FS2004/FSX/P3D Fred Olsen C-46 1970 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the C-46 in Fred Olsen Lines 1970 colors. The freeware C-46 by Libardo Guzman and Tom Gibson is needed for this repaint. The famous Norwegian shipping magnate; Fred Olsen, formed his new airline "Fred Olsen’s Flyselskap" in June 1946. It was a nonscheduled carrier, which offered aircraft leasing, passenger and cargo charters, calibration flights, and contract service flights. They started with DC-3s and in 1958 five C-46s joined the fleet. Also, many of the company’s services were undertaken under contract to SAS, the national carrier of the Scandinavian countries. Fred Olsen Lines was focused mainly on cargo flights, and in 1965 their fleet had three C-46s and one DC-6A/B. Two more DC-6s were added to the fleet during 1966-67, followed by a Convair CV-340 in 1968. In 1969 Fred Olsen Lines' emphasis was to offer executive passenger charter services with their new Falcon executive jets. However, this special service did not work for the company, and in 1972 Olsen sold the two Falcons to the Royal Norwegian Air Force. So, the focus was back to Cargo, and in 1974 The first of many L-188Cs joined the fleet. The 1970s and 1980s were quite good for the ailrine and by 1986 the emphasis was shifted entirely to cargo charters. In 1997 Fred Olsen's airline ceased operations. The reasons offered were the loss of maintenance contracts, and difficulties in making a profit in the Central European freight market. This repaint is of C-46 LN-FOR, one of three C-46s operated by Fred Olsen. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. Textures are 32bit bmp. It should work on FSX, P3D v1-3, & FS2004.

Grumman Mallard (VH-TGA) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the freeware Grumman Mallard by Milton Shupe and LDR development. It shows VH-TGA, which was Mallard c/n J13 as used by Trans Australia Airlines in mid 1963 on the "Coralair Service". This airframe was constructed in late 1946 and delivered to Canada on 25-01-1947 as CF-FFG. By mid 1951 it was in Indonesia as PK-AKG with an offshoot of Shell Oil. It then moved to the Netherlands New Guinea register as JZ-POB in 1955. It eventually became VH-TGA in 1962 with East Coast Airlines followed by a transfer to Trans Australia Airlines in mid 1963 and used on the "Coralair Service". It was ferried into Auckland on 13-10-1963 and became ZK-CDV on the 15th for Utah-Williamson-Burnett at Invercargill. It still had some hydraulic problems as its nosewheel collapsed on 07-10-1964 at Invercargill. It was purchased in about 1969 by the Department of Internal Affairs and went to NAC in Christchurch for some refurbishment and a paint job before being cancelled on 21-02-1969 and marked up as VQ-FBC. This was for Air Pacific with whom it carried the name "Na Secala". It was withdrawn from use in Fiji on 04-10-1970 and cancelled from their register on 31-03-1971 for transfer to the US as N2442H the following day. It has soldiered on ever since; moving to Canada as C-GRZI for about a year in 1978 before returning to the US again. In June of 1993 it was sold to Steve Hamilton of Reno Nevada, who re-registered it as N2950 in March of 1998. It is still current. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the white textures that came with the model

FSX/P3D Seaboard World 707-345C 1968 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 707-345C in Seaboard World 1968 colors. The payware Captain Sim 707-300C is needed for this repaint. New York based, Seaboard & Western Airlines - an all cargo airline, was renamed Seaboard World Airlines on 26 April 1961. The "new" airline received the first of 6 CL-44 turboprops in August 1961. The CL-44 was the first modern airliner designed solely to carry freight. They were put into service after August 1961. By 1962, the Lockheed Constellations were all replaced, and Seaboard became an all-turbine-powered airline (with the exception of a solitary C-46 based in Europe). Two years later in 1964, Seaboard received their first pure jets in three DC-8-Fs. 1964 was the airline's best year ever, as profits jumped by 53%, and the future looked very bright. However, it was not to be. Seaboard was forced to compete over its routes with the freight capacity of the passenger airlines, which annually became more competent in the cargo field. Although they did have a bright spot in providing charters to the military, the air freight industry as a whole will eventually fail to achieve the traffic potential envisioned by "aviation experts". Nevertheless, Seaboard, with new jetliners at their disposal, went on and provided excellent service to its customers. They offered a wide range of cargo services to many points in Europe. Eventually, falling passenger charters and stiff competition took their toll. Seaboard was bought out in 1980 by the only real all-cargo success at the time - The Flying Tiger Line. Seaboard operated 2n 707-300Cs from 1968 to 1969. This aircraft, N7322S, was leased from VARIG in 1968. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE. It should work on FSX & P3D v1-3. Textures are DXT5 dds.

Consolidated PBY-5 RNZAF 6 Sqn XX-W Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of NZ4020 XX-W of the RNZAF. Bu08435, it flew with 6 Flying Boat Squadron. Following Japan's entry into the war in December 1941, the RNZAF had to switch from primarily training pilots to Europe into a combat force. No. 6 Squadron RNZAF was formed as an army co-operation unit at Milson in February 1942 flying Vickers Vildebeest and Hawker Hind aircraft. At the same time, No. 5 Squadron RNZAF moved to Fiji with Short Singapores and Vickers Vildebeest and Vincent biplanes. Modern maritime patrol flying boats (and more Hudson light bombers) were requested under Lend Lease and when the first Consolidated Catalinas arrived a detachment of men from No. 5 Squadron was assigned to convert to these types as No. 6 Squadron. Before the squadron was officially formed these men successfully completed their first air-sea rescue of a downed US aircrew. From May 1943 No. 6 squadron undertook action against the Japanese. The Squadron also conducted search and rescue missions for allied aircrew and seamen, and undertook many open sea rescues. XX-W arrived in Fiji on 21 October 1943. On February 18, 1944 it took off on a dumbo rescue mission to north Buka Island and landed to rescue two crew members and pick up a dead body from the crash of B-25, and successfully returned them to Halavo. On 26 May 1945, it stalled on landing at Hobsonville and was towed to its mooring by a crash boat. The induced damage resulted in the aircraft being written off charge on 18 June 1945. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (OR-R) 'Nine O Nine' Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G-30-BO 'Nine o nine". Nine-O-Nine was a Boeing B-17G-30-BO Flying Fortress heavy bomber, of the 323rd Bomb Squadron, 91st Bomb Group, that completed 140 combat missions during World War II, believed to be the Eighth Air Force record for most missions, without loss to the crews that flew it. The original aircraft, a block 30 B-17G manufactured by Boeing, was nicknamed after the last three digits of her serial number: 42-31909. Nine-0-Nine was added to the USAAF inventory on December 15, 1943, and flown overseas on February 5, 1944. After depot modifications, she was delivered to the 91st BG at RAF Bassingbourn, England, on February 24, 1944, as a replacement aircraft, one of the last B-17s received in factory-applied camouflage paint. A former navigator of the 91st BG, Marion Havelaar, reported in his history of the group that Nine-O-Nine completed either 126 or 132 consecutive missions without aborting for mechanical reasons, also believed to be a record. M/Sgt. Rollin L. Davis, maintenance line chief of the bomber, received the Bronze Star for his role in achieving the record. Her first bombing raid was on Augsburg, Germany, on February 25, 1944. She made 18 bombing raids on Berlin. In all she flew 1,129 hours and dropped 562,000 pounds of bombs. She had 21 engine changes, four wing panel changes, 15 main gas tank changes, and 18 changes of Tokyo tanks (long-range fuel tanks). After the hostilities ceased in Europe, Nine-O-Nine was returned to the United States on June 8, 1945, and was consigned to the RFC facility at Kingman, Arizona on December 7, 1945, and eventually scrapped. B-17G-85-DL, 44-83575, civil registration N93012, owned and flown by The Collings Foundation, Stow, Massachusetts, flew marked as the historic Nine-O-Nine until its crash on the 2nd of October 2019. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom.

FSX/P3D ANA - All Nippon Airways 747SR-81 1980 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the 747SR-81 (Short Range) in ANA - All Nippon Airways classic 1980 "Mohican" colors. The freeware 747-200 by Project Open Sky - POSKY is needed for this repaint. All Nippon Airways Company, Ltd. (ANA) was formed on March 1, 1958 through the merger of two small companies. The Japanese government granted the carrier full certification to operate over domestic trunk routes on April 1, 1959, and by the mid 60s it was Japan's biggest domestic airline with a comprehensive network. During this time through to the 1970s, ANA expanded its fleet size greatly. ANA ordered its first jetliner, the 727-181, in 1964 and by 1978 they had a vast fleet of jetliners at their disposal, including the queen of the skies, the 747. ANA operated its first international flight, a charter flight, on July 15 and 31 1970, with YS-11s to Pusan, South Korea. However, a fully scheduled international flight was still in the distant future. In 1978 ANA held the position as the world’s sixth largest airline. Not bad for a domestic carrier. The carrier’s longest domestic route, the 2,051-km Sendai–Okinawa segment was opened in 1980. Interestingly, First-Class service was introduced on Japanese domestic flights as late as July 1985. In December 1985, the Japanese government opened international operations to all of the country’s airlines by revising its air transport policy and deregulating the industry. This included domestic carriers. ANA's desire for international routes became a reality and joined the fray It flew its first fully international scheduled route with a four times a week service to Guam, on March 3 1986. Today it has a vast network of international flights, and they are easily Japan's biggest carrier with 233 aircraft. They were also the launch customer of the 787. ANA has been going from strength to strength ever since its inception. For them, the sky's the limit. It might work on FS2004 as well. Textures are 32bit bmp.

FSX/P3Dv3 Alisarda F-27-200 1973 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint of the F-27-200 in Alisarda colors. The freeware FSX Native with VC F-27-200 by Bjorn Kesten is needed for this repaint. It was converted from Mike Stone's and Tom Gibson's models. The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3. Alisarda was an Italian airline based at Olbia, in Sardinia. It was established on March 28, 1963 as an air taxi company registered under the official name Linee Aerea della Sardegna SpA. Their first aircaft were two Beech 18s and Alisarda only provided a charter service. However, one year later,in 1964, they opened their fist scheduled service from Olbia to Rome. 1965 proved to be a pivotal year for the carrier. A reorganization was carried out whereby an agreement was concluded with Algenova for technical and commercial support. New investors were found, and in February 1965 two new Nord 262s were ordered from Nord Aviation. Due to this greater transport capacity, the transport figures increased strongly and in 1966 a total of 5,640 passengers were transported. The passenger loads increased dramatically in 1968 and 1969, so, Alisarda purchased three F-27 Friendships to take up the extra loads. The airline entered the 1970s with strength, and in January 1974 they received their first pure jets with the purchase of two DC-9-14s from Delta Airlines, I-SARJ and the I-SARV. 1977 saw them purchase two DC-9-32s, followed by three DC-9-50s in 1983, which replaced the aging DC-9-14s. In 1984 they received two new Maddog 82s. Their route network by 1989 consisted of domestic flights to many cities in Italy, plus international routes to Zurich, Geneva, Munich, Frankfurt, Paris, and Nice. In 1991 Alisarda merged with the Spanish carrier Universair, as the shareholders wanted to become a bigger players on the European market. The new carrier was named Meridiana. Thus, the name Alisarda ceased to exist.

New!  FS2004/FSX/P3D Project Airbus Himalaya Airlines 9N-ALV Airbus A320-214(WL) Download

File Description:
(TEXTURES ONLY)
(ONLY TESTED IN FSX: STEAM EDITION)
This was requested by Ney Costa on the Official Project Airbus Facebook Group.
This was my attempt on making my own lightmaps for the logo lights, and honestly, it came out better than I expected! I used Kevin Chung's photos of 9N-ALV from Flickr to copy it.
I also changed the wing inspection lights from the Incandescent Halogen Lightbulbs to the Light Emitting Diode, or LED Lightbulbs to match the aircraft.
A320s from the 2010s and 2020s usually arrive with these updated lights. Not just the NEO, LR and XLR planes but also the normal CEO planes as well.
My first attempt on doing the LED Wing Inspection Lightbulbs were bad as I usually just copy and paste them from A321 photos from Flickr, I needed them for my Royal Air Philippines NNJT A321PCF Livery Pack, which I will try to soon complete as it will include RP-C9867, RP-C9866, and RP-C9869.
So, my second attempt on finding photos was with this livery, and it just looks much better than the 2nd attempt. I even included both the Incandescent Lights and LED Lights in the Decal just in case someone wants to use it. It is from Kevin Chung's photos, which I greatly appreciated!!!
Another thing is that this is my 2nd attempt on doing the livery, as my first was actually done all the way back in late 2023 / early 2024. But unfortunately, while it was completed, it was from my old laptop, which is now broken. A lot of those other liveries that I made but never released were there as well. I could try re-creating them though, like the Sun Country A320 Fictional Livery I made months ago when I also originally did it back in 2024.

Boeing B-17G 91st BG (LG-O) "Roxy's Special" Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17G-85-BO #43-38348 LG-O "Roxy's Special" of the 322 BS/ 91st BG based in Bassingbourne UK. #348 arrived in Bassingbourne on 18 August 1944, and very quickly received her nose art, by Corporal Tony Starcer. By 5 September, it had flown four missions to Germany. The next mission, on the 8th of September, was to the I.G. Farben Chemical Plant in Ludwigshafen, Germany. On board this mission was David McCarty, pilot, Neil M. Mylin, co-pilot, Donald L. Brazones, navigator, Frank S. Bolen, bombardier, John Cangemi, top turret, Frank F. Trim, Jr., ball turret, Charles E. Beebe, waist guns, Floyd Z. Dillon, tail gun, and Henry R. Schuls, radio operator. Around 11.35 hours, short of the bomb drop near Ludwigshafen, “Roxy’s Special” took a hit ripping off a wing. A spin ensued pinning Bolen and navigator Don Brazones in their nose bubble followed almost immediately by an explosion blowing them free of the aircraft. Bolen and Brazones were the only two survivors of “Roxy’s Special.” They both parachuted down, but not together, therefore neither knew the fate of the other until later. Bolen eluded capture for 7 days before being picked up and carted off to Stalag Luft 1 near Barth, Germany after interrogations. Brazones had been picked up before Bolen and processed through the channels to Stalag Luft 1. The two were reunited at Stalag Luft 1 where they spent the remainder of the war. On Sept. 14, 1944, the day Bolen was captured, his wife Frances gave birth to their first child, Linda, in Selma - a child Bolen would not see until returning from imprisonment and the war. The “Roxy’s Special” crash site was near a Lutheran Church in Ludwigshafen. A very respectful group of Germans removed the remains of the air crew and buried them in the local cemetery. After the war, the remains were turned over to American authorities and they moved them to a National Cemetery in Northern France. In 1947, Bolen served as casket bearer for David McCarty when he was brought home to rest in Birmingham. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

Virgin Galactic Boeing 747-8i Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
FSX Boeing 747-8i Virgin Galactic with advanced VC by Alejandro Rojas Lucena and VC Textures Upgrade by Enrique Cornejo, founder of the Flightsim Workshop Project. This gives the b747 a payware Virtual Cockpit look and now with green leather tapestry on the sides of the seats. It even has a pilot jacket hanged in the rear of the cockpit (besides the right jumpseat). The panel.cfg and the aircraft.cfg have been assembled and edited by the Flightsim Workshop Team. Now you can pop up "My icons" window in the Virtual Cockpit to easily reach the following windows: GPS, avionics, map, ATC, Climb/Radio Altimeter/Spoiler switch, auto-break switch, throttle quadrant, clock, descent meter, kneeboard and overhead panel. A new feature in My Icons Window I added is a new Pitot Heat switch with ON and Off features, (XML gauge by Enrique Cornejo). cold weather, the Pitot Heat switch works just like in real life, so if its turned off the air speed indicator will stop working, so make sure you turn the Pitot Heat switch on before taking off! The autopilot ON switches have green lights which make them look more realistic. Center ATC identification in this aircraft is "Boeing 747". We have also fixed the position of the strobe lights so when the aircraft is flying they are in the right place, so turn on the strobe lights switch after take off. The cockpit view from the pilots seat is now more comfortable because the distance between the cockpit and the seat is longer. The aircraft has new engine views (from both wings) and new Virtual Cockpit interior views from the left, right and central jump seats. The brakes has a differential brake system to make smoother turns in ground. The Virgin Galactic Spaceship texture is wonderful and it has a unique paint scheme by Enrique Cornejo which also includes details such as some stains caused by humidity in the fuselage and the wing flaps and other details just like a real aircraft. Real smoke in the four engines, just select key, more cabin views, realistic cockpit and engines sound & more realistic night VC lights and fuselage night textures, in the VC just select key and reset the overhead Instrument panel light dim switch in the overhead panel. The aileron parameters have also improved, so now the right and left turns are smoother. This aircraft uses the Project Opensky FSX Boeing B747-800 Model OSX748V4_GENX(MDL), and includes the gauge window Posky Utility to view the main stairs, ground cargo servicing, etc. The engine sounds are edited like the real ones with cockpit ambient, so you can enjoy a pleasant flight. The Flight Management Computer (FMC) is fixed and looks like a payware instrument. The VC includes FMC, Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MDF) displayed in the correct size. The virtual cockpit also has an Engine-Indicating and Crew-Alerting System also known as EICAS, Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS), working wipers, cabin lights, fire suppression, avionics switch, fuel cross feed, and you can identify those instruments in the overhead panel because they are bordered with color lines. You can also find landing lights switches, taxi light switch, engine generators, APU generator, battery switch, starter switches, de-ice switch, general lights switches which are a great work of Alejandro. So now the whole cockpit and texture upgrade with all these improvements looks better than a payware version. The clock numbers are now in orange which makes them look better and easily recognizable. Assembled and edited for FSX by Flightsim Workshop Founder Enrique Cornejo. 78 MB
