Airline Inventory Update #5

File Description:
(Update 5 - 25 January 2006) Not long ago I embarked on a project to streamline my flight simulator's AI setup. I knew I had too many aircraft texture sets that I was not using, too many unnecessary night texture files, installation of defunct airlines, and the like. So, I put together a spreadsheet showing my AI system with all the airlines and additional pieces such as vehicles and ships. This has been a very large and time-consuming project as my AI system has more than 7,000 texture sets, more than 2,200 airline folders, and other assorted AI components. Inside you'll find an Excel spreadsheet with all my airlines (more than 2,200) listed, Birds, Blimp, Corporate Aircraft, Defunct Airlines, Douglas DC-3, Float Planes, Government Aircraft, Helicopters, Medical Aircraft, Military Aircraft, Personal Registration Aircraft, Ships, and Vehicles - all associated with the FS AI system. In addition, I've included the spreadsheet's source text files for those that do not have Microsoft Excel. NOTE: You can download an MS Excel spreadsheet viewer (freeware) from the Microsoft site. Because of copyright restrictions and the size of my AI system, I have not provided links to specific files. However, I think you'll find the data very useful. See the readme file for a list of possible sources and contact information. NOTE: Changes since the last update are reflected in "green" text. Frank Bass

Green Glow Effect Update

File Description:
This is an update for my previous Green Glow Effect for FS2002. This update will allow you to have the old smokesystem smoke coming out of the Extra 300S aircraft, and have the sky changing between the 3 different colours at the same time. This does not require my previous green glow effect.

Interior Update for MJ777

File Description:
This is an update for the interiors of ALL my previous MelJet 777 releases. It will replace 2 interior (night) bitmaps for the following repaints; American Airlines, American "Spirit of America", Hawaiian, Lufthansa, Malev, Northwest and United "NextGeneration". Interiors will now look more realistic and have a "warmer" appearance at night. Simply unzip the contents directly into your texture folder for the particular aircraft and overwrite when prompted. This update will also work for MelJet's original releases. Enjoy!

File Description:

Lake Renegade Update 1

File Description:
This is a minor update that fixes a visual problem with the pilot in external view. I also modified the elevator and rudder per suggestions by those who know more about the real Lake, and added a movable trim tab along with it. The fuselage texture has been split into left and right as requested by repainters. To install this update you have to replace the mdl and one bmp file. It is not a required modification, but I recommend it as long as you are comfortable with replacing files.

Saarbruecken Update To V2.4

File Description:
Update to version 2.4, (earlier updates are included) sbb2kv2.zip uploaded to AVSIM on April, 14th. 2002 is required. This update adds a grass-runway, taxiway signs, better trees and fixes minor texture problems. Now the static scenery parts are contained in separated bgl-files to enable easy removing/modifying. Saarbruecken is the nearest international German airport next to the US air base of Ramstein.

Business Jet Panel Update

File Description:
There were no errors in my last panel, but there were omissions of guages that I overlooked, however. These have been fixed. Added are ATC guages (no more fumbling for keyboard if you are a CH yoke/pedal user), backup fuel guages so you know what PERCENT of fuel you have left (not just gallons :-P), a button for bringing up the flight map (that one was a big oops from last panel) a wind direction/speed guage and an altimeter pressure guage. Yes, I managed to fit all this in without taking out anything except the secondary digital clock. TESTED IN PRO EDITION ONLY. I have not tested this panel in Standard edition.
