| 63 AI Ships and AI Ship Traffic for South America and Europe V1 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Plenty of good designers have created beautiful navy ships and aircraft carriers for FSX, but only few have created container ships, tankers, off-shore supply ships, tugs, or bulk carriers and put them to sail around the globe in FSX. With this package I intend to fill a part of this gap and to bring more life to the mostly empty oceans in FSX by providing AI ships and AI traffic files with a fleet of modern merchant ships travelling through some of the most heavily trafficked sea routes in the world. The pack contains 63 AI ships based on more than 35 different GMAX models. Around one third are equipped with landable helicopter decks. Most ships have simple animations like rotating radars and most have custom light, smoke and wake effects. The pack also contains traffic files for the east coast of South America and the coasts of North West Europe: In South America ships visit Belem, Sao Louis, Natal, Recife, Salvador, Macae, Rio de Janeiro, Santos, Florianopolis, Pelotas, Porto Alegre, Montevideo, Buenos Aires and Puerto Madryn. In Europe ships visit Gibraltar, Algeciras, Lissabon, Bordeaux, La Rochelle, Saint Nazaire, Brest, Le Havre, Antwerp, Rotterdam, Amsterdam, Thamesport, Felixstowe, Bremerhaven, Hamburg, Esbjerg, Oslo, Aarhus, Copenhagen and St.Petersburg. For map of coverage, routes and ship details see the PDF manual.

| RAF Dunholme Lodge - Lincolnshire, England **UPDATE** |
|
File Description:
This is an-update to correct the location of the Tower, if you have installed my version uploaded on the 15 or 23 Oct 15
RAF Dunholme Lodge was a Royal Air Force station located between the parishes of Welton and Dunholme in Lincolnshire, England.
The grass airfield was first used by the Royal Air Force during 1941 and 1942 for use by Handley Page Hampden aircraft from nearby RAF Scampton, and was officially opened as a RAF Station in September 1942 as part of RAF Bomber Command with the building of three hard runways.
The main occupier of the station was 44 Squadron, with the Avro Lancaster four-engined heavy bomber, which moved in from RAF Waddington in May 1943 and stayed until it moved to RAF Spilsby in September 1944.
In November 1944 flying operations ceased due the proximity of other stations which did not allow night flying. At the end of the war 120 Lancaster's had been lost on operations from Dunholme Lodge.
From 1948 the site was host to motorcycle and car racing until 1959 when the base was reopened as an active RAF station when it became an active Bloodhound surface-to-air missile station with 141 Squadron. The Squadron in 1964 and the station finally closed in 1964. Source: Wikipedia.

| Supermarine Spitfire IX ML214 126 Sqn 5J-K |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire IXc ML214 5J-K as flown by Squadron Leader Ioannis Agorastos "John" Plagis of RAF 126 (Persian Gulf) Squadron, based in RAF Culmhead, may 1944. S/L Plagis was born in Rhodesia of Greek parents and was officially listed as a Greek pilot with the RAF. He enlisted in october 1940, and was trained in the UK before being sent to the Mediterranean. He flew a Spitfire off HMS Eagle to Malta, where he soon became the first Spitfire ace with 249 squadron. His final score on Malta was 10, keeping a vow he made when a friend of his was shot down by the Germans. He returned to the UK in august 1942 and spent a year as an instructor. He returned to active duty in september 1943 as CO of 64 squadron, and joined No 126 squadron in january 1944. He picked ML214 as his personal aircraft because of the K on the tail, since all his aircraft were always named after his sister Kay. He ended the war flying Mustangs, with an official score of 16 aircraft and two probables, making him the highest ranking Rhodesian and Greek pilot. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by RealAir.

| 79C - Brennand Airport - Neenah, Wisconsin - USA |
|
File Description:
Well this is my 1st attempt at creating/editing an airport so be gentle. I created all the models in sketchup and used ADE to compile the airport. All you should have to do is unzip it and place it with your other add-on scenery and activate it in FSX.
This is for FSX ONLY. A P3D Version also exists here in the library 79C_Brennand_V1_FOR_P3D_V2.
Brennand Airport (79C) located about 4 miles southwest of Neenah WI. This airport is between KATW and KOSH. Brennand has had new ownership since 2013 and they have made many improvements in that time to 79C. So I went out there and took lots of pictures to create what I have for us now. They have built a new building and hangar which I have added along with all the other building on the airport grounds. The runway has been widened from 20 feet to 30 feet and they added PAPI lights on both runways 18 and 36 all of which I have included. I have changed the grass parking areas to reflect the way they are currently set up. (For fun parking area 8 is in the EAA Chapter 41 hangar (Hangar 11) with the door open so you can taxi out of the hangar. Now just need to figure out how to animate the hangar door).

| SKBO - El Dorado International Airport (2013) |
|
File Description:
El Dorado International Airport (IATA: BOG, ICAO: SKBO) is an international airport located in Bogota, Colombia. It is the largest Latin America airport in terms of cargo movements with 593,946 tons (2010) and the third in terms of
passenger traffic, only behind Sao Paulo-Guarulhos International Airport and Mexico City's Benito Juarez International Airport, transporting 18,934,203 passengers in 2010; as well as the largest airport in Colombia and the main
international and domestic air gateway in the country, serving as an important hub for Avianca, Copa Airlines Colombia, Aires, Satena, EasyFly and other cargo companies.
This file has the right coordinates, with the apron and characteristics of the airport with the new international terminal just builed in 2012. The runways were reoriented to the correct direction, runway were resized the gates placed on correct location and number, CATAM was placed
(Colombian Air force and Colombian National Army) and Colombia National Police and Colombian National Armada were assigned a correct apron. All the jet ways including the ones of the executive terminal are working. There is a copy
of all the airport charts required to navigate in and out of this airport which are courtesy of: Areonatica Civil de Colombia and the originals can be found at www.aerocivil.gov.co/ under Informacion Aeronautica click AIP; on AIP
click Aerodromos then click at SKBO.

| LJLJ - Jozef Puchnik International Airport - Ljubljana, Slovenia |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
Decent representation of Slovenian airport named after Jozef Pucnik,
located near the village Spodnji Brnik, some 15 miles north of Slovenia's capital Ljubljana.
The scenery is packed with many features: custom landclass in the walley underlying the approach paths to both runways(12 and 30),
custom airport layout as found after last reconstruction of aprons and taxiways, corrected approaches (so IFR AI traffic in case of a missed approach to runway 30 is no longer turning right crashing into the 8000ft mountains just North of the airport). All airport buildings are placed into their correct
locations and shapes, even if only default generic buildings and library objects were used.
You will also notice airport has 3 runways(AFCAD on steroids),when there is actually
only one in reality and only one is also visible in the simulation.
This was done in order to enable different categories of AI aircraft using different intersections
for departure and the only way possible to recreate this was to use overlayed runways of different lenght.
There are also some surprises hidden in the scenery, but we will leave them for you to discover.
Music titles used in the scenery are published with kind permission of the author, Mr.Slavko Avsenik.
Released as freeware but with limited distribution.

| Eurocopter EC-505 Tiger |
|
File Description:
TIGER HAP
The Tiger HAP/HCP (Helicoptere d'Appui Protection / Helicopter for Close Protection) is a medium-weight air-to-air combat and fire support helicopter built for the French Army. The Tiger HAP is an air-to-air combat and fire support medium-weight (6 tonnes) helicopter fitted with 2 MTR 390 engines. It is daytime and night combat capable and is operable in NBC environments. Three basic parameters were taken into account right from the start of the development phase: low (visual, radar and infrared) detectability, which provides excellent survivability on the battlefield, maximum efficiency of the weapons and the associated fire control systems without heavier workload for the crew, and an optimized logistic concept offering minimum possession costs. The Tiger HAP is fitted with a 30-mm gun turret; 68-mm submunition rokets, and air-to-air Mistral missiles. It also features a firing sight with 3 sensors: infrared, TV camera and direct optical channel. The complete avionics suite includes multi-purpose color displays and radar/laser warning receivers.
TIGER UHT
The UHT (from Unterstützungshubschrauber Tiger; Ger. supporting helicopter Tiger) is a medium-weight multi-role fire support helicopter built for the Bundeswehr (German Army). The Tiger UHT is a multi-role fire support helicopter. The Trigat Fire and Forget missiles and/or the Hot missiles it carries offer anti-tank capability, while 68-mm rockets ensure air-to-ground fire support. A 12.7 mm air-to-air gun pod and air-to-air Stinger missiles can also be installed. The helicopter also features a mast-mounted sight with a second-generation IRCCD infrared channel and a TV channel, as well as a nose-mounted IRCCD control FLIR for the pilot. Countermeasures include radar/laser/missiles launch/missile approach warning receivers and decoy launchers.
TIGER ARH
The Tiger ARH (Armed Reconnaissance Helicopter) is the version ordered by the Australian Army to replace its OH-58 Kiowas and UH-1 Iroquois-based 'Bushranger' gunships.[2] The Tiger ARH is a modified and upgraded version of the Tiger HAP with upgraded MTR390 engines as well as a laser designator incorporated in the Strix sight for the firing of Hellfire II air-to-ground missiles. Instead of SNEB unguided rockets, the ARH will operate 70 mm (2.75 in.) rockets from Belgian developer, Forges de Zeebruges (FZ).

| B-2A Spirit Stealth Bomber |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
The B-2A Stealth Bomber is the most sophisticated aircraft on the planet. She is essentially a “Flying Wing†platform with no V-Tail, and is controlled by pre-programed flight computers stationed in various positions within the crew cabin and wings. There is one main computer that controls the aircraft, with two redundant back-up computers assigned to it in case of failure. All additional computers are assigned to functions involving flight control, system monitoring, data communications, and radar. Engine and Aerodynamic effects are controlled by these computers which serve several actuators and ailerons, including the spoilerons, which further compensate for the lack of a V-Tail. In theory, and because of these computers, the aircraft is “Stall-Proofâ€. The only way it can stall is if the computers fail. There is no way she can be flown without the computers active. The REAL aircraft does almost everything based on pre-programed data, other than taxi to the runway (although this is also possible to program). Before each flight, the Mission is designed and then assigned to the Mission Flight Box (Portable Computer) which is then carried by the Commander to the aircraft, and the data from the box is “transferred†to the main on-board computers. Because of this, the B-2 cannot be flown until the box is ready for the mission, and pilots cannot simply jump in and fly her, with the exception that the data is transferred via satellite. Everything is pre-planned, and this takes several hours. Once the data is on-board, the taxi can begin. When lined-up on the runway, all the pilot needs to do is push a button or three. Everything else is computer controlled until landing. The aircraft CAN be flown manually with basic data inputs into the main computer systems, but even in that case it is not conventional. If a pilot wants to turn right, he sets the data to turn to a certain degrees of heading. The same with climb and descent, speed increase or decrease. A pilot cannot over-ride the computers in any case, so steep banks, climbs, or descents cannot be forced. There is a lot of space for the two member crew within the cockpit, but there is also a space reserved for one observer. This additional seat is known as “Suicide Position†because there is no ejection seat for that observer. In the event of a mishap, the observer can try to bail-out through the ejection hatches after the pilots, or can try the exit ramp door, or the bomb bay as an exit route. The odds of escape for the observer are very small, but he has a parachute as reassurance. Otherwise, what the crew does during missions is only a guess, since they really don't have to do anything unless an alarm goes off. Since the plane flies so smooth, we can only imagine what sort of things they may dream-up to entertain themselves during a long flight. High altitude flights are conducted at night mainly due to the obvious contrail such a flight will exhibit during the day with such hot engines. The engines are encased in a heat absorbing shield material (still exhaust exists), and the rest of the plane is coated with Radar absorbant material, with the additional low profile effect of the aircraft design itself. If it can be seen by the ground or a fighter, it can be attacked by fighters or the ground. During daytime flight they will stay below the contrail level, and monitor the radar systems in preparations for counter-measures. If a fighter can visually observe them, the fighter may be able to shoot them down with bullets from behind, but not likely with missiles because of the sophisticated counter-measures available. On Radar the aircraft appears the size of a pigeon, until about 8 to 10 miles away, which would be too late to counter from the ground, so most attacks are either done at night or during the day at very low altitude. Upon landing the aircraft is automated down to about 200 feet AGL, when the pilot takes command. All she/he does at this point is allow her to glide down and contact the runway, and retard the engines. Brakes are used to slow, then the computers are turned off, and the pilot can control the throttles, nose gear, and brakes. The Commander watches for obstructions, mainly, and communicates with the tower and ground crew. Everything in this model has been reconfigured to meet realistic standards, without any tricks or flight tuning, and following real world aerodynamic principals and available data, including MOI. The panel requires study before use, but very realistic. The sounds are very authentic. There is no other model offered anywhere that compares to what you have now available in front of you. Please read and study the Readme.txt file within the main folder before attempting to fly this 2.2 Billion Dollar aircraft. Yes, that's correct ... $2,200,000,000 each! | CYVR Building Fix for FSX only |
|
File Description:
Microsoft has done a fantastic job in FSX of improving CYVR in both accuracy and detail. Unfortunately it looks like an airphoto showing a large black area at the northwest corner of the terminal area was misinterpreted as a building. In reality this was an area of pre-load fill covered with a black tarp. It is now removed. This file excludes that non-existant building.
