| B-24 USAAF 489th BG "Sharon D" |

File Description:
This Ford-built B-24H was assigned to Lt Col Leon Vance, deputy commander of the 489th BG. It was Vance who had brought the aircraft from the US to Halesworth. The bomber was named after its pilot’s infant daughter Sharon, who had been born in 1942. Lt Col Vance was flying a different aircraft on the 5 June 1944 mission against a German coastal defence complex near Wimereaux, France-a mission in which the latter aircraft was lost, and for which Vance was awarded the Medal of Honor. He was the only B-24 crew member in the Eighth Air Force accorded this distinction whilst flying a mission from the UK. Vance was heading home to recover from combat wounds when he went down on a C-54 Skymaster carrying wounded and crippled veterans over the North Atlantic on 26 July 1944. In October 1946, at the age of four, Sharon Vance travelled via US Army Air Forces transport to Enid, Oklahoma (now home of Vance Air Force Base), for a ceremony in which Maj Gen James P Hodges gave her the Medal of Honor awarded to her father. Today, daughter Sharon Kiernan of San Diego, California, is an Air Force wife, and she helps to keep alive the memory of her father, and of the bomber named after her. The Sharon D retained its nickname throughout the war, and was eventually transferred to the 445th BG. It survived the conflict, and was eventually broken up for scrap.

| B-24 USAAF 801st PG "Black Zombie" |

File Description:
Wherever they were to be seen, the glossy black Consolidated B-24s of the 801st Provisional Group, based at Harrington in Great Britain, stood out like big full stops. The squadrons of this group dropped supplies and agents for the French Underground. They were known by the name 'Carpetbaggers'. This illustration is a machine of the 406th BS, one of the squadrons of the group.
This B-24H-15-CF, originally 'The Loretta Ann' of the 850th BS, 490th BG coded 'N-', transferred on 6th June 1944 to 391st BS, 34th BG coded 'I', and further transferred on 18th January 1945 to the 492nd BG 856th BS who sent it on detached service to the 406th BS(NL), NL being Night Leaflet. It survived the war and returned to the US, arriving on 11th July 1945. It was stored at Albuquerque from 10th August 1945 where it was later cut up for scrap. This particular aircraft was not a Carpetbagger per se and obviously wasn't engaged in agent or supply dropping but leaflet distribution over the Continent as the war ran down. | B-24 USAAF 380th BG "Double Trouble" |

File Description:
B24M 44-50602 was built by Ford in Willow Run and delivered to the USAAF in january 1945. It joined the 380th BG/ 530th BS in the Philippines and flew 38 missions as a radar ship until the end of the war. It's pilot was Capt Stuart Forest who became the 530th sqdn commander on May 22, 1945. After the war's end, she flew two additional missions from Okinawa. File Description:
44-41867 was a B-24M, assigned to the 528th BS/ 380th BG, that flew 54 missions from Luzon on the Phillippines. She was a Raven H2X radar aircraft. After the war, she was flown back to the ZI, and ended up in the smelter by late 1945. Repaint for the Alphasim B-24 for FSX/FS9 by Jan Kees Blom

| P-51D 357th FG/ 362nd FS G4-X "Toolin'Fools Revenge" |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A/Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D Mustang, representing 44-63199 "Toolin'Fools Revenge", the aircraft flown by Lt Otto "Dittie" Jenkins. He scored 8.5 kills, including 4 on 24 december 1944. He died on the last flight of his tour, crashing when he buzzed the airfield on 24 March 1945.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell. It should work in both FSX and FS9.

This is my Mil Mi-24 Hind attack Gunship Helicopter Iraqi Air Force Camo in the first Gulf war, During Iran-Iraqi war.
i based my repaint on documentary photographic, and tried to be as real as possible.
the camo is pretty compatible with the iraqi land terrain.
the Fighter helicopter in the Iraqi air force were called (Army Aviation) not Air Force.
i wish you enjoy, and like it guys. Requires the LAGO payware MI-24.
