MTPP - Toussaint Louverture International Airport / Port-au-Prince, Haiti Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
MTPP - Toussaint Louverture International Airport / Port-au-Prince, Haiti This airport update was made with the latest version of ADE (Airport Design Editor) and made for FSX as a replacement for the stock (default) airport. I found that most stock airports in FSX lack a decent amount of character and realism and this area in particular was dreadful! The stock airport was rather inaccurate. I've made several additions to the airport which are listed below. All these enchancements are as close to the real airport as I can get with stock library objects. I've used satellite images, terminal photos and maps throughout the whole process so building locations are as accurate as possible. Happy landings in Haiti! Features: *Expanded parking apron *Seperate parking aprons for GA traffic *Main terminal building with its 3 jetways *Cargo area *Hangars and other airport buildings added *Airport vehicles and objects throughout the airport *Corrected runway length and numbering *Corrected taxiway signs *Birds near the airport *More ships and smaller fishing vessels added to the Port-au-Prince bay *Fishing marina added in the bay *Main road in front of airport added with static vehicles *Parking lots with static vehicles *Vegetation in front of airport

Marchwood Sea Mounting Centre & Power Station Download

File Description:
Marchwood Sea Mounting Centre & Power Station Scenery. Had a few hours over the Christmas period to have a go at FSX secenery design. Know it's not perfect but using a few free programs, knocked up a Marchwood scene to try and improve the look of VFR Photographic Scenery in the area. The programs I used as follows:- Google Earth Pro (to take overhead screen shots of area) ModelconverterX (to import Sketchup .skp file and convert to BGL Sketchup Make (to model buildings and export .skp to .dae files) Microsoft Paint (save copy of screen shot) GIMP2 (to enhance image & cut / blend image to import to Sketchup) My thanks to the people who provide these tools especially Arno and the people behind MCX. The ships I converted from ones provided on the free Sketchup 3D Warehouse, my thanks to them. Install: Copy the Final Marchwood & MW Power Station Folders to your FSX Addon scenery folder. Do that for the HMS Trio & Husband Shore Folders also if you think it may improve the scenery. It did using my set up. Make sure you have the fx_SmokeStack2.fx effect in your Effects folder. If not copy the file into the folder. Install all as normal using the FSX Add Scenery facility. Provided as freeware. Not to be distributed by anyone for gain. Hope you like the scenery and hope it dosent affect frame rates too much. ijm1959... ([email protected])

Middle East Carrier Operations (MECOPS) Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:

This scenery has been developed for FSX Flight Simulator SP1 or SP2. It
has also been tested with Microsoft Acceleration , but compatibility is not
guaranteed by the author.
The scenery includes: Two carrier groups CVN68 and CVN69, ( carrier models from Javier Fernandez ), two AI KC-135 tanker aircraft, AI F-18A aircraft approaching the carrier, Navy destroyer and a Navy Cruiser as escort ships for the carrier, a number of oil platforms and the ARS4 radar gauge which displays air targets and boat targets.
The ARS4 radar gauge provides also a auto landing function for the carrier and a auto tracking function for aircraft in order to support a A2A re-fueling. The scenery package includes as well the program Arrcab, developed by Richard Hogan, and the RCBCO gauge developed by Rob Barendregt. Arrcab or RCBCO are required to support a catapult start from a carrier and the cable arrestor function for a carrier landing.
This is not a load and fly package. Please take your time to read the included documentation for the ARS4 gauge and the MECOPS scenery carefully. Do not skip chapters because you may think, they are not important for you.
Do not start the installation of the scenery before you have finished the reading of the documents.
For copyrights and credits please look at the documentation for this scenery.

Global 7000 for "iris_easter_eggs_2013_fsx" Download

File Description:
Repaint for "iris_easter_eggs_2013_fsx" by "IRIS Flight Simulation Software" "Bombardier's Global 7000 and the Global 8000 were launched together at NBAA in October 2010 as derivatives of the Global 6000 program. The aircraft completed its first flight Nov. 4, 2016, marking the start of a rigorous flight-testing program. Entry-into-service of the large jet was scheduled in the second half of 2018. The Global 7000 has a four-zone cabin and will carry up to 12 passengers. It features 14 windows on each side of the fuselage - One more than the legacy Global Express and one less than the 6000. The Global 7000 also features the high swept supercritical wing with winglets and a high swept T-tail. As far as performance, the Global 7000 is powered by GE Aviation Passport engines and has a range of 7,400 nm and a top speed of 530 knots. The two GE Passport engines are side mounted at the rear of the aircraft. The Global 7000, which was priced at about $73 million is indeed large. The cabin (not including the baggage compartment) is 54 feet, seven inches long; six feet, three inches tall; and eight feet, two inches wide. Aft of the galley, the passenger area is divided into four distinct living areas. Depending on the layout, they can include a seating area, a dining or meeting area, a cinema room, and a bedroom. In April 2018, the Global 7000 and its cabin won a Red Dot in the Ships, Trains and Planes category of this year’s Red Dot Design Award, ainternational competition conducted annually since 1955 by Design Zentrum Nordrhein Westfalen in Essen, Germany. As judging criteria, the 39-member jury looked at each product’s levels of innovation, functionality, formal quality, ergonomics, and durability."

US Navy Collection, with Flyable UAV Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Unfortunately the Navy has cancelled or scaled down most fleet week celebrations around the nation. With this collection, you can stage your own!
Among the latest and hottest additions to the US Navy arsenal is the LCS. Two versions have been developed, the trimaran corvette by General Dynamics and Lockheed Martin's version, which promise to give a double black eye to Al Qaida, Somali pirates, or anyone else that opposes Freedom and Independence. Also are included in this package are the Arleigh-Burke class destroyer USS Fitzgerald, the Ticonderoga class cruiser Lake Champlain and two Oliver-Perry class frigates, FFG-58 Samuel B Roberts and FFG-60 Rodney M Davis. The centerpiece of the fleet is LHD-2 USS Essex and thanks to Arno's fantastic ModelConverterX, Essex is able to feature a highly detailed deck packed with 7 F-35b JSF, 6 MV-22 Osprey, 5 CH-53 and 2 Seahawks. Finally, SSN775 Texas, as part of the collection is available for patrol. All ships have landable decks, night lights and animation effects. Texas as a submarine is more of a boat, I believe, but it has navigation lights and wake effects.

I have also included another hot Navy addition, the RQ-8 fire Scout. There are two versions, a static RQ-8b lashed to the deck of Independence and an RQ-8c with the Flir Brite Star electro/optical turret which I have made flyable, largely for absence of deck space to place it as static.

Make no mistake that the Essex model is very resource intensive, with all it's polygons and what have you. The night lighting is stunning (imo) but seems to have an even heavier effect, you've been warned..

INS Vikramaditya Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
INS Vikramaditya was commisioned into the Soviet Navy as Baku in 1988. It is the third and final remaining Kiev class carrier, the other two being Admiral Kuznetsov and Lioning. Like Lioning, Vikramaditya was purchased from Russia but that is pretty much where the similarity ends. The Chinese quietly bought Varyag under the guise that it would be converted into another floating hotel or casino as had been done several times in the past; then, almost to everyones surprise, they re-built and announced they had an aircraft carrier. India contracted with Russia to complete the refit which began an epic saga of international proportions that encompassed espionage, honey traps and logarithmically expanding budgets. Originally promised for 2008, the latest quotes expect delivery in October/November 2013. I think the carrier looks very sporty or yacht-like, with the ski-jump bow and the oversized island which has been criticized for being too far into the middle of the deck; it is said to be India's final non-indigenous warship and future flagship to serve for the next 20 to 30 years. This model is intended for placement with AI Carriers, by Lamont Clark. It has animated radars, working cables, catapults and deck lights. The IFLOS is calibrated, but the catapults will only activate if the airplane deploys a launch bar. The Vikramaditya uses retractable chocks to allow aircraft to develop full thrust, but I could not find a way to lock an aircraft to represent the STOBAR configuration without using catapults. I did not define the elevators because they do not operate and are in the middle of the deck. There are two ships included for escort, the INS Talwar and a Russian Fregat II class ASW destroyer. They have hard decks and night lighting, animated radars, funnel smoke, etc.
