Tips and Tricks - Part 12 - Mid-Summer 2005 edition. I had not planned on another issue until the Fall but there are just too many good things to share so here we are again. In this issue you will find several valuable "How-To's", links to a number of useful sites, and much, much more. Of special interest is a section dealing with the RWY12 Object Placer program. If you have bored kids or grandkids visiting during the summer, there is a recommendation they will enjoy too! This is also the first issue to include updated indexes in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series. As usual, I have attempted to include something of value for everyone, regardless of your experience level. Compiled in .doc and .pdf formats for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

File Description:
This is a collection of sound clips between CAPCOM Canadian Astronaut Julie Payette and the STS-114 crew during their 15-day mission. These files were extracted from raw MPEG-2 video files downloaded directly from my TIVO and then downmixed to 48KHz, 16-bit mono. All but 2 clips are <= 10 seconds in length.
And yes, CAPCOM Julie Payette looks just as good as she sounds. :)

Tips and Tricks - Part 13. This issue, the first of the Fall 2005 season, attempts to dispel the notion that you can become "bored" with FS2004. Numerous recommendations for new and different things to do and audition are included as well as the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. A new feature is a "From the Mailbag" segment where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. Updated indexes by John Burford in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series are included. There is also a group of BONUS files which I believe you will enjoy using.
