Aeritalia G91Y 32 Stormo Shark Download

File Description:
textures only for Massimo Altieri g91y. textures 32 st by Massimo Grassi The Fiat G91Y was a reconnaissance and ground-attack aircraft produced by Italian company FIAT as an evolution of Fiat G91. The first flew took place in 1966. It was a complete redesign, but the major difference was that G91Y installed 2 engines, in order to increase the power and the capability to survive to damages during war operations. The single Bristol Orpheus turbojet engine of G91 was then replaced by two afterburning General Electric J85 turbojets which increased thrust by 60% over the single-engined variant. Structural modifications to reduce airframe weight increased performance further and an additional fuel tank occupying the space of the G.91T's rear seat provided extra range. Combat manoeuvrability was improved with the addition of automatic leading edge slats. Flight testing of three pre-production aircraft was successful, with one aircraft reaching a maximum speed of Mach 0.98. Airframe buffeting was noted and was rectified in production aircraft by raising the position of the tailplane slightly. An initial order of 55 aircraft for the Italian Air Force was completed by Fiat in March 1971. The order was increased to 75 aircraft with 67 eventually being delivered. The first pre-series 'Yankee' (the nickname of the new aircraft) flew in July 1968. AMI (Italian Air Force) placed orders for two batches, 35 fighters followed by another 20, later cut to ten. The last one was delivered around mid 1976, so the total was two prototypes, 20 pre-series and 45 series aircraft. No export success followed. These aircraft served with 101° Gruppo/8° Stormo (Cervia-S.Giorgio) from 1970, and later, from 1974, they served with the 13° Gruppo/32° Stormo (Brindisi) until the early '90s, as the only ones equipped with the 'Yankee', using them as attack/recce machines, both over ground and sea, until the AMX replaced them. File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire LF IXc OO-ARE as it looked around 1960 when flying as a target tug with Cogea in Belgium. Originally NH238, it went to the Dutch Air Force in 1946, where it flew as H-60 and H-103. It went to the Belgian Air Force in 1952, becoming SM-36. It was sold to Cogea of Ostend in 1956, and was used as a target tug until 1961 with the registration OO-ARE. It was sold to the UK, becoming G-MKIX. It was dameaged from a ground fuel explosion in Exter in 1961, but restored again. It went to the US in 1969, where it became N238V, returning to the UK again in 1979. It was last flown as NH238/D-A, but it was removed from the registry in 2002. It is rumored to be in storage at Greenham Common. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

Iris F-16D VFC-12 'Saints' CAG Repaint Textures Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
These repaint textures are for the IRIS F-16D and depict US Navy VFC-13 'Saints' CAG #13 aircraft. I know the real CAG jet is a "C" model, but I figured the IRIS "D" jet would look good in black as well! I also added a BUNCH of 'custom' items to the jet to make it look more realistic. I added a BUNCH of little extras to this repaint to make it look more realistic. For example, I upgraded the wingtip missile rails for the CLEAN model, custom painted the GE engine nozzle to look like the "Pratt & Whitney" on the real jet, modified the weapons texture file so that the AIM-9's appear all-blue like they do on the real jet, plus the GBU's and LGB's will be "dummy/inert blue" as well. I also customized the pilot textures and added a mirrored/reflective helmet visor. Plus, since the VFC-13 pilots wear either Desert Tan or OD Green flight suits, I made textures for both and you can choose your preference.

P51B #43-7061 'Old 7' Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the P-51B/C model for FSX by Warbirdsim. It shows 'Old 7', 43-7061, which was the pride and joy of the 2nd FS/52nd FG. It flew over 125 operational missions, amassing 778 flying hours and shot down at least 8 enemy aircraft, without suffering a single mechanical failure. It was lovingly maintained at first by S/Sgt Vincent Reagan, and later by S/Sgts James Lynes and C.G. Jones. By december 1944, it was the oldest aircraft in the 2nd FS, and it remained so. The officers and men of the 2nd FS were so proud of 'Old 7' that they tried to have her sent to the US for a warbond tour, but the Air Force was not interested. During its long career, it served as the regular mount for Capt. Arthur Johnston (who named it Marie and flew it as QP-M), Capt. William DeForest (when it was changed to Myrtle and QP-7) and Lt. Thomas Hoover, as well as several other pilots. Repaint by JanKees Blom, based on the warbirdsim paintkit.

AV Cargo "Lady Liege" McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F (Z-BAM) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FSX McDonnell-Douglas MD-11F repaint textures for the real world AV Cargo Z-BAM "Lady Liege", for the freeware SMS Overland MD-11 with P&W 4460 engines, which you must have previously installed in FSX. I installed the (SMS-MD-11_Dutch_Package.zip) with VC which works well with this repaint. Also includes engine exhaust smoke coordinates which you can add to your "aircraft.cfg" if you wish. AV Cargo, the airline born out of the ashes of the defunct Avient, welcomes this second MD-11F, Zimbabwe registered Z-BAM "Lady Liege", into it's fleet. The aircraft is the second on lease from Boeing Capital Corp. Avient Aviation, the Zimbabwe registered airline, was taken over by Simon Clarke and Neil Glover. We have worked hard to ensure a good service on the routes we offer into West Africa. This has given us a solid foundation to build our network further in preparation for the additional capacity. AV Cargo is now operating twice per week to Bamako, three times to Lagos, and has added Monrovia to complement the services to Port Harcourt, Pointe Noire, Ouagadougou, and Freetown, with additional destinations to be added. Screenshots enclosed. Easy installation. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.

B-24 USAAF 801st PG "Black Zombie" Download

File Description:
Wherever they were to be seen, the glossy black Consolidated B-24s of the 801st Provisional Group, based at Harrington in Great Britain, stood out like big full stops. The squadrons of this group dropped supplies and agents for the French Underground. They were known by the name 'Carpetbaggers'. This illustration is a machine of the 406th BS, one of the squadrons of the group. This B-24H-15-CF, originally 'The Loretta Ann' of the 850th BS, 490th BG coded 'N-', transferred on 6th June 1944 to 391st BS, 34th BG coded 'I', and further transferred on 18th January 1945 to the 492nd BG 856th BS who sent it on detached service to the 406th BS(NL), NL being Night Leaflet. It survived the war and returned to the US, arriving on 11th July 1945. It was stored at Albuquerque from 10th August 1945 where it was later cut up for scrap. This particular aircraft was not a Carpetbagger per se and obviously wasn't engaged in agent or supply dropping but leaflet distribution over the Continent as the war ran down. "Fantasy of Flight" AT-6 Texan (N3931Y) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint for the payware A2A Simulations AT-6 Texan. This repaint depicts AT-6D/AT-6G 49-3311, registered as N3931Y, which is owned/operated by Kermit Weeks at "Fantasy of Flight" in Polk City, FL. This aircraft was originally manufactured as an AT-6D in WWII for the USAAF, but was rebuilt to AT-6G standard in 1949 for the USAF. The aircraft served in the Spanish AF as a "Caza 6", C.6-167, from around 1962 all the way until 1982, serving as both a trainer and a frontline ground support aircraft, with machine guns mounted in the wings and rocket launchers under the wings. Imported into the US in the 80's, and flying on the civil register, the aircraft is painted as a tribute to the Women Airforce Service Pilots (WASP), with the markings of Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas, where they trained. The WASP insignia "Fifinella" is applied to the cowling, which was designed by Disney during the war. This aircraft is one of those which have been covered by Kermit Weeks in his popular "Kermie Cam" flight video series on Youtube. The repaint was created using the A2A product paintkit.

Resort Airlines Douglas C-54A (N57670) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package contains two repaints for Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 V3.0. Featured is the C-54A (modified to DC-4 standard) N57670 of Resort Airlines: one repaint representing the aircraft around 1956, the other at the end of its open air storage in 1961. Resort Airlines Inc (of Washington, DC, and Oakland, CA) was a US non-scheduled carrier that specialised in the operation of inclusive holiday tours to the Caribbean and also in military charter flying (Logair). The airline was operative between 1945 and 1960. Its fleet comprised of Curtiss C-46, Lockheed 1049H Super Constellation and Douglas DC-4/C-54 aircraft. Around 1961-62 five C-54s which had been stored at Oakland for some time, ranging from several months to 6 years, were rescued by Aviation Traders (of Southend and Stansted, England) from the scrapdealer's axe and converted to ATL.98 Carvair car-ferry and cargo aircraft. N57670, which was active with Resort during 1954-1956 only and had been deteriorating during the open air storage, was one of these lucky birds.

These are textures only. You will need Jens B. Kristensen's FSX Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (DC4_V30X.ZIP). Repaints by Maarten Brouwer.
