FSX/FS2004 RCAF Mustang MK IV KH661, 1945. A repaint for the payware Shockwave WWII Fighters P-51D in the livery of Canadian Mustang IV (P-51D-25NA) CF-VPM /KH661/Y2-C (cn 122-39922), which served in 442 'Caribou' (city of Vancouver ) Squadron in the later phases of the war.A Mustang IV in this livery is currently flying with Vintage Wings of Canada out of Gatineau Airport, Ottawa. The repaint with its high reflectivity represents this aircraft.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-5-RE 42-8438 B4-W "Morticians Delight", one of the P-47's flown by Lt Neal Worley of the 387th FS/ 365th FG. Lt. Worley's first two P-47's were called 'Kansas Jack', referring to his Emporia, Kansas upbringing, but he did not feel like naming his third aircraft. His crew came up with 'Morticians Delight', and Worley himself painted the picture on the engine cowling. In 127 missions, he crashed 5 Thunderbolts. His coolness under pressure was immortilized on July 26th, 1944. A 20 mm shell hit his right wheel well during an attack on Sauveur Lendelin, jamming the wheel. He discovered that only the left wheel would lower, but would not retract, so bellying in was no longer an option. He circled for over an hour, burning fuel, and then landed on only the left gear, easing the fighter down. When the right wing dipped just enough, he hit the left brake, and the P-47 spun to a stop. His landing was captured on film, and used in the movie "Fighter Squadron". The aircraft was repaired, and flew missions the very next day, as a testament to the ruggedness of the Thunderbolt. This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D-25-NT 45-11522, which was one of 30 Mustangs delivered to the Royal New Zealand Air Force in 1945. It flew with no 4 (Otago) TAF Squadron in these colors between 1952 and 1955, and was written off after a crash in Ohakea on 10 February 1955 due to an engine seizure. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP3 P-51D Mustang, in the colors of P-51D-25-NT 45-11510. This was one of 30 Mustangs delivered to the Royal New Zealand Air Force in 1945. It flew with no 2 (Wellington) TAF Squadron in these colors between 1952 and 1955, was used for drogue towing with No 42 Sqn until 1957 and was scrapped in 1958. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by A2A.

| USAF P-51D 479th FG/434th FS L2-V "Pin up girl" |

File Description:
P-51D 44-14651 L2-V “Pin Up Girl” was first flown by Lt. Berkeley E. Hollister, 434th Fighter Squadron, 479th Fighter Group, with only the letters on the nose. It was later reassigned to Lt. John C. Donnell Jr., who applied the image to the plane. Unfortunately, he was killed in action on 14th february 1945. I have painted this aircraft earlier, but this time it is based on the excellent paintkit by John Terrell. Shockwave P-51 required!

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-22 42-26086 of the 342nd CG, 33rd FS, Iceland, June 1944. It made a forced landing at Patterson field on 11/6/1944 with Lt Clifford Martin piuloting. It was destroyed in a crash near Keflavik on 20/5/1945. Its pilot, Eugene S. Donell was killed in the crash.
