic than the originals.

East African Airways Comet 4 VP-KPJ

File Description:
EAA was jointly owned by the governments of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Working closely with BOAC and needing an effective aircraft to operate opposite BOAC Comets made the airline an early puchaser of the type. This aircraft VP-KPJ, one of two ordered in 1958, was the first to be delivered in July 1960 and inaugerated the Nairobi-London service. So sucessful was the type that a third was soon ordered and the fleet increased to four when a BOAC example was taken on lease. Super VC 10's were ordered to relace the Comets from autumn 1966 but the type soldiered on right up until February 1971 using a leased Dan Air aircraft. VP-KPJ which had become 5X-AAO in April 1964 was found to be suffering from corrosion and was sold to Dan Air for spares in Nov 1970. Requires the DH 106 Comet 4 model by David Maltby
