Northrop T-38A Talon - 64th Flying Training Wing Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This package contains two repaints of the MilViz T-38A in liveries associated with the 64th Flying Training Wing of the U.S. Air Force, formerly based at the now closed U.S. Air Force flight training school at Reese Air Force Base, near Lubbock, Texas, USA. Recreated here is 61-0902, which was the first T-38 to arrive at Reese AFB on January 26th, 1963. It replaced the T -33 as the basic trainer to permit qualification of pilots for quicker transition to larger and faster aircraft. The first class to graduate in the T-38 was Class 64-C in 1963. 10902 sat on display at the entrance to the base for many years, and is now on display in Lubbock, TX. Also represented is a T-38 from Reese AFB with a later registration. Reese Air Force Base was closed in 1997. Requires the payware Northrop T-38A Talon from MilViz.

Qantas Consolidated PBY-5 5 paints Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Five repaints for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of PBY-5's operated by Qantas on the 'Double Sunrise Service' between Western Australia and Ceylon between 1943 and 1945. In 1943, Royal Australian Air Force personnel were seconded to operate Catalinas under the banner of Qantas. The plan called for flights between Perth, Western Australia, and RAF Base Koggala in southern Ceylon (now Sri Lanka). The flights were the longest non-stop air route of any airline, over 3,500 nautical miles (6,480 km) across the Indian Ocean. Navigating without the aid of radio, the crews relied solely on rudimentary navigation by compass and stars during the trip. Only Catalinas had that kind of range, so five PBY-5 flying boats were converted to make them suitable for the trip. They received camouflage paint, with a RAAF roundel on the fuselage, but also a civilian registration, since they were officialy operated by Qantas, and they were named after the stars they would be using for navigation: Vega Star (G-AGFL/FP221 - tail code 1) Altair Star (G-AGFM/FP244 - tail code 2) Rigel Star (G-AGID/JX575 - tail code 3) Antares Star (G-AGIE/JX577 - tail code 4) Spica Star (G-AGKS/JX287 - tail code 5) Taking between 27 and 33 hours, with departure timed so that the flight crossed Japanese occupied territory during darkness, the crews would observe the sunrise twice, which led to the service being known as "The Double Sunrise". The flight route flown was along the coast from Perth to Exmouth then setting out towards Cocos (Keeling) Island or Christmas Island (though neither was actually sighted during the flight) and onto Kogalla, a journey of approximately 3,580 nautical miles (6,630 km). After the success of the initial flights, it was decided to run a weekly service, with some services flying over Rottnest Island and then taking a direct line to Kogalla. As part of the Australia-England air route there was a surface component from Kogalla to Karachi that added considerable time to the service. This was later replaced by the Double Sunrise service, with Karachi to England flown by BOAC. Air crews would change in Kogalla taking the next plane in either direction minimising the time taken to complete the journey. Though stripped of all non-essential equipment, including de-icing equipment and insulation, the average takeoff weight was 15,900 to 16,000 kg; this included 9,040 liters of fuel, which gave the Catalina a range of 3,600 nautical miles (6,700 km). The service made 271 crossings, delivered over 4,500 kg of mail and carried 860 passengers, including among them British MP Edith Summerskill and the journalist Keith Murdoch. 'The Secret Order of The Double Sunrise' was an illustrated certificate given to passengers aboard the flying boats of the Australia-England air link, to attest they had been airborne for more than 24 hours. After the war the five modified Catalinas that had flown The Double Sunrise service were scuttled. Repaints by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft

WASP PT-17 Stearman (N59293) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is a repaint only, for the payware Vertigo Studios Stearman Vol.1 set. This repaint depicts the restored Stearman PT-17 N59293, owned/operated by Andrew and Mike Porter, based at Spring Lake, New Jersey. The aircraft was manufactured as USAAF 41-25714 and was used continually from June 1942 until June 1945. During WWII the aircraft had multiple assignments, one of which included Avenger Field in Sweetwater, Texas, home of the WASP (Women's Airforce Service Pilots), where it was based from February 1943 until August 1944. Sold surplus after the war, the aircraft was used as a crop duster in New Mexico all the way until 1981. Starting in 2006, the aircraft was restored to factory-original award-winning condition, and painted in the same markings it wore while stationed at Avenger Field, flying as a tribute to all of the WASP pilots. (In one of the aircraft's other WWII training assignments, Donald Strait flew this aircraft during flight training and would go on to become a double-ace flying P-51's with the 361st Fighter Squadron).

B727-200 Iberia 1970s livery Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
This is the original Iberia livery for their Boeing 727-256/Advanced, for the CaptainSim B727. This particular model, registered EC-CFA entered service in 1973 named "Jerez - Xeres - Sherry", and remained active until 2001. There is only one problem. In CaptainSim's model, both underwings is texturized with the left wing. This means that the registration (EC-CFA) that should appear only under the left wing, is visible too under the right wing, inverted. It's a problem of CaptainSim's model that can't be avoided, except by removing the registration number. I have opted, however, to keep the code so at least from some angle, the model is accurate. I have dedicated around 40 hours of work in building this livery forom scratch and adjusting it to the pixel with true obsesion for detail. If you enjoy it, and you think my work deserves it, you can buy me a coffee in https://ko-fi.com/nachocr :) It will encourage me to keep doing more liveries. Have a good flight!

Spanish Air Force Boeing KC-97G (123-03) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Greetings! In this folder you will find a repaint for FSX Boeing model 367 / C-97 Stratofreighter / Stratotanker. By Roland Berger (testing), Manfred Jahn (models, textures, Monitor gauge), Dan McManus (technical research, VC and panel textures, crew calls) Wayne Tudor (Flight Data Envelope), Ted Wolfgang (soundset). Interior model adapted from Greg Pepper's original FS2002. This repaint has been created and tested for FSX acceleration for the FSX Boeing C-97 V.1 Beta Basepack.

It represents one of the three Stratotankers operated by the Spanish Air Force (Ejrcito del Aire EdA) from 1972 to 1976. In particular, the Boeing KC-97L Stratofreighter (TK.1-3 / 123-03). Although the 3D model is for a KC97G and some small details don't match.Faded USAF titles were visible on the real thing if you look closely. Don't think it is a mistake of mine!

These aircraft used to fly using "MAMBO" as their callsign out of Torrejn airbase LETO.I hope you enjoy it! Buenos vuelos y no le busques tres pies....

Automobile Association (1959 and 1960) de Havilland DH.89A Dragon Rapide (G-AHKV) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Aircraft repaint for Dave Garwood's de Havilland DH.89A Dragon Rapide Version 4 only. This is my first ever aircraft repaint. Compatibile with Microsoft Flight Simulator X and Lockheed Martin Prepar3D only.

Built in 1944 as NR693, G-AHKV (c/n 6792) served with British European Airways from 1946. By 1954 Sky Neon Aviation were flying the aircraft at night over London with underwing neon advertising signs. Registered to the Automobile Association in 1957, G-AHKV became the most famous of all their aircraft. Flown by former RAF Mosquito pilot Bill Lewis, she was used as a traffic spotter, monitoring congestion and incidents from the air. The prototype of the DH.89A Mk 6 conversion, G-AHKV had sophisticated electrical and navigation equipment on board. She was also an air ambulance, repatriating AA members who had suffered accidents or illness in Europe and dropping supplies to snowbound villages in Scotland. Sold by the AA in 1963, she was burnt at Birmingham Airport in 1969. Two variants of the livery are included.

Iris F-16D VFC-12 'Saints' CAG Repaint Textures Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
These repaint textures are for the IRIS F-16D and depict US Navy VFC-13 'Saints' CAG #13 aircraft. I know the real CAG jet is a "C" model, but I figured the IRIS "D" jet would look good in black as well! I also added a BUNCH of 'custom' items to the jet to make it look more realistic. I added a BUNCH of little extras to this repaint to make it look more realistic. For example, I upgraded the wingtip missile rails for the CLEAN model, custom painted the GE engine nozzle to look like the "Pratt & Whitney" on the real jet, modified the weapons texture file so that the AIM-9's appear all-blue like they do on the real jet, plus the GBU's and LGB's will be "dummy/inert blue" as well. I also customized the pilot textures and added a mirrored/reflective helmet visor. Plus, since the VFC-13 pilots wear either Desert Tan or OD Green flight suits, I made textures for both and you can choose your preference.
