| Douglas C-47 (N65276) Frontier Airlines |

This folder contains a repaint for version 3.14 of the Douglas C-47 by Manfred Jahn and colleagues in the colors of Frontier Airlines N65276, one of the C-47/DC-3's operated by Frontier Airlines. On April 21, 1957, at 1321 hours, N65276, operating as Frontier Airlines flight 7 departed Prescott, Arizona enroute to Phoenix under visual flight rules (VFR) with 21 passengers and one stewardess. As the flight proceeded southbound toward Phoenix the weather deteriorated to a point where the flight could no longer remain clear of clouds and maintain VFR. Captain Welling requested and received an instrument flight rules (IFR) clearance to proceed to Phoenix via Knob intersection thence to the Phoenix omni range, maintain 7000 feet. The crew never acknowledged receiving the clearance. It is suspected that the reason there was no response is that this was the precise moment that flight 7 struck the west ridge of a mountain at the 4500’ level southeast of Prescott shearing off twelve feet of the left wing and six feet of the left aileron. After declaring an emergency, flight 7 landed safely at Phoenix Sky Harbor airport without further incident. There was no injury to the passengers or crew. The wing was replaced and the aircraft continued flying for Frontier. Sadly, N65276 was lost in a tragic accident in 1967 on a snowy Denver day when a rudder-lock had been placed on an elevator and not removed prior to take-off. Both pilots were killed in the crash. This was requested by Carl Lyndon Nepomuceno on Facebook.
If there is a tutorial online on how to make bare metal textures, I would totally make it by hand. Unfortunately there are none, and I mean like nothing at all. There was no complete tutorial or video on how to make that said texture, so I used AI to create one. I still have to sort a lot of things out like removing some of the belly and the back. There are also limited sources, both for references and decals. I made the "NORTHWEST ORIENT CARGO" Text using a Helvetica font from Fontsgeek, made my own letter "S" and used it for my livery. I had a previous version where I just used the text from a high quality Flickr photo, removed the background and added color. The references are limited for the "NORTHWEST CARGO" Livery specifically, as it seems like there are only 2 available photos of N618US with that exact livery. One in Facebook and another from Flickr (if I can remember). I also am not sure if the "CARGO" Text is a very dark shade of blue, or just black. If someone could verify that it is black, feel free to contact me so I can change it!
After this, I'll make the N800FT and N801FT liveries, but I would still have to make the JA822J 787-8 "Old Livery" of JAL.
The Livery 2 is the livery in 1977 while Livery 1 is 1979, so I may have accidentally switched it! But it is too late now...

| De Havilland DH89A Dragon Rapide - G-AHAG - Four Repaints |

File Description:
These four repaints are of G-AHAG from various times in her career. This is from the freeware Dave Garwood model of the DH89, an aircraft that I thoroughly recommend you to download if you have not.
G-AHAG was built in 1945 as one of 335 Dominies built by Loughborough based Brush Coachbuilders. She was owned by Blackburn aircraft of Brough. I have included one of its liveries from this spell in this package. She then did a spell at the original Scillonia airways, being painted in the livery promoting Scenic Flights, another one that I have included in this package. After Scillonia Airways ceased operations in 1969, she was sold and subsequently leased to The Army Parachuting Association. Here, she was painted in the orange livery included. However, there only appears to be one photo online of her in this livery, from 1975, after being unofficially written off, following an incident involving someone ending up in the radio bay after jumping from a Britten-Norman Islander above. I have used this photo as a basis for the livery, so it may be incorrect.
After a very lengthy rebuild of 30 years at Membury Airfield in Berkshire, she was repainted in a scheme based on the original Scillonia Airways livery. This is the fourth repaint included in this pack.
