| Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LL-E) "Shoo shoo shoo baby" restored |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G-35-BO 42-32076, the former "Shoo shoo shoo baby". In 1968, the ancestry of F-BGSH, an old B-17 languishing in derelict state on Creil Airfield in France, was discovered by the Australian aviation historian Steve Birdsall, who notified the USAF museum that this was a combat veteran that had flown operational missions, in contrast to most other surviving B-17's. Following negotiations, the B-17 was donated to the US by the French Government. Interestingly, its Swedish heritage attracted interest from Sweden as well, but nothing came of this. The aircraft was disassembled at Creil and trucked to Frankfurt and flown to the US in 1972, where it arrived, packed in 27 crates. No plans or funds for restoration were present at the time, but in 1977, Mike Leiston, a technician at Dover AFB contacted the museum about the possibility of restoring one of the museum's aircraft by volunteers at Dover AFB. With project approved, 42-32076 was transported to Dover, with the aim of restoring it to a stock wartime B-17G. Upon arrival, Paul McDuffee, who had flown her for 13 missions, was present, and the reunion was clearly an emotional one as he commented "I've just got to go over and kiss her", which he did.
The restoration continued to 1988,and after some 60.000 ma hours, "Shoo shoo shoo baby"took to the skies again for the first time on 11 september. On 14 october 1988, she flew for the last time, to the USAF museum near Dayton, Ohio, where she can still be seen. The main difference with her wartime looks is the fact that she currently sports an olive drab camouflage paint, which was necessary due to all the metal work needed to bring her back to a stock B-17G condition. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

| Scorchy 2 Boeing B-17G |
|
File Description:
This is a repaint (textures only) for the Donationware B-17G Late from FighterTown Design Group. You can get it here for a great price!! www.donationware.net
Thank you FDG for providing this great plane!!
Special thanks go to Jarink, who is a repainter in IL-2/PF. Jarink was kind enough to send me his layered photoshop files of the Noseart that I used for these repaints. I also used his repaints as a guide for my repaints.
This texture represents "Scorchy 2" from the 303rd BG. The B-17G started seeing action with the 303rd in October, 1943 and continued until the end of the war. Natural Metal finish was the standard from about March, 1944, but many planes were left in OD since stripping the paint was determined to be not worth the effort. The high-visibility red triangle group marking was adopted in August, 1944.
"Scorchy II" This was one of the first NMF (Natural Metal Finish) planes assigned to the 303rd BG. It was lost to a mid-air collision over Rottweil on 21 January, 1945. Only one crewman succeeded in bailing out.

| Fargo Valley Airport |
|
File Description:
This airport was built in the mountains of B.C. Canada. There is a 4800' concrete runway that has Ils on both ends along with a Vor at midfield. There is a small community surrounding the airport(Landclass added) I actually built this to make approaches with. As you will see it is rather interesting with the weather bad to make the approaches without tearing your plane up

File Description:
A repaint of the Wings of Power 2 B-17G in the colour scheme of the 100th Bomb Group 349 Bomb Squadron's aircraft Once in'a While. This aircraft was lost while on a mission to Saarbrucken in November 1944, but not before it had managed to fly over 40 combat missions. | USAF P-51D Tuskegee 7 'Bunnie' |
|
File Description:
This is a repaint for both the WOP P-51D and WWII Fighters P-51D. This aircraft, marked 7 "Bunnie" was the aircraft of Captain Roscoe C. Brown, CO of the 100th Fighter Squadron, 332nd Fighter Group, 15th U.S. Army Air Force, Ramitelli, Italy, 1945. During World War II the US Army practiced a policy of strict segregation of black people, so this Group was entirely manned by black Americans. Their proud claim at the end of the war was that they never lost a single bomber under their escort, which is a tremendous record. Repaints by Jan Kees Blom, based on the Shockwave paintkit.
