Air America DHC-4

File Description:
Textures Only for Mike Stone's DHC-4 Caribou. This Air America DHC-4 was based at Tan Son Nhut Air Force Base near Saigon, South Vietnam for several years in the late 1960s and early 1970s. This release addresses the problem of "FS9 White-Out" that affected my FS2002 release of these textures in some systems. Requires Mike Stone's DHC-4 Caribou, available www.pmstone.com

Airline Inventory Update #4

File Description:
(Update 4 - 13 January 2006) Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture sets that I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. Salyut 4 - Soyuz 17

***REQUIREMENTS*** spacecraft.dll, launch scenarios require D. Henderson's CVE-lite 'Proton-k' and 'Soyuz-Launchers' (available at orbiterhangar - www.orbithangar.com/searchauth.cfm?search=dh219, and sourceforge - sourceforge.net/project/showfiles.php?group_id=58685) ***INSTALLATION*** unzip with full paths option to orbiter's root folder. ***USE*** on orbit, jettison each craft to it's on-orbit configuration (sorry, no animations yet...) with the 'j' key (make sure to press 'j' only once with the soyuz or else you'll endup separating the orbital module... doh!!) 'j' key also jettisons the soyuz's orbital module (BO) and propulsion module (PAO) from the reentry capsule (SA)... also, no parachutes yet for the SA (still working out the details and data on that yet), so have fun on reentry as it'll be your last, cosmonaut! ***NOTES*** the soyuz7k-t included is a new (and hopefully improved) version of my previous one; the salyut4 station is all new... enjoy! cheers hc

Riddle Airlines DC-4

File Description:
Riddle Airlines DC-4 This is Jens Kristensen's model repainted by Dave McQueen, April, 2006, textures only. The original aircraft is available at www.Avsim.com. You must download and install his DC-4 model for FS2004 to use these files. Look for DC4_V10.zip. Riddle Airlines began operations in 1945 as a non scheduled carrier. Later as a mostly all cargo airline it began scheduled operations and flew passenger/cargo flights for the US military. Riddle flew C46s, DC-4s, DC-6s, DC-7s, DC-8s and Armstrong Whitworth Argosy turboprops. The name changed to Airlift International in 1963. Airlift acquired Slick Airways in 1966 and managed to survive several bankruptcies only to go under for good in 1991. Riddle was founded by John Paul Riddle, also a founder of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University of Prescott, Arizona and Daytona Beach, Florida.

Douglas DC-4 'ALITALIA'

File Description:
This new photoreal metallic textures set in 'Alitalia' livery requires the new Jens B. Kristensen's original Douglas DC-4 package. Installation instructions are included. This aircraft, originally a C-54, was purchased by 'Alitalia' during 1950 and operated as passenger liner until 1954.

Rolladen-Schneider LS-4

File Description:
This upload is one of the results of my efforts to get AI-glider traffic into FS2004. Included are an AI-version with two textures of the Rolladen-Schneider LS-4 for flights from airfield A to airfield B, and another AI-version of the Rolladen-Schneider LS-4, tweaked in a way that it will take off from airfield A, climb while circling and then keeps endlessly circling to a max altitude of around 3000ft ASL in the surrounding of the airfield. Credits go to Wolfgang Piper for his excellent gliders which inspired me to start experimenting with AI-gliders and for giving me permission to rebuild his gliders to AI-versions. For other examples of his excellent gliders, visit his site http://www.fsglider.de. Also credits go to Alan Kaiser for the stemme.air, which I used to make the AI-versions for the LS-4.
