This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47C 42-7945 flown by Lieutenant Spiros 'the Greek' Pisanos of the 334th FS, 4th FG, Finschhafen, New Guinea, 1944. Born in Athens, Greece, in the suburb of Kolonos, on 10 November 1919, Spiros Nicholas "Steve" Pisanos, the son of a subway motorman, came to America in April 1938, as a crew member on a Greek Merchant ship. Arriving in Baltimore, Maryland and unable to speak English, Steve found his way to New York City, where he worked in bakeries and restaurants. As he earned money he started flying lessons at Floyd Bennett Field. In August 1940, he setled i Plainfield, New Jersey, his adopted home town, and continued flying lessons at Westfield Airport. He earned a private pilot's license and, although still a Greek national, in October 1941 he joined the British Royal Air Force sponsored by the Clayton Knight Committee in New York City.
Steve began his military flight training at Polaris Flight Academy in Glendale, California. Upon graduation, Pilot Officer Pisanos was transferred to England where he completed RAF Officers Training School at Cosford, England and OTU (Operational Training Unit) at Old Sarum Aerodrome in Salisbury. Pilot Officer Pisanos was posted to the 268 Fighter Squadron at Snailwell Aerodrome in Newmarket flying P-51A's. He later transferred to the 71 Eagle Squadron, one of the three Eagle squadrons in the RAF, comprised of American volunteers flyin Spitfires at Debden RAF Aerodrome.
When the USAAF 4th Fighter Group absorbed the American members of the Eagle Squadrons in September and October 1942, Pilot Officer Pisanos was commissioned a lieutenant in the U.S. Army Air Forces. On 3 May 1943, Lt. Pisanos was naturalized as an American citizen in London, England, becoming the first individual in American history to be naturalized outside the Continental United States.
Flying his first mission in his P-47 "Miss Plainfield" out of Debden Aerodrome with the 334th Fighter Squadron, 4th Fighter Group, Lt. Pisanos, "The Flying Greek," scored his first victory on 21 May 1943, when he downed a German FW-190 over Ghent, Belgium. by 1 January 1944 he had become an ace with five confirmed victories. On 5 March 1944, he obtained his 10th victory and while returning from that B-17 escort mission to Limoges and Bordeaux, France, Steve experienced engine failure in his P-51B and crash-landed south of Le Havre. For six months he evaded the Germans and worked with the French Resistance and the American OSS sabotaging the German war machine in occupied France. Lt. Pisanos returned to England on 2 September 1944, following the liberation of Paris.
Upon returning to the United States, Captain Pisanos was assigned to the Flight Test Division at Wright Field, Ohio. He attended the USAF Test Pilot School and subsequently served as a test pilot at Wright Field and Muroc Lake, California, testing the YP-80 jet aircraft. During his career in the USAF, Steve graduated from the University of Maryland, attended the Air Command and Staff College and the Air War College. In December 1973, after a distinguished thirty years of service in the United States Air Force, he retired with the rank of Colonel. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Martin Catney

panel aliased from the default Boeing 737-800.
This repaint represents the actual B737-400 of JPATS (Justice Prisoner & Alien Transportation System) and has no cabin crew except a bunch of US Marshalls. Textures are saved in 32-bit extended BMP format. See also my other work at http://www.airmedia4you.de

File Description:
Flyglobespan was a Scottish low-cost airline and operated from Glasgow, Edinburgh and Aberdeen. After financial difficulties it ceased operations on 16 December 2009. MSN 30687 was the first 737-700 to operate for Flyglobespan when it was leased in may 2007 from ILFC. After the bankruptcy of Flyglobespan, the aircraft was stored at Southend and later in Belgrade and Bogota, Colombia. From March 2010 it operated for Aires in Colombia and is currently operated by LAN Colombia.

A repaint of Free Sky Project's (ex Project Opensky) FSX Boeing 747-400D model with the colors of All Nippon Airways' "Pokemon Jet" livery registered JA8957. A hand-painted repaint in Photoshop. Model included. VC Merged with the default 747. Sound aliased with the default 737 (though there's a suggestion in the readme file). ANA uses this for Japanese domestic flights. This is a repaint of the Fokker F-27 in Gulf Air colors. The freeware CalClassic F-27 by Tom Gibson and Bernward Bockheim is needed for this repaint. Gulf Air operated the F-27 from 1967 to around the early 1980s. Gulf Air started to replace them in 1977 with the 737-200. This repaint was tested on P3D v3 and FSX. The textures are in 32bit BMP. This repaint should work on FS2004 as well.

PMDG 747-400 is required. This is a livery for the expansion -8i/F. FSX only
Cargo aircraft don't receive the same treatment as their PAX counterparts. Some, like
N856GT, wear "hybrid" liveries as they are transfered from one airline to another. Polar
Air Cargo, bought the 747-8F (N856GT) and the rest of the British Airways World Cargo
747-8Fs last year and have taken off the markings and decals of the previous carrier.
These planes, however, never recieved the new livery and now are flying a interim liveries
for Polar Air Cargo, sometimes operating as Atlas Air Cargo.

Boeing 747-400 with GE Series engines for use with PMDG 747-400X.
This is a fix and update repaint of the Qantas VH-OEB (aka Phillip Island) with the "Come Play" livery (uploaded on 21 June 2010), using Paint.NET v3.5.4. This fix excludes mips to reduce the bluries and flips the Australian flag correctly on the right fuselage.
The original Qantas livery was painted and uploaded to AVSIM by Jathedar Singh on 25 Oct 2008, hence, only the left and right fuselage texture files were edited to include the aircraft's latest livery where Qantas supports Australia's World Cup bid - www.australia2018-2022.com.au.
Semi-transparent soccer balls on fuselage are not included.

File Description:
This is my second Era Alaska repaint release. The first one was for the "D" version of the B1900. Era Alaska also has the "C" version in their fleet, and this is based on their real world livery N575Q. In order to use these textures, you will need to own a copy of PMDG Express Beechcraft 1900C. Although this model was made for FS9, it works fine in FSX after a few modification provided by PMDG's website. In this package, I've given you the text entry you need to use it in FSX since that is what I use. If you choose to use them in FS9, just follow the format in your aircraft.cfg file and enjoy your flight.

Polar Airline is a subsidiary of Atlas Worldwide Cargo company and operates a portion of the new 747-87U(F) family
for the parent airline. When DHL showed interest in taking part in the large 747-8F cargo program, they contracted
Polar Air Cargo to operate one of their new 747-8Fs under DHL operations. Polar Operates N853GT currently for DHL
and the aircraft was delivered in 2012-12-04.
