RAF Barkston Heath - 1944 Download

File Description:
At the time of its construction, RAF Barkston Heath in common with a number of other airfields in the Grantham area had been planned for the RAF's No. 7 Group. In late 1943, Barkston Heath was made available to the United States Army Air Forces Ninth Air Force and designated as USAAF station 483. It was earmarked for basing troop carrier units scheduled to be transferred from Sicily to participate in the forthcoming cross-Channel invasion, Operation "Overlord" American 61 TCG aircraft based at Barkston Heath carried British paratroops on the ill-fated operation Market Garden. The USAAF returned control of the airfield to the Air Ministry in June 1945 when the war in Europe ended. Barkston Heath was used by No 256 Maintenance Unit and No 2 RAF Regiment. Beginning in May 1948., RAF Barkston Heath has the Naval and Army Elements of No. 3 Flying Training School (3 FTS) which, for a period between approximately 1995-2010 operated the Slingsby T67M260 Firefly two-seat trainer. The school now operates the Grob Tutor T1. A secondary role of RAF Barkston Heath is as a Relief Landing Ground for the flying training activities at RAF Cranwell. Source: Wikipedia

RAF Scorton Download

File Description:
RAF Scorton was opened in October 1939 as part of 13 Group Fighter Command and a satellite station of RAF Catterick. It was located near the village of Scorton in North Yorkshire. It was used by the Royal Air Force, the Royal Canadian Air Force, and the United States Army Air Forces Ninth Air Force during the war. The location was chosen for its flat terrain and its situation close to the now disbanded Eryholme-Richmond branch line that had a sub branch line to Catterick Garrison and RAF Catterick. The famous No. 56 Squadron RAF flew Spitfires from Scorton during the Second World War. Also the USAAF 422d and 425th Night Fighter Squadrons were stationed at Scorton flying the Northrup P-61 "Black Widow" fighter. The Aerodrome closed in 1945 and most of the concreted areas have been extensively quarried away for sand and gravel extraction. Most of what was the airfield is now under a lake or a quarry. There are a few military pre-fab buildings remaining in the area – they were dismantled after the war and moved to local farms to be used as agricultural buildings. Source:Wikipedia

RAF Molesworth Download

File Description:
At the start of World War II the Air Ministry selected the area as the site for what would become RAF Molesworth. The base was built in 1940 and 1941. The first unit, Royal Australian Air Force 460 Squadron was formed at the base on November 15, 1941 with Vickers Wellington IVs. 460 Squadron departed the field on January 4, 1942. RAF Bomber Command 159 squadron moved in shortly afterwards, however this unit did not remain long, moving to the Middle East on January 12. Molesworth was one of the early Eighth Air Force stations assigned to the United States Army Air Force (USAAF). In February 1942, General Ira Eaker and four US staff members inspected Molesworth for possible American use, and during 1942 the facility was improved to Class A airfield standard, with all of its runways extended to American specifications for heavy 4-engined bombers. The main runway was lengthened to 2,000 yards and the number of hardstands increased to fifty. It was given USAAF designation as Station 107. From 16 September 1943 – 18 June 1945, Molesworth served as headquarters for the 41st Combat Bombardment Wing of the 1st Bomb Division.

Just Flight DC-10-30F TAB cargo CP-2555 Download

File Description:
TAB cargo (Transportes Aereos Bolivianos) is a cargo airline that currenty has an MD-10-30F that usually make international routes from the airports of SLLP, SLCB, SLVR to KMIA and SPJC mainly, and a Hercules C-130 that covers National routes mainly to airports with low equipment and preparation in Bolivia. The DC-10-30F CP-2555 (the one in the photo) was retired not long ago due to its useful age, it flew approximately 45-50 years from his first operator, which if I'm not wrong was Mexicana de Aviacion. It should be noted that this DC-10-30F and C-130 made a special operation helping to transport wild lions from caged circuses and victims of animal abuse for a long time in Bolivia (there were 25 lions), and took them to the United States for their respective release. This operation came out as a documentary called "Ark of the Lions (Arca de leones)" documentary that was even recognized and awarded, even came out on documentary channels known as National Geographic. Without a doubt this plane had a lot of history, enjoy it.

Greenbrier Aviation, Beechcraft 1900D Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Greenbrier Virtual Aviation is a small virtual airline that until now has only specialized in general aviation transportation. Recently they launch their scheduled service flights to near by regional airports. This file contains two separate texture folders for the all aluminum, and the white and aluminum liveries. You must own a copy of the PMDG B1900D payware to use these textures. The 1900 was made for FS9, but I use it with FSX after following PMDG's convertion instructions on their website. I've provided the FSX aircraft.cfg entries here, but you will have to change a few lines to use it in FS9. I've also replaced up Captain Kirk and Mr. Spock with a couple of down to earth looking pilots.

Jet Airways "JetLite Livery" Boeing 737-96NER/WL (VT-JLJ) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
PMDG 737-800/900 needed FSX/P3D (P3D not tested however). VT-JLJ is an interesting aircraft. Originally made in 2008, this Boeing 737-96NER/W was leased from Gecas to Jet Airways for their mainline operations. Soon, 9W repainted the aircraft into the low cost "JetLite" livery and had JLJ fly regional routes for years. Eventually in 2014, the airline once again brought JLJ into mainline service and removed the JetLite decals and replaced them for the Jet Airways text logo. The aircraft is a "hybrid" in that it has a JetLite livery and Jet Airways decals. I did my best to include as many details as possible including: cockpit textures/decals, tail details, wing registrations, independent fuse panel wearing, and many more! Expect the high level of detail Flightsimfx is known for!

RAF Attlebridge - Norwich, Norfolk, England Download

File Description:
RAF Attlebridge is a former Royal Air Force station located near Attlebridge and 8 miles (13 km) northwest of Norwich, Norfolk, England. RAF Attlebridge was an early wartime station, laid out for use by No. 2 Group RAF light bombers, and was completed in August 1942. The airfield was used by No. 88 Squadron RAF from August 1941 to September 1942 using Bristol Blenheim IVs and Douglas Bostons. The Station had runways of 1,220, 1,120 and 1,080 yards length but, when the base was earmarked for USAAF use, these were extended and the airfield was enlarged to meet heavy bomber requirements. The main E-W runway was increased to 2,000 yards and the others to 1,400 yards each. The perimeter track was also extended and the number of hardstands was increased to fifty. In enlarging the airfield, several small, country roads were closed in the parish of Weston Longville, in which the larger part of the airfield was sited. RAF Attlebridge was assigned to the United States Army Air Forces (USAAF) Eighth Air Force's 2nd Bomb Wing on 30 September 1942. It was given USAAF designation Station 120.
Third party add-on scenery will be required - see readme for details.
