Slick / Aviation Traders Douglas C-54A Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. One repaint represents Resort Airlines' C-54A (modified to DC-4 standard) N65142 while on lease to Slick Airways from 1 July 1959 till 30 June 1960 for military charter flying (Logair) for the U.S. Goverment. After having returned to Resort Airlines she was placed in open storage at Oakland, CA. The other repaint represents the same aircraft in her British ferry markings she carried in July 1961. Around 1961-62 five ex-Resort C-54s which had been stored at Oakland for some time, ranging from several months to 6 years, were rescued by Aviation Traders (of Southend and Stansted, England) from the scrapdealer's axe and converted to ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry and cargo aircraft. N65142, which was in a very poor condition after her Logair period of minimal maintenance and repeated overloading, as well as the abuse by the elements during the open air storage close to sea water, was one of these lucky birds.

These are textures only. You will need Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (DC4_V30X.ZIP). Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.

FSX/P3D Olympic Airways DC-3 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Olympic Airways colors. The freeware DC-3/C-47 v3 by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Greece's Olympic Airways was founded by the enigmatic shipping magnate Aristotle Onassis, in 1957. He was the only individual in the world of that day to own a national airline. In July 1956, the Greek State signed an agreement with Onassis, for the exclusive use of air transport in Greece. On April 6, 1957 Olympic Airways came onto the scene by replacing Greece's previous national airline; TAE. Olympic received their first jet in 1960, the DH Comet. Olympic Airways' Olympic rings logo was the definition of the golden years of civil aviation, classy and very eye-catching. Due to tragedy striking Onassis in 1973 with the death of his only son, who was a pilot himself and was going to be the new head of Olympic Airways. Onnasis heartbroken, sold Olympic to the Greek state a few months later. He passed away himself in 1975. Olympic operated over a dozen DC-3s. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE and should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.

Aerosoft F-16 Aerodynamic Performance Upgrade - VIPER 3.0 Package Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is an aerodynamic performance upgrade for the payware Aerosoft F-16 (the download version, NOT the version available through Steam...you can't "upgrade" that one!). Simply put, this upgrade will make ALL 21 of your Aerosoft F-16 models AWESOME fun to fly in FSX! I went through and individually "tuned up" ALL of the aircraft models that come with the Aerosoft purchase/download (excluding the 2 AI jets), so now ALL "CAT-I" models can pull & maintain 9g, all "CAT-III" models can pull & maintain 7g. Each jet can perform quick, precise aerobatic maneuvers and still be smooth and easy to fly while mid-air refueling or just cruising at altitude. A few more "upgraded" performance capabilities include... Maintain 7g in "CAT-3" model jets, 9g in "CAT-1" model jets (tested at 500kts and 10,000') Realistic Roll Rate Max Speed w AB @ 40,000' (Clean) - Mach 1.8+ Max Speed Mil Power @ Sea Level (Clean) - Mach 0.95 Cruise Speed - Mach 0.80 ...and MUCH MORE! I've streamlined the installation/upgrade process so it will only take a few minutes of easy cut/paste/replace work to get your F-16's upgraded and ready to fly!

Boeing B-17G "Sally B" G-BEDF Download

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the FSX Wings of Power II Boeing B-17G Flying Fortress, in the markings of "Sally B", the UK's last remaining airworthy B-17. One of the last Flying Fortress built at the Lockheed-Vega plant in Burbank, California, this aircraft was delivered new to the USAAF on June 19, 1945. Later, it was operated as a mapping surveyor in France before being brought to England in March 1975. In 1982, Ted White, the man who was responsible for bringing the aircraft to England, was tragically killed when his Harvard crashed at an air rally in Malta. In memory of Ted White, the inner starboard cowling will always be painted in yellow and black checkers, the same way Ted White's Harvard cowling was painted. For the past 31 years, "Sally B" has continued to fly, under the leadership of Elly Sallingboe and with the help of a dedicated team of volunteers. In 1990, "Sally B" played lead role in the movie "Memphis Belle," and continues to wear the same scheme she did during filming, with the exception of the Sally B nose art and checkered cowling.

Milviz F-4 Phantom Aerodynamic Performance Modification Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package contains a "Performance Modification" for the Milviz F-4 Phantom. It's next to impossible to accurately replicate the "flying house" characteristics of the F-4 in FSX, so instead I decided to just make it "fun to fly"! I made some changes to the "aircraft.cfg" and the "f4e_11.air" files to add some aerodynamic stability along with increased aerobatic performance, and the result is a jet that's fun and easy to fly. You can still spin the jet, but you'll have to do it "on purpose" now. Max speed "Clean" at 40,000 feet is Mach 2.0, max sustained G is 7.5 @ 450kts "clean", 6.5g with a full A/A loadout, and around 5.0g with an A/G loadout. PLUS as a BONUS, I included my modifications to the F-4's "Sound" files, located in the "Sound Modification" file folder. Using the "Audacity" app, I was able to MUTE the ANNOYING ADF Morse beep (Horray)! I also lowered the volume of the stall warning beep, the flaps motor, and the AB/Mil throttle "clicks"...they're still audible, just not as LOUD as they were before.
