File Description:
Ghat is a medium-sized airport located in the south-west of Libya, near Algerian border, and 10 miles north of the city of Ghat. In early 2010s Ghat was undergoing major renovatios, but civil war in Libya has put these plans on hold. While all runways and taxiways were recently repaved, new passenger terminal is still unfinished, and air traffic is almost non-existent. Except from military and cargo planes, the only regular passenger flight to Ghat nowadays is Air Libyan from Tripoli: their A320 is visiting this place twice a week. This scenery has super-accurate layout, precise marking, and correct navaids according to the latest satellite images and charts. Photo background blends perfectly with ORBX Global. Unfinished new terminal with the construction site. Taxi signs were added for convenience. Enhanced city of Ghat and surrounding landclass. Made for P3Dv3, tested on P3Dv4 and FSX:SE. The 5th version of this Add-On for FSX approaches the reality with photo-realistic ground textures, accurate buildings, runways, taxiways and the official approaches with waypoints, localizers and glide paths. More than 1200 objects, 60 individual scenery-models, approx. 100 custom ground polygons and lines have been created. One big problem was to adopt the terrain mesh to fit the new airport. The actual state of January 2019 has been adapted to the scenery. Photorealistic ground textures have been reworked. High resolution textures you find at the aprons and the vehicle parking areas at the General Aviation and Business Terminals. Accurate Night Lighting and winter textures have been added. All buildings, Hangars and a lot of objects have been designed individually (no library objects). Even the taxiway and apron markings are hand-made. For P3D a different version can be downloaded. Works with VFR Germany and ORBX Northern Germany.

Norfolk VA Intl. Airport for FSX. Several improvements have been made to the default airport, including replacing the default terminal with new buildings modelled in FSDS, including gate numbers displayed on the buildings, correctly numbering and coding gates using Airport Design Editor 1.66.5555, a separate air cargo area with new custom buildings modelled in FSDS, drawing new vehicle paths so as to prevent airport vehicles from accessing the taxiways, adding ample GA parking, changing the tower view to the roof of the control tower, and including the option of having both runways open to AI traffic. Also included are Jim Dhaenen's excellent ramp lights and a set of GA flight plans to liven up the GA area. Please read the README FIRST.txt and installation.txt files to insure proper installation of all files.

| USCG Air Station Sitka PASI Scenery Package with AI Aircraft |

Thanks to Airport Design Editor(ADE), Military AI Works (MAIW) scenery and aircraft, along with AI Flight Planner3 (AIFP3), I did my best to re-create USCG Air Station Sitka for FSX. Creating this airport scenery (along with Kodiak PADQ) was my first attempt at a BIG (for me) scenery project in ADE, but thanks to MAIW and their Global Scenery Library Objects, I think I've succeeded in re-creating the airbase. You'll need to go to MAIW's website and download that "Global Scenery" file for any of this to work, so I've copied that website link below (in STEP 1). I also added Sitka markings to all the AI helicopters for added realism.
And just for fun, I placed a USCG Cutter and a "fishing boat in distress" (complete with green smoke) out in the harbor as a "Practice Rescue Scenario". The Cutter has a "hard deck" to land on and I've also illuminated both it and the Fishing boat for DUSK and NIGHT practice.
*SPECIAL NOTE* THE AI C-130 in the pictures is from my Kodiak scenery package, there are only Helicopters based at Sitka...but I have it "fly in" from my Kodiak scenery package. So if you're interested in that, you can find the "USGC Air Station Kodiak AK PADQ Scenery Package with AI Aircraft" on AVSIM as well.

RAF Aldermaston (ICAO X2AM) is a former Royal Air Force station located 8 miles (13 km) east of Newbury, Berkshire and 9.8 miles (15.8 km) southwest of Reading, Berkshire, England.
Originally built as an RAF Bomber Command airfield during 1941-1942, Aldermaston was transferred to the United States Army Air Forces in August 1942.
Placed under the jurisdiction of Eighth Air Force, it was home to several Douglas C-47 Skytrain Troop Carrier Groups. It was transferred to Ninth Air Force in 1943 primarily as a Troop Carrier Command base. Returned to RAF Control at the end of 1945, it was used by Technical Training Command before being placed on Care and Maintenance. In 1946, it was transferred to the Ministry of Civil Aviation and used by BOAC aircraft for training.
Also used by the Ministry of Aircraft Production for Supermarine Spitfire assembly and flight testing, the airfield closed in 1950 and the site became home of the Atomic Weapons Research Establishment (later the Atomic Weapons Establishment) from 1950.

File Description:
This scenery is a representation of RNAS Anthorn (HMS Nuthatch) prior to runway and taxiway upgrades completed in 1948. It is not 100% accurate and no claim is being made that it is.
The scenery was made using ADE and is intended for use in FSX along with Horizon GenX VFR scenery but should work ok in Basic FSX.
Some History: Anthorn air field (also known as RAF Anthorn, RNAS Anthorn and HMS Nuthatch) was an airfield approximately 430 KM north-northwest of London
The airfield was built in february 1918 as a Fleet Air Arm (FAA) airfield. It was abandoned after World War I ended, however. The RAF reinstated the airfield at the beginning of World War II as an emergency landing ground for nearby RAF Silloth.
The site was taken over by the Royal Navy in December 1942, and renamed the site RNAS Anthorn. It was commissioned in September 1944 as 'HMS Nuthatch'.
The airfield served as No. ARDU (Aircraft Receipt and Dispatch Unit), a unit that accepts aircraft from their manufacturers and prepares them for operational use.
The last official flight took off from the airfield in November 1957. It was then put on Care and Maintenance, before it closed down in March 1958.
In 1961 the site was chosen to become a NATO VLF transmitting site for communicating with submarines. Construction of the site, by Continental Electronics of Dallas, U.S.A., began in 1962.
The station was accepted on behalf of the MoD in November 1964.
