Bavaria Flug BAC One-Eleven 500 V1.1 Download

File Description:
Germany's Bavaria Flug had a bit of a love affair with British aircraft in the swinging sixties, following up a buy of Handley Page Heralds with a brace of BAC One-Eleven 400s. A little while later, the carrier bought a smattering of 1-11 500s to round their fleet out. Bavaria referred to the stretched 1-11s as "Super One-Elevens" in the company's marketing, and labelled the planes that way. These textures rely upon 32-bit format on the fuselage, vertical stabiliser and engines, with DXT3s for the rest of the aircraft and require the BAC One-Eleven 500 model by David Maltby's DM Flight Sim (available at http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk).

Bavaria Flug BAC One-Eleven 400 Download

File Description:
Headquartered in the southern portion of Germany, Bavaria Flug went shopping for British aircraft in the late 1960s, ordering BAC One-Eleven 400s to anchor the carrier's fleet. The 1-11 in this package (D-ALLI/construction number 116) was one of the first delvered to the West German airline. Bavaria was so pleased with the performance and economies of the One-Eleven they went back to BAC for a scond order, this time opting for 1-11 500s. Fuselage, engines and tail are 32-bit textures with DXT3s used for the rest to keep frame rates up. Requires the base 1-11 400 model from DM Flight Sim (http://www.dmflightsim.co.uk).

North American P-51D 339th FG (5Q-E) "Beaver Chant" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D 44-14372 5Q-E "Beaver Chant" as flown by Capt. Richard C. "Slick" Penrose, of Orland CA, who flew with the 504th Fighter Squadron, 339th Fighter Group, from Fowlmere, UK. The name Beaver Chant was derived from Slick’s university, Oregon State, where the sports teams are known as “Beavers” with the chant being the supporters’ encouragement chant. The colours of the lettering were intended to be in the Beaver’s colours of orange and black but the crew could not obtain orange paint so it ended up more like a yellow on blue. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

North American P-51D 353rd FG (SX-R) "El Gato" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D-10-NA 44-14804 first named “El Gato” by Capt. Maurice Morrison and later “Honey Bee II” by Lt. Harold Miller. This was the only P-51 to fly as SX-R between October 1944 and the end of the war. It logged 84 missions with 32 different pilots (31 with Morrison and 5 with Miller). Morrison named the aircraft “El Gato” (Spanish for The Cat) after returning eight times either badly shot up or after another worrying experience. When he was assigned a P-51 he felt he was on his ninth life. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IIb (MA504) SAAF Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Spitfire in the colors of Spitfire Mk IX MA504, which flew with No 9 and 41 squadron of the South African Air Force in Cyprus in 1944. 4 aircraft (MH931, MH993, MA504 and MA792) were stripped of paint and all excess weight in an attempt to bring down high flying German bombers, working in pairs. One lighter aircraft, equipped with machine guns, was supposed to force the bomber down a few 1000 ft, where the cannon equipped aircraft would finish it off. The aircraft were shared among the different squadrons, but is not clear if they ever succeeded in bringing down any Germans. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (OR-L) "Judy's Little Ass" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G 43-38841, which was assigned to the 323rd BS/ 91st BG in November 1944 and sported noseart designed to beat the censors. The name was more risqué than the Disney-styled drawing of a little donkey, painted by Tony Starcer. The aircraft survived the war, having flown 45 missions, with 22 different crews. The crew with the largest series of flights, nine, was flown by the crew of Lt Robert Lawson, in february 1945. She returned to the US on 26 may 1945, and was scrapped in Kingman in november 1945. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Mitsubishi A6M5 Zero Shigenori Nishikaichi Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Textures only repaint of the WWII Fighters A6M5 from A2A-Shockwave. The textures are in DXT5 bmp format and have been tested only in FSX SP2 Acceleration, running in Windows 7 Ultimate 64-bit. The livery depicted in this repaint is that of PO 1c Shigenori Nishikaichi, who flew in the second wave from the IJN carrier Hiryu, in the attack on Pearl Harbor, HI, 7 December, 1941. The livery itself is historically accurate, with the "minor" exception that Nishikaichi's machine was an A6M2, Type 0 Model 21, rather than the later A6M5. However, the A2A simulations model presents one of the best available Zeros of any sort for use in FSX and has an excellent paint kit available for it produced by Martin Catney.

"Forbidden Fruit" Boeing B-17G Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
TRepaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G representing B-17G-35-DL 42-107091 "Forbidden Fruit" of the 728th BS, 452nd BG, Deopham Green as it looked in the spring of 1944. "Forbidden Fruit" flew a total of only 9 missions, its first on 10 April 1944, and it's last just 40 days later, on 20 May 1944. After suffering severe flak damage on a "milk run" over Belgium, "Forbidden Fruit" crash landed at it's home base, and was declared salvage.

I dedicate this to the memory of the "Forbidden Fruit" tail gunner who lost his life on that fateful last mission, S/Sgt John R Tinker.

Repaint by Will "dafraz48" Turner, based on the A2A paintkit, October 2015.
