File Description: A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of PBY-5 (Bu08450) NZ4012 XX-N 'The Naughty Nine" of the RNZAF, as it looked while flying with FltLt Guy Rogers and crew from the Solomon Islands in 1945 with 6 Flying Boat Squadron. Following Japan's entry into the war in December 1941, the RNZAF had to switch from primarily training pilots to Europe into a combat force. No. 6 Squadron RNZAF was formed as an army co-operation unit at Milson in February 1942 flying Vickers Vildebeest and Hawker Hind aircraft. At the same time, No. 5 Squadron RNZAF moved to Fiji with Short Singapores and Vickers Vildebeest and Vincent biplanes. Modern maritime patrol flying boats (and more Hudson light bombers) were requested under Lend Lease and when the first Consolidated Catalinas arrived a detachment of men from No. 5 Squadron was assigned to convert to these types as No. 6 Squadron. Before the squadron was officially formed these men successfully completed their first air-sea rescue of a downed US aircrew. From May 1943 No. 6 squadron undertook action against the Japanese. The Squadron also conducted search and rescue missions for allied aircrew and seamen, and undertook many open sea rescues. XX-N arrived in Fiji on 20 june 1943. On February 18, 1944 it took off on a dumbo rescue mission to north Buka Island and landed to rescue two crew members and pick up a dead body from the crash of B-25, and successfully returned them to Halavo. On 26 May 1945, it stalled on landing at Hobsonville and was towed to its mooring by a crash boat. The induced damage resulted in the aircraft being written off charge on 18 June 1945. Consolidated PBY-5 Dutch Naval Air Service Y-45

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX, representing Y-45 of the Royal Dutch Naval Air Force (MLD). On 21 february 1942, Y-45 rescued 27 people from a life boat of the SS "Sloet van Beele". The rescued sailors told that was another life boat containing 80 people, so after dropping off its first load, the Y-45, flown by Mans Dorre, took off again. After searching for hours, the life boat was found, containing 79 sailors. All were stowed on board the PBY, and returned to safety, although some of them later died of exhaustion. In all, 230 people were saved that day, from the "Sloet van Beele" and the destroyer "van Nes". The Y-45 later escaped to Australia, where it served for most of the war, after which it was scrapped. Consolidated PBY-5 TEAL ZK-AMP

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by Aerosoft. The Royal New Zealand Air Force had 56 Catalina's in all between 1943 and 1953. They were registered NZ4001-4056 inclusive and included 22 PBY-5s (mostly MklVAs) with the remainder being PB2B-1 s. All were flying boats, with no amphibian models being taken on charge.After the war only half a dozen or so of the best aircraft were maintained in service with No 5 Sqn (squadron code became KN-) and fitted with the latest search radar which had a large radome behind the cockpit. The remainder were put into storage. Two PB2B-ls were loaned to Tasman Empire Airways (TEAL) for short periods after the war, one (which became ZK-AMI) as a crew trainer, the other (ZK-AMP, former NZ4036) to survey a flying boat route from Fiji to Tahiti, later to become known as "The Coral Route" and used by TEAL's Solent flying boats. These two aircraft were eventually returned to the RNZAF before being scrapped.

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft OV-10 Bronco for FSX. It represents one of the aircraft formerly operated by NASA, N636NA. This aircraft was the first production Bronco, BuNo 155390, and formerly participated in acoustic research. It now sits at NASA Langley as a spare parts airframe to help keep N524NA flying. De Havilland Canada DHC-6 Twin Otter (VH-KZP) Aeropelican

File Description: This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended, in the colors of VH-KZP (c/n 758), which was ordered new by Aeropelican in 1981. It was grounded in 2001 when Ansett, Aereopelican's holding company went bankrupt, It continued flying in the basic colors portrayed in this paint until 2003, when it was sold to Abu Dhabi to be used for spares. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft.

File Description: This folder contains three repaints for the Aerosoft Twin Otter Extended, in the new colors of C-GNDO (c/n 430), based in Kuujjuarapik (CYVP). The aircraft has been flying with Air Inuit since 2001, and recently acquired a new paintscheme, which is depicted in this repaint. I have included repaints for the wheels, tundra wheels and ski version. Please make sure you install the paints in their right locations. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by Aerosoft.
