This folder contains a repaint for the Carenado Milviz F-86, in the colors of #51-2762 "Elsie", the aircraft of Colonel Clay L.Tice Jr, who flew with the 16th FIS/ 51st FIW. It show how the aircraft looked in late 1951, still devoid of tail markings.
Col. Tice flew P-38's with the 49th FG during WW2, and made a landing on a Japanese airfield to refuel one of his squadrons'aircraft on 25 augustus 1945, probably making him the first American soldier to set foot on mainland Japan. Wichita Kansas, Nov. 9, 2011 Cessna Aircraft Company, a Textron Inc. company, joined forces with Veterans Airlift Command to provide free transportation for injured veterans. Cessna has designated this Citation Mustang, named the American Patriot, to fly VAC missions, the first of which occured on Nov. 10, 2011.
