Chas mod of Stearmandriver RNP RNAV Approach into PAJN Rwy 26 for 737NGX

File Description:
Modded StearmanDriver(SD) RNP RNAV Rwy 26 into PAJN, Juneau, Alaska. SD gave us a cool little route that while not LATLONG nor Fixname accurate, it couldn't be without legal and occupational liabilities...and it worked, but if you look at his FixNames and the LATLONG from the PAJN.txt file for the 737 NGX...it did work pretty nicely...at least as nicely as the charted RNAV course into Rwy 8. So I created my own procedure LATLONG rightly or wrongly in a multi-step procedure as follows:

1. I took the raw info provided by SD and flew to each of his waypoints,(if you look, almost all of his FIXs were rounded off...to avoid company or legal problems) noting safe altitude, starting out at 7000ft, creating user waypoints in my GTN750, looking around for first, vertical, then horizontal safety...keeping in mind that Ultimately...I would not be using this data for my Duke, but for the Procedure page of my PMDG 737 NGX..which you already saw me fly with SD's fixes.
2. I took my Turbine Duke up and noted the REAL LATLONG as reported by slewing and world map...transposed those numbers into the format that PMDG's procedures needed DDD.mm fractional minutes. I converted using http://www.directionsmag.com/site/latlong-converter/
3.I created my own mid-point user waypoints from the west CHRTRN,and the NNE CHRTS so we could have approaches from those directions.
4. I put my Duke into autopilot, knowing the lateral info...my flightplan was correct, but I would have to handle the Vnav manually. Turns out its rather manageable with the following info: CHRTRN 5000FT - MARMN 3500FT - TRDWL 2500FT - SALMN 1500 - LEMNN 500 - PAJN5 50

FSX Hardest Approaches

File Description:
This is a list of the approaches in FSX, I personally find "not easy to fly". Some of the airports are not standard on FSX and require an add-on installation. The files are available here on avsim. Enjoy and tell me how often you crashed. One recommendation: If you try Kai Tak with the PMDG 747-400, make sure your landing weight is pretty small.

South African Intersections (Fixes)

Kokoda Track, Papua New Guinea

File Description:
For those who are interested and bush piloting lovers, I have created a detailed flight plan for FSX/P3D (*.PLN) in which you can load into your Simulator. the FP follows all 10 airstrips that are part of the Orbx "FTX PI AYPY" scenery pack of the Kokoda track at Papua New Guinea (excluding helipads). the FP starts at Kokoda airfield (AYKO) and ends at the end at the same Kokoda airfield (round trip).
The FP is also set in a way that it brings your plane & aligns you at the angle of the runway for landing. the Flight plan is intended to be used with Orbx FTX AYPY scenery. You must have the "Orbx FTX PI AYPY Jacksons International Airport" installed in order for this to work as intended.

Retro AI Flagship Express 1991 Flightplans

Representative flightplans for this short lived 1991 cargo carrier that flew 3 DC-8-71Fs wet-leased from United between Detroit Willow-Run(YIP/KYIP) and Hong Kong Kai Tak(HKG/VHHX) via SFO and LAX for a few months. Includes the "ROSENBALM" callsign the company used as well as a link to the repaints by Jason King. Requires the AIA DC-8-71, Ttools, and Editvoicepack(for the callsign). Fully compatible with FS2004.

Springfields in the US VFR Tour

File Description:
As a tribute to the animated "Simpsons" TV series, I decided to plan and fly (virtually via FSX) VFR to a Springfield in each state that had one. There are over 40 Springfields in the US with some states having none and some greedy states having multiples. Not counting the multiples, this leaves by my count 33 Springfields. Pretending we have deep pockets and lots of time, we will fly a Cessna 172 to the airports closest to each Springfield in a circuitous route beginning and ending in North Carolina. The flights assume you understand VORs and flying them inbound and outbound as well as utilizing NDBs. The GPS is handy for positional awareness, but using it to get from waypoint to waypoint takes out the fun.

Three-Point Landings

File Description:
Three-Point Landings are not about tail-draggers, in fact there isn't one in sight! There are seven sets of three roughly triangular flights, each set involving landing at three airports (three points!), finishing where you started every time. Into the bargain, each set contains at least one airport generally considered to be difficult/dangerous. Places visited range from Scottish islands to Caribbean islands, from Alps to Himalayas to Rockies, and different aircraft are used, according to real-world practice. Download links are included for suggested aircraft and airports. A full Briefing is also included.
