| Douglas C-117D / Super DC-3 (N5739Y) - Fixes |

File Description:
FSX FIXES/IMPROVEMENTS for my previously released Douglas C-117D repaint
textures for privately owned red and white N5739Y (FSX_Douglas_C-117D_Private_Red-White_N5739Y.zip), for the freeware
Manfred Jahn and team Douglas C-117D (c117d_v1_beta.zip), which you must
have previously installed in FSX. Numerous adjustments to mismatched paint,
various anomolies, texture offsets, etc. in the wing leading edges, de-icer boots,
wingtips, glare shield (front vs.rear), starboard side problem between nose and
fuselage, space between inner and outer deicer boots, etc. Most were small and
hardly noticable, some were sticking out like a sore thumb and rather embarrassing
in hindsight (sorry). Belly pods repainted from gloss black to flat black (matching
the paint on the glare shield for better visual harmony). Gray rear tip of fuselage
located and painted red to match. Gray prop hubs painted for better visual appeal
and 'balance' with painted spinners. Antenna above cockpit repainted to match. And
alpha channels added for improved reflections. Very simple installation, just delete
the old texture folder and replace it with this new one. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

| A6M2 Zero "Last Samurai" (N8280K) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint for the A2A/Shockwave Productions WWII Fighters product. This repaint depicts the Nakajima A6M2 Model 21 owned/operated by the Texas Flying Legends Museum, based at Ellington Field, Houston, Texas, which flies at airshows around the country each year. The aircraft is referred to as the "Last Samurai", as it is the only A6M2 Model 21 Zero still flying, the same type which was used by the Japanese Navy during the attack on Pearl Harbor. Although the actual aircraft is almost entirely new-build, each part copied from original parts or drawings, the aircraft's identity originates from A6M2 serial number 1498, which was recovered from the Solomon Islands in the late 60's. The completed aircraft, which first flew in the summer of 2005, has been praised by Japanese aeronautical engineers and world experts as being the most accurate/authentic of all of the flying reproductions. The exterior repaint was created using Martin Catney's superb paintkit, and modified VC textures are included to closely match the real aircraft. This repaint will work for both FSX and FS2004.

| R2 Level-D 767 X-House Livery GE PW RR Engine Tuneup Kit |
|
File Description:
Revision 2 - I noticed the following issues on the default GE, PW, and RR Level-D 767 X-House livery winglet models. 1. The GE and PW X-House models were missing the stopped and running fan blade textures. 2. The GE X-House model uses a matching X-House engine nacelle texture. However, when selecting the PW or RR X-House models, the standard Level-D House livery (non-winglet) engine nacelle texture is used. This Level-D 767 X-House GE, PW, and RR Engine Tuneup Kit fixes the above issues with 4 edited textures (complete folders included). NOTE: This package is for FSX, FSX SE, and Prepar3D only and won't work as is for FS2004. To use with FS2004, the 4 textures would simply need to be flipped (images and alphas) with DXTBMP and resaved as 32 bit .BMP's. There are no changes to any default Level-D texture folders and you can revert back to the Level-D X-House livery quickly. Naturally, the Level-D 767 is required !!! Enjoy!!!

File Description:
This is a repaint of the Lockheed L-1011-1 in TWA 'Star Stream' Double Globe colors. The freeware Lockheed L-1011-1 by Eagle Rotorcraft Simulations (George Arana) native FSX conversion with VC, of Erick Cantu's Lockheed L-1011-1 is needed for this repaint (link provided). On March 29 1968, TWA made an announcement, together with Eastern Airlines, for an order of 44 L-1011 Tristars (33 firm orders ans 11 options) with 22 deliveries scheduled for 1972. Thus, this multi-company contract officially launched the Lockheed widebody tri-jet, which was considered to be the most advanced civil airliner of its era. TWA advertised the L-0101 as 'the most advanced airliner in the sky' capable of flying itself from takeoff to landing. TWA operated 41 of these elegant airliners from 1972 to 1997. This repaint is of N81025, which was delivered to the carrier in November 1974 and flew for TWA until April 1997.
The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3.

FSX Douglas C-117D United Nations UN-147 repaint textures for the freeware
Manfred Jahn and team Douglas C-117D (c117d_v1_beta.zip), which you must
have previously installed in FSX. Repainted using Mr. Jahn's Photoshop paint
kit templates converted to bitmap and dds for compatibility with freeware
paint programs. Saved in 2048x2048 32bit. All hand painted details, including
photo real decals. Also includes engine exhaust smoke coordinates which you can
add to your "aircraft.cfg" if you wish. A fictional repaint based on paint
features seen on several real world UN aircraft, with the number UN-147 on
the rear fuselage where the registration number is usually located, which is
based on the real world UN aircraft Casa C-212 UN-146, which was operated by
the Uruguayan Air Force FAU-531 until it's mountain crash in Haiti in 2009,
killing all 11 peacekeepers on board. This UN-147 repaint wears the Uruguayan

Images related to this file:
File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the North American B-25 by Roy Chaffin Studios (RCS). It shows B-25J PH-XXV "Sarinah" of the Royal Netherlands AF Historical Flight. The B-25J-20-NC SN 44-29507 now flying as "Sarinah" was accepted by the USAAF on September 28, 1944 and delivered on September 30, 1944. She departed the same day to Moody Field, Georgia. The TB-25J trainer-bomber came on duty with 2144 Base Unit, ATC starting October 7, 1944. During her Air Force career, she amassed nearly 6200 flight hours. In July of 1959, she was sold to Fogle Aircraft in Tucson, Arizona. Her civil registration was assigned as N3698G at that time. In November of 1959 she was sold to Aero Enterprises in Elkhart, Indiana. In March of 1962 she was sold to Verco Tropical Fisheries in Columbus, Ohio. She was converted to carry cargo in bomb bay and waist area in December of 1962. She was then sold in February of 1966 to Robert R. Johnson from Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. In November 1968, she was owned by Austin Williams. Sold again in July 1972 to Ernest G. Trapaga from Redondo Beach, California. In September of 1974 she was purchased by I. N. Burchinal of Paris, Texas. Then, in September of 1979 she was sold to Robert Wingate, then back to Burchinal in November who sold her to Reyline Aviation from Kissimmee, Florida. In June 1981 she was sold to Donald Webber of Baton Rouge, Louisiana. She flew as "Cochise". In December of 1989 she was sold to AMHO Corp from Wilmington Delaware and the registration was changed (in 1990) to N320SQ (representing the Dutch B-25 Mitchell 320 squadron). She was then ferried to Eindhoven, the Netherlands May 22-25 1990. The bomber was operated by the Duke of Brabant Air Force (DBAF) at Eindhoven Airport, Netherlands, who owned the bomber since 1996. From 1990 to 1999 she flew in RAF colors as "Lotys II". In April-May 1999 she was repainted in former ML-KNIL (NEIAF) colors and renamed "Sarinah". In 2009, her civil registration was changed to the current PH-XXV. Ownership was transferred in 2010 to the Royal Netherlands AF Historical Flight after a merger with DBAF. File Description:
The Beechcraft Baron 58 Alaska State Troopers Repaint has several blue and red stripes going down the tail, coming to an end on the bottom of the plane. On the bottom the lines don't meet up perfectly, but its the best I can do. Just under the pilot window, there is writing saying, "ALASKA STATE TROOPERS" in very readable letters. For more information on the aircraft, or if you have an application that can convert pictures taken in FSX to .jpgs or if you just want to talk to me, email me personally at [email protected]. Or check out my YouTube videos, which include the aircraft at www.youtube.com/user/keyofawesomefan/ (I know about the username, don't ask).
No requirements except FSX, and the default aircraft, Beachcraft Baron 58.
Please do not fly the aircraft outside of Alaska, as it was made for Alaska only. The inspiration came from the National Geographic show, 'Alaska State Troopers' and the fact that I was bored on a Friday afternoon. Thanks, I hope you enjoy it. Special thanks to AVSIM for reading all this stuff, I know they have to. See you in the skies!
