File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A/Aircraft Factory F4-U Corsair, in the colors of the aircraft of Robert Hampton "Hammy" Gray VC, DSC. Lt Grey was a Canadian naval officer, pilot, and recipient of the Victoria Cross (VC) during World War II, one of only two members of the Royal Navy's Fleet Air Arm to have been thus decorated in that war. The citation for his VC read: "The KING has been graciously pleased to approve the award of the VICTORIA CROSS for valour to: — the late Temporary Lieutenant Robert Hampton GRAY, R.C.N.V.R.,for great valour in leading an attack on a Japanese destroyer in Onagawa Wan, on 9th August, 1945. In the face of fire from shore batteries and a heavy concentration of fire from some five warships Lieutenant Gray pressed home his attack, flying very low in order to ensure success, and, although he was hit and his aircraft was in flames, he obtained at least one direct hit, sinking the destroyer. Lieutenant Gray has consistently shown a brilliant fighting spirit and most inspiring leadership."
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the A2A paintkit.

Before being transferred to the 91st BG, this aircraft flew two missions with the 95th BG, as 'Easy Aces'. It came to the 91st in june 1943 and was assigned to the care of M.Sgt. Bob Dalton as crew chief. His assitent, Jack Gaffney named it 'The Shamrock Special', adnd painted two girls on either side of the nose, and later a third girl on the tail. This was probably the only aircraft in the 91st with three pieces of art on it. In november, the aircraft, while undergoing repairs, was hit by battle damaged Fort without brakes, ironically called 'the Careful Virgin'. The tail end was severely damaged during the collision, and the whole tail end was replaced with the tail of another aircraft that was damaged from the front. On 30 december 1943, she was back in action and completed another 12 missions, for a total of 26 with the 91st.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

File Description:
Repaint of the C172R LN-PWA as owned by the Sandefjord Flyklubb, Norway. The real world plane uses the 180 HP upgrade (check the Air Plains sticker included in the paint!), so for full realism be sure to switch to the McCauley 76" 60" prop using the A2A Maintenance Hangar! The prop itself has also been repainted to look like its real world counterpart. For those who rather use the default prop: I have also repainted the default prop to look like the real world prop on the LN-PWA.
