| North American P-51D 356th FG (QI-T) "Jersey Jerk" |

This folder contains a second repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of Maj. Donald J Strait's P-51D 44-15152 QI-T "Jersey Jerk". He flew with the 361st FS/356th FG from Martlesham Heath, UK. By the end of the war, Donald Strait had completed two combat tours, 122 missions in the P-47 and P-51, and racked up 13 ½ enemy aircraft kills, making him the top ace of the 356th. He retired from the Air Force as a Major General in 1978. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang (with AccuSim), in the colors of P-51D-20-NA #44-15056 PI-W "Jackie / Lorraine" as flown by Lt Bill Crump of the 356th FG. Lt "Wild" Bill Crump of the 360th FS was known to give his pet coyote 'Jeep' rides in his P-47. He had found the coyote as a young pup while training in Nebraska and adopted it, naming it Jeep. Jeep was taken on board while flying and got accustomed to it. Bill managed to smuggle it to England and it seems Jeep even flew 5 operational missions. Unfortunately, Jeep was run over by a truck, but was immortalised on the side of Bill's P-51 'Jackie', named after his sweetheart. More on Bill Crump and Jeep here: http://wildbillcrump.com/.

in the colors of Lt. Roger A Batie's P-51D 44-15274 OC-N "Moja Halka". He flew with the 359thy FS/356th FG from Martlesham Heath, UK. His aircraft was named after Miss Helen Menninger who was an American Red Cross girl managing the Aero Club at Martlesham Heath. "Moja Halka" is Polish for "My Helen" and was named in her honour by the assistant crew chief Cpl. Robert R Reginski. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

This folder contains a second repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D 44-14498 YF-S "Our Blue Heaven / Jennie & Me & Davy makes three (left side), Desirable Dottie / Virginia Darling (right side) ", the aircraft flown by Lt. Edward B Martin of the 358th FS/ 355th FG, based in Steeple Morden, UK. "Our Blue Heaven" was named after the favourite song of his wife Jeannie and himself. Davy making up the "three" is their son who was born whilst Lt. Martin was still with the 355th FG. I am not sure about the origin of the names on the right side, they made be from the ground crew. 44-14498 was previously "Big Stoop II" of Capt. James N McElroy and reassigned to Lt. Martin.

| North American P-51D 355th FG (YF-H) "Susan B. III" |

File Description:
This folder contains a second repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D 44-14799 YF-H "Susan B III", the aircraft flown by Lt. Clarence H Kouche of the 358th FS/ 355th FG, based in Steeple Morden, UK. The aircraft survived the war, but was damaged beyond repair in a landing incident in september 1945. The original Susan B was a P-51B that was also damaged during a landing incident, Susan B 2 was a P-51D that ran out of fuel, with the pilot, a Lt Fees, bailing out over the UK. Lt Couche continued in the USAF after the war, and died on his 89th birthday in 2008.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang (with AccuSim), in the colors of P-51D-10 44-14402, OS-H 'Barbara', flown by Capt Fred R. Haviland of the 357th FS/355th FG from Steeple Morden in november 1944. He claimed 6 aerial and 6 strafing victories before finishing his tour. 'Barbara' was then flown by Lt. Sellers Hardee, who claimed a further 4 starfing kills, before making a crash landing with Barbara on 24 february 1945. Unfortunately, Lt Hardee died a few days later from his injuries. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D-5-NA 44-13561 AJ-T "Short Fuse Sallee" of Major Richard E. Turner, the CO of the 356th FS/ 354th FG, as it looked while the 354th FG was based at A-31, Gael airfield during the autumn of 1944. It shows his final scoreboard of 20 swastikas, for his 12 kills and 8 damaged claims. He scored only one victory with this aircraft, a Bf109 on july 30, 1944. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D 44-14372 5Q-E "Beaver Chant" as flown by Capt. Richard C. "Slick" Penrose, of Orland CA, who flew with the 504th Fighter Squadron, 339th Fighter Group, from Fowlmere, UK. The name Beaver Chant was derived from Slick’s university, Oregon State, where the sports teams are known as “Beavers†with the chant being the supporters’ encouragement chant. The colours of the lettering were intended to be in the Beaver’s colours of orange and black but the crew could not obtain orange paint so it ended up more like a yellow on blue. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.
