The Sukhoi Su-27 is a one-seat Mach-2 class jet fighter originally manufactured by the Soviet Union, and designed by the Sukhoi Design Bureau. The Su-27's basic design is aerodynamically similar to the MiG-29, but it is substantially larger. It is a very large aircraft, and to minimize its weight its structure has a high percentage of titanium (about 30%, more than any of its contemporaries). No composite materials were used. The swept wing blends into the fuselage at the leading edge extensions and is essentially a delta, although the tips are cropped for wingtip missile rails or ECM pods. The Su-27 is not a true delta, however, because it retains conventional tailplanes, with two vertical tailfins outboard of the engines, supplemented by two fold-down ventral fins for additional lateral stability.

Sukhoi Su-25 Frogfoot (Part 2). I present a comprehensive AI traffic model package for this close air support aircraft. The Su-25, known as the Grach (Rook), was put into service in 1981, was designed as a comparable aircraft to the USAF A-10 Warthog, focused on battlefield close air support. Starting with Afghanistan, the Su-25 proved itself to be an extremely versatile and survivable aircraft, and has been in service ever since. Just over 1,000 were built in various models, and have been or are operated by thirty countries. An original 8-LOD model brings this historic aircraft to the flightsim world. This is part 2, combined with Part 3, representing the Su-25 in multiple incarnations (Su-25, Su-25SM, Su-25T, Su-39, Su-25UB, Su-25UTG), in the current service of the Russian Air Force and Navy; with 34 models and 137 repaints. This package requires a Daan Callaerts AFCAD package listed in the install instructions, available on AVSIM.com. Additionally, I have included a basic scenery for Phan Rang Airbase, the home station of these aircraft. EZ Scenery libraries are required for my airport. Package by Michael Pearson.
