EICM Galway Airport, Ireland

File Description:
Ireland EICM Galway Airport. Galway airport is a small regional airport situated on the West coast of Ireland. The runway is 1289m(4230ft) in length and is therefore only suitable for GA and small jets. This scenery also includes EICA Connemara and the three airstrips of the Aran Islands, EIIM Inishmore, EIMN Inishmaan, and EIIR Inisheer. EICA Connemara plays host to the shortest scheduled airline service in the world, operated by Aer Arann, and appropriately using BN2 Islanders. In June of 1919, Alcock and Brown crashlanded their converted Vickers Vimy in a Connemara bog, having successfully completed the first non-stop transatlantic flight.

All the terminals and buildings are custom made and static aircraft add a sense of realism. The BGL files have been subdivided so the user can switch various elements of the scenery on or off according to preference. For added realism I have also added some sound effects, animations, people, grass, and rocks. Each airport has a complete set of night textures with wash lighting in the carparks and terminal areas.

The scenery has been primarily designed for VFR photographic scenery using 10m mesh, but will also work with the default terrain, although there are some variations with the default 38m mesh at Inishmore. All the five airports use objects from my Ireland Static object library, 3d aircrew and VFR trees. Full installation instructions are given in the Readme file. I hope you enjoy the scenery as much as I enjoyed making it.

Dolly's Grove Airfield EIDG, Ireland

File Description:
Dolly's Grove (EIDG) scenery for FSX, should also work in P3D (not tested) by Brian Salmeron. Dolly's Grove is a private airstrip located around 20km west of Dublin airport EIDW. It's runway is paved asphalt 08/26 and 650m long with no lighting. The airfield is owned by a Dublin property developer who also operates a TBM700 from the strip. The owner also has a few historic aircraft parked on the property such as an AV-8B Harrier, L39 and an Antonov AN2.

Ireland EISG Sligo Airport Updated

File Description:
Ireland EISG Sligo Airport Update. The airport layout has been revised to accommodate static and AI aircraft. The flatten to the south of the airport has been removed and a new carpark has been added. Irish autogen style buildings have been added to the area surrounding the airport and stains have been applied to the apron to give it a more realistic appearance. Please enjoy.

Waterford City and Airport - Ireland

File Description:
The scenery consists of Waterford City and Airport in Ireland. The airport consists of two files, one created by the IFSD team who sadly are no longer operational and the second was created with Instant Scenery. The files are best viewed with UTX Europe as all buildings have been aligned with UTX roads. Only FSX autogen objects have been used, so the scenery has little impact on FPS. Enjoy.

File Description: Ireland_full_vfr_volume2. For FSX acceleration. Requires the installation of twin free packs: Ireland_full_vfr and Ireland_full_vfr_volume2. This pack is the complement for "Ireland_full_vfr". Contains more 30 new locations, designed to enhance the landscape of FSX. The modeling is done on Gmax with personal textures, placing with Object Placement Tool FSX SDK, and FPS impact is negligible. Many Helipads are fictional, but present to satisfy the fans of the helicopter. The placement is done on vector data OrbxFTX_EU_IRL, but can be safely used with other configurations although there may be some visual defects with object placement. Very detailed sceneries and textures. In addition to sceneries, this pack contains ten 'discovery flights Ireland'.

Ireland VFR Small Airports Landclass - Update

File Description:
Ireland VFR Small Airports Landclass Files Update. This scenery update is a set of landclass files for my following airports EIKN Knock, EISG Sligo, EICM Galway, Connemara and Aran Islands and Ireland VFR Small Airports part 1. The files have been designed for users of the airports with FSX default scenery and hopefully should remove any errant FSX trees from the runway. The scenery has been tested with default scenery only and does not apply to users of photographic scenery. Simply drop each file into your appropriate Airport scenery folder. Please enjoy.

Ireland VFR Small Airports part 4

File Description:
Ireland VFR Small Airports Part 4. Three new airports for FSX, consisting of EI50 Limetree, EI55 Eyne and EICN Coonagh. Limetree and Eyne are 70km southwest of EIDW Dublin. Coonagh is 16km East of EINN Shannon. These airports have been built from scratch, are standalone, and designed to sit on the default terrain. The scenery features custom runways and textures together with full custom models and textures based on real photographs. The scenery has been tested and authenticated by real local pilots. More realistic landclass, autogen rivers and roads have been added to the areas around the airports. It also features many HD textures, AI aircraft and road traffic. The scenery uses seperate elements which can be switched on or off according to the users preference and hardware. This scenery is real flying 'by the seat of your pants'. There are no lights, navaids, or ILS and runway markings are eaten by the sheep. Full installation instructions, settings, credits, hints and tips can be found in the README file. Please enjoy and I hope you like the airports as much as I enjoyed making them.
