Vanguard Launch Vehicle

File Description:
This is model of the rocket that was supposed to launch the United States of Americas first satellite into orbit. But since the Vanguard rocket exploded on the pad 2 seconds after stage 1 ignition the US choosed the Redstone rocket instead.

This 'Star Trek Universe' model is intended for rather fast travel thorough our nearby planets: at the present time it can reach Mars in just a couple of hours while Jupiter is a mere day away. You can do some sightseeing thorough the whole Solar System in about a week using no time warp. If some limitations of the sim are finally solved, this ship may be able to reach other solar systems in a reasonable time span as well.
