This folder contains a repaint for the A2A Wings of Power III P-47D Thunderbolt, representing P-47D-22-RE 42-26386 D5-O "Sally Flat Foot III", the assigned aircraft of Lt William Ward of the 386th FS/ 365th FG. The first 365th FG pilot to report for duty, Bill Ward also had the distinction of leading the group on its last combat mission, a patrol flight on 8 May 1945. He scored to kills over Me109's, one marked with the German cross below the cockpit, scored on 22 june 1944, and another later in 1944, but that never made it into the 365th history books, hence the question mark. All lt Ward's Thunderbolts were called Sally Flat Foot, a nickname for his wife Sally. The third one also had a picture of a bird on the nose he referred to as 'the worry bird'. | Boeing B-17G 91st BG (OR-K) "Shirley Jean" |

This folder contains a repaint for the A2A WoP2 B-17G in the colors of B-17 42-107040 Shirley Jean, assigned to the 91st BG in Bassingbourn, UK. It which was a B-17G and was named after the crew chief's two daughters. The nose art was done by Tony Starcer and was taken from Esquire's Vargas Girl Calendar, August 1943. she flew 7 combat sorties with the 324th as DF-D, was transferred to the 323rd on 1 april as OR-K, then came back to the 324th in the latter part of August 1944. This paint shows her when she was flying with the 323rd BS. Shirley Jean survived the war with the 91st with a total of 98 missions during 18 months of combat. Her last mission was on March 8, 1945 which was approximately six weeks before the 91st Group's last mission.

File Description:
This is a repaint of the F-27-500 in Air Zaire colors. The freeware FSX Native with VC F-27-500 by Bjorn Kesten is needed for this repaint. It was converted from Mike Stone's and Tom Gibson's models. The textures are 32bit DDS. It was tested on FSX-SE, but should work on FSX & P3Dv3.
Air Zaire operated 2 F-27-400s (leased) and 8 F-27-600s (purchased). In 1983 they put in an order to Fokker for 4 F-27-500s. However the aircraft were never delivered. To avoid collapse, due to financial problems and rising expenses, Air Zaire's fleet was reduced in 1984. One B-737-298C, and two F.27-600s were withdrawn, while the new Fokker F-27-500 order was cancelled.
This repaint is of one of the Fokker F-27-500s which were ordered by Air Zaire, but never delivered. It was painted in Air Zaire's scheme, with Dutch registration.

| P-51D 52nd FG QP-U "Hey Rube! IV" |

File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the A2A/Shockwave World War II Fighters P-51D Mustang, representing 44-14227 "Hey Rube! IV", which flew with the 2nd FS/ 52nd FG from Madna, Italy in july 1944, with Captain Daniel Zoerb as its assigned pilot. Zoerb played in a carnival band before the war, and the expression "Hey Rube!" was used to indicate that trouble was about to break out. This aircraft ended up in Rumania. During an escort mission on 8 september 1944, to pick up some American POW's with a B17, Capt Zoerb lost power over Bucharest airfield and made a very hard landing, buckling the wings. He stayed overnight with the Rumanian pilots and was treated to a real feast: Sheep's head soup! The next day, he flew back in a B17. He finished his combat tour a major with seven kills and as CO of the squadron.
Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by John Terrell. It should work in both FSX and FS9.

This folder contains a repaint for the P-51B/C model for FSX by Warbirdsim. It shows 'Old 7', 43-7061, which was the pride and joy of the 2nd FS/52nd FG. It flew over 125 operational missions, amassing 778 flying hours and shot down at least 8 enemy aircraft, without suffering a single mechanical failure. It was lovingly maintained at first by S/Sgt Vincent Reagan, and later by S/Sgts James Lynes and C.G. Jones. By december 1944, it was the oldest aircraft in the 2nd FS, and it remained so. The officers and men of the 2nd FS were so proud of 'Old 7' that they tried to have her sent to the US for a warbond tour, but the Air Force was not interested. During its long career, it served as the regular mount for Capt. Arthur Johnston (who named it Marie and flew it as QP-M), Capt. William DeForest (when it was changed to Myrtle and QP-7) and Lt. Thomas Hoover, as well as several other pilots. Repaint by JanKees Blom, based on the warbirdsim paintkit.

This folder contains a repaint for the DeHavilland DH98 Mosquito by Dave Garwood, in the colors of W4072 GB-D, a B Mk.IV of 105 squadron. On 25 june 1942, while being loaned to 139 squadron, it was being flown by Flt Lt Bagguley on a night attack on Stade aerodrome near Hamburg. He attacked the town of Dorum, near Bremerhaven. On leaving the target, instead of closing the bombdoors, he accidenatly lowered the flaps. These were torn away due to the speed of over 380 mph, and on arrival back at Horsham St Faith, W4072 overshot the runway, with the right undercarriage collapsing in a ditch. W4072 was delivered to 105 sqn on 27 februari 1942, and took part in the first bomb raid carried out by Mosquito's, when sqn ldr Oekeshott took it to Cologne on 31 May 1942. After the prang in june, W4072 was repaired and flew more missions with 105 sqn. Damaged again in March 1943, she passed to 627 sqn (AZ-Q), but crashed in the North Sea returning from a raid on Frankfurt on 8 january 1944. This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.XIV by Real Air. It shows Spitfire Mk.XIV RM656 DL-F, which was the aircraft that Captain Jean Maridor, of the Free French Air Force, was flying on the 3rd of August 1944, when he was killed while destroying a V1. Jean Maridor was born in Le Havre, France on the 24 November, 1920. He became interested in flying at a young age. He stopped his studies to focus of this new interest. Maridor began to take many courses in flying. He obtained his pilot's licence at 16, making him the youngest pilot in France. In 1939, he joined the French Air Force and received his pilot's wings in september 1939, continiuing his training on the Dewoitine D520. He joined a squadron just two days before the French Surrender, only to receive the order to burn his aircraft. After the French surrender, Maridor left to go to England with many other French pilots, where he joined the R.A.F. After training, he began flying with the 615 Squadron on Hurricanes. He scored his first kill on the 14th of October 1941. In february 1942, he transferrd to 91 squadron, flying Spitfires, where he scored a further 8 kills, one of which was Lt Paul Galland, the brother of Adolf Galland, in october 1942.
From june 1944, 91 squadron flew the Spitfire mk XIV and specialised in shooting down the V1's that the Germans started sending over to the UK. Capt Maridor was succesful at this too, shooting down 6 of the Doodlebugs before his final flight on the 3rd of August 1944.
On this day, Maridor intercepted a Doodlebug over Rolvenden around 12:33. Flying towards the bomb, he shot at it at 12:39. Although he hit it, the bomb was only damaged not destroyed. On his second attack, he saw the bomb was heading for Benenden School, which at the time was being used as a military hospital. Knowing that hundreds of lives would be lost if the bomb was to hit, Maridor launched a final attack at 12.43. He approached to less than 50 metres to ensure he would not miss a second time. The Doodlebug exploded this time, but the wing of his plane was caught in the explosion and ripped from the body. The plane crashed beside the lake on the school grounds, killing Maridor just 8 days before his wedding. His fiancée has been quoted as saying he would not have hesitated in his attack on the bomb. He knew that many lives would have been lost otherwise.
