I was flying around the FSX world looking for a real world sloping airstrip just begging to be modeled with a touchdown tire squealing, smoking rubber - that kind of hardened surface sloping runway after I finally figured out how to persuade the FSX SDK to compile one. The Airfield Candidate shall have high density LiDAR elevation and high resolution Orthoimagery data available for public download. I was flying a Beechcraft Baron 58 over Wanaque Reservoir in Northeast NJ of all places when I happened upon a photo scenery runway on a sloping hill top without the usual FSX flattened airport plateau effect and FSX textured runway. NOTE: This scenery requires the RWY12 and EZScenery Object libraries. 5R2 is located in Ocean Springs, Mississippi and is the airport where I learned to fly, having never been upgraded in FS, I decided it was time to do so.
It is not 100% accurate as of yet, I will be updating it once I find the time to visit it in the real world again. I hope you enjoy flying the beautiful Gulf Coast! This scenery was originally made for the great community of FSEconomy

FSX Scenery - Scott Air Force Base (IATA: BLV, ICAO: KBLV, FAA LID: BLV) is a base of the United States Air Force in St. Clair County, Illinois, near Belleville. The base is named after Corporal Frank S. Scott, the first enlisted person to be killed in an aviation crash. The base is operated by the 375th Air Mobility Wing (375 AMW) and is also home to the Air Force Reserve Command's 932d Airlift Wing (932 AW) and the Illinois Air National Guard's 126th Air Refueling Wing (126 ARW), the latter two units being operationally gained by the US Air Force's Air Mobility Command (AMC). This detailed Namsos scenery corresponds to the current airport layout of ENNM. The near surroundings are designed based on a satellite photo so that VFR flights and VFR orientation should be very easy. The second bridge "Namsos Bridge" a bit far west of the airport is included, also the City of Namsos, a cruise ship dock and the marina south of the Namsos Bridge and much more.
We have a photo background which fits all four seasons and an additional night texture.
