RAF High Ercall - Staffordshire, England

File Description:
RAF High Ercall is a former Royal Air Force station situated near the village of High Ercall, seven miles north-east of Shrewsbury.

It was a post expansion station with work starting in 1938, however, personnel started arriving before it was fully finished in 1940. The unit had a variety of permanent buildings mainly located on the main unit site and the temporary accommodation and sick quarters were located on the south of the airfield.

RAF Great Massingham - Norfolk, England

File Description:
RAF Great Massingham is a former Royal Air Force station located 8.1 miles (13.0 km) southwest of Fakenham, Norfolk and 11.7 miles (18.8 km) east of King's Lynn, Norfolk, England.

The airfield was built as a satellite airfield of RAF West Raynham in 1940. The airfield closed in 1945, although remained in use for storage until the 1950s. Source: Wikipedia.

RAF Bircham Newton - Norfolk, England

File Description:
RAF Bircham Newton is a former Royal Air Force station located 2.1 miles (3.4 km) south east of Docking, Norfolk and 13.4 miles (21.6 km) north east of King's Lynn, Norfolk, England.

The site was first used during the First World War and received the largest British bomber of the time, the Handley Page V/1500. They would have carried out bombing missions against Berlin but the Armistice was arranged before any missions were actually flown.

The airfield was equipped with one aircraft repair shed and three double bay general service sheds, although these had been demolished by 1937. It had two Belfast hangars, three C Type hangars, three Bellman hangars and ten Blister hangars. It operated through the Second World War as part of No. 16 Group RAF as part of Coastal Command.

No. 206 Squadron RAF was one of the squadrons being based there, on maritime patrol duties. Two satellite airfields, RAF Docking and RAF Langham were opened to accommodate units. In 1965 the airfield was used for evaluation trials of the Hawker Siddeley Kestrel V/STOL aircraft.

After closure as an operational airfield in 1966, the airfield became the home of the Construction Industry Training Board. The runways have gone, but the majority of buildings on the site, including some hangars and the control tower, remain in use by the CITB.The control tower was demolished in 2010 due to its poor condition. Constructionarium is also based within the estate, providing a week's practical learning opportunity for undergraduates

File Description:
A french scenery just for fun = Atlantic Aeropark near Chasnais and Lucon towns in Vendee country in France.
There are few aeropark in France. I created airport and some houses with planes for 4.75 precision mesh. Perhaps it would be fun for all mesh.

For installation, you just unzip in addon scenery path and you have to declare in parameters of fsx the scenery repertory (as usual).

Radio Telecoms Masts - George / Oudtshoorn, South Africa

File Description:
This is a representation of the radio/tv/telecoms masts in George and Oudtshoorn, South Africa. They are owned and operated by Sentech South Africa.

George mast is situated on the slopes of the Outeniqua Mountains above the town of George. Oudtshoorn mast situated on a hill SE of the town of Oudtshoorn. Mast Height 165 metres (540 feet) Created by Johan Kotze, using Gmax. Works in FS2004 and FSX.

This bgl (Vol 4) adds flocks of animated birds around EGTU, EGTE, EGHU, EGHQ, EGHE,EGHD, EGDR, EGDC, EGHC, wolfs rock lighthouse and their immediate surroundings up to 2000ft. This includes also, flocks covering this whole South Western area between 2000-5000ft. (Many hundreds of flocks in total).

RAF Fiskerton

File Description:
RAF Fiskerton was a Royal Air Force station located north of the Lincolnshire village of Fiskerton, 5.0 miles east of Lincoln, Lincolnshire, England

It was one of many new bomber airfields built in the early part of World War II. The airfield was situated north of the village from where it got its name. It was one of only 15 RAF airfield equipped with FIDO, a fog-clearing system utilizing petrol pumped through pipes alongside the main runway and burned via a sequence of nozzles.

No. 49 Squadron and No. 576 Squadron RAF were stationed at RAF Fiskerton. 49 squadron took part in the Peenemande raid on the research and development centre for the V2 missile. 576 Squadron took part in the raid on Hitler's hideout at Berchtesgaden and in Operation Manna.

Between 1962 and 1992 a Headquarters of the Royal Observer Corps was located within the airfield boundary.

RAF Humbertson

File Description:
This scenery is just a bit of fun to give the Lincolnshire landscape a bit of scenery to look at whilst flying between the many airfields the county has to offer sim pilots. As well as the radar masts I have included a couple of buildings to add a bit of interest, such as the Station Commanders house and a couple of airmen quarters, workshops and and admin building.
