Douglas C-47B-30-DK, (c/n 32948) Delivered to RAF under the 'Lend/Lease' scheme as KN472 on 28 March 1945. To South African Air Force as 6868. Used as VIP transport and named 'Rustig'. Converted to C-47TP in 1992. To Dodson Aviation in 1998 and as N194RD. To Samaritan's Purse on 29 Aug 2001 as N467SF. Still active.

File Description:
c/n 280 V.781D. Delivered to the SAAF, 28 Squadron on 16 June 1958 carrying a large consignment of airframe spare parts. A lot of these parts were never used and were discovered in a stockists inventory in the UK in 2010 and are now being used to restore museum Viscounts around the world. On 1 February 1968 to 21 Squadron and then to 44 Squadron on 28 October 1983 where it continued opearation as a VIP transport aircraft until withdrawn from use in September 1991. It was sold in September 1991 to Bazair and exported as 9Q-CWL. It crashed on 6 June 1997, killing all 23 on board in the DRC. These are texture files only.
Prior installation of Jens B Kirstensen's FSX Vickers Viscount package (viscount_10x) is required.

| Martin's Air Charter "1964" Douglas C-54B |

On 12 June 1962 the four years young Dutch charter company Martin's Air Charter (MAC), proud owner of two de Havilland DH-104 Dove and two Douglas C-47 ("DC-3") aircraft, welcomed at its Amsterdam homebase the flagship of the fleet: the Douglas C-54B ("DC-4") PH-MAE. Until that moment the largest aircraft of MAC, whose main activities were on the IT-charters and ad-hoc cargo transport, were C-47 PH-MAA which was limited to the transport of max. 32 passengers and C-47 PH-MAB which had a large freight door and could transport a maximum of 3 tons payload. C-54B PH-MAE was a huge improvement since it could transport 70 passengers or 7 tons payload. The other great advantage being it range (medium distance). It soon became a very popular aircraft. With the arrival of the larger Douglas DC-6A combiplane PH-MAM in 1966, the days of PH-MAE with MAC were numbered. The C-54B was sold to the German operator Allgemeine Lufttransport All-Air. Around the same time Martin's Air Charter had changed its name into Martinair Holland and as such entered the turboprop and jet age. These are textures only. You will need Jens B. Kristensen's FS2X Douglas DC-4 & C-54 (DC4_V30X.ZIP). Repaint by Maarten Brouwer.

FSX Douglas C-117D repaint textures for Westhoven Air Transit N7379W, for the freeware Manfred Jahn and team Douglas C-117D (c117d_v1_beta.zip), which you must have previously installed in FSX. Repainted using Mr. Jahn's Photoshop paint kit templates converted to bitmap and dds for compatibility with freeware paint programs. Saved in 2048x2048 32bit. Also includes engine exhaust smoke coordinates which you can add to your "aircraft.cfg" if you wish. Screenshots enclosed. Easy installation. Repaint by Tom Tiedman.
