Thanks to Andrew Spring of www.p166.com!! The Piaggio P-180 Avanti is a Luxury Jetprop. Its design is the result of a "thinking outside the box" project philosophy. It means that building techniques are standard while aerodynamics are unique for it's kind. It features a three lifting surface design, laminar flow wing and twin pusher turboprop configuration. Passenger comfort features the possiiblity of standing in feet inside the plane, low noise due to pusher propellers and "Pininfarina" designed arrangement. Performances are unique too, cruising at 395 KTAS (260 KIAS) at 28000 ft, a jet-like speed, being the P-180 a twin turboprop. The result is a 40% reduced operational cost respect to a jet of similar size, and 30% less respect to a similar size turboprop, all at same price of a small Jet. This model is 804 Kbs with c.a. 19000 polygons in c.a.170 assemblies. The Piaggio P-180 is a high-speed high-efficiency turboprop aircraft. Capable of speeds up to 395 KTAS (or M0.68) up to its service ceiling of 41000ft. This performance is achieved by extreme aerodynamic optimization instead of sheer power. The end result is an aircraft that burns 40% less fuel than the average jet of comparable size, while flying at the same speed range, or 30% less than an equivalent size turboprop, as it flies much faster. The pusher propellers on the wings mounted much backwards thanks to the forward wing set make it a comfortable and quiet ride for the passengers, that also enjoy a very spacious cabin for an aircraft of this size.

| Piaggio P-149D FS-X DX9 Edition |

File Description:
This is a re-edition of the Piaggio P-149D with FS-X retail\SP1\2\Accel DX9 compatibility (DX10 users need to convert textures). The original model for FS-2004 is MN_P149D.zip + P149_FIX.zip available on AVSIM & www.mariopilot.6x.to. P_149_fix.zip is already included in this FS-X update.
The Piaggio P-149 is a trainer-laison aircraft. It first flew in June 19th, 1953. I'ts a development of the P-148 model, with increased seat cpacity, tricycle retractable landing gear and a more powerful engine, featuring a three-bladed constant speed propeller. It was mainly used by German Luftwaffe as a training aircraft, that oredred 75 examples in 1955. Later in 1957 another 190 were manufactured under licence by Focke-Wulf. The D version is the one employed by Luftwaffe, while later some few P-149CH variants were used by Swissair as flying schools, and a few P-149U variants, with a new tailplane section to allow more rotation clearance on takeoff were used by Ouganda's Air Force. The P-149 Has a seating capacity of 4 with some examples being certified for 5 (both cases including pilot) and it's fully aerobatic, having G-limits set at +7\-4.5. After training activities ceased with Luftwaffe, several are still flying under civilian operators. This gMAX model features completely 3-D virtual cocpkit and cabin with advanced night lighting and custom special effects, plus a sound package recorded from the real thing. Simulates all systems onboard the real aircraft, coming with panel instructions. Flight Dynamics are built using only real data based on the 1% spreadsheet plus lots of manual tweaking for fine tuning. Read Notes before flying please... Enjoy!

Heinkel P-1079, a new twin-jet fighter project of the Heinkel Aircraft Construction Corp. was designed in five variations, all under the same designation.
The first of these advanced designs, the Heinkel P-1078A was basically developed as a two-seated nightfighter. The pilot and the gunner/navigator were sitting in tandem position. The wings were swept back 35 degrees, mounted to mid-fuselage. The tail had a V-shaped rudder. The armament were three Rheinmetall-Borsig MK 108 30mm cannons in the nose and 24 R4-M 'Orkan' high explosive rockets on two racks mounted under the wings. Another feature of armament was the so-called 'schraege musik' with four upward-firing 20 mm Mauser MG 151/20 autocannons, mounted in the back of the aircraft. Therefore, the nightfighter had to approach and attack bombers from below, guided into position by commands from the navigator.
The aircraft should be equipped with the new FUG 228 radar unit. This sophisticated radar would have empowered the aircraft with an almost all-weather ability.
The engines were located in the wing roots. This version should be fitted with two Junkers Jumo 004D turbojet engines with two-stage fuel injector, each with 8.8 kN of power.
The Max. speed was about Mach 0.89 = 950kph, the range about 1079.22nm = 1241.9 sm = 2000 km and the max. Service Ceiling up to 51,000 ft = 15,545m
