This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX. It is shown here as C-FCRR, with Air France colors. Built by Boeing of Canada at Vancouver, it became RCAF Canso 9767 on March 4, 1943, and was allocated to Squadron 162, coded S, at Reykjavik, Iceland. In 1944, piloted by Flying Officers Thomas Charles Cooke and Eric Walter Wiskin, 9767 sank the German U-boat U-342 off the coast of Iceland on April 17. The amphibian was removed from the military service on April 1, 1946. The same year it was sold to Canadian Pacific Airlines, registered CF-CRR and assigned fleet number 233 (later 933), it was operated until 1959, thereafter by Northland Airlines (1960-1968), Midwest Airlines (1969-1970), and Ilford Riverton until 1973. The registration was changed to C-FCRR when Avalon Aviation acquired it as a water bomber in 1977, listed as Tanker number 791.
In 1995 the aircraft was bought by Powell Eorp. Of Parry Sound, Ontario, subsequently it was owned by the Canadian Air Legend. The French pilot Franklin Devaux bought C-FCRR in 1995 and converted it to a flying television studio, it was based at Le Bourget, Paris, France. During 1996 C-FCRR was the star of monthly French television programme Operation Okavango, while in September 1998 it was the eye catcher of the three-week Champs-Elysees (Paris) static air show. The following October the aircraft started an 8,078 mls (13,000 km) trip to Chile via Dakar (Senegal) and Natal (Brazil) to commemorate early Air France South Atlantic mail service, returning to France in June 1999. On January 19, 2002 the aircraft was stored at Orly Airport, Paris, and has not flown since. Its Canadian registration was cancelled on October 7, 2005. This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina for FSX. It is shown here in the colors of F-BBCD of Air France. F-BBCD was built by Boeing of Canada with buno 22020 as a Canso A. It served with the Canadian Air Force with registration 9791. In 1947, it was bought, with two other Canso's, by Air France, converted to carry passengers, and used in the Caribbean for flights between Fort de France and San Juan, Point a Pitre and Port of Spain. It was used until 1951, when it was sold to the Foshing Air Transport Corporation of Formosa (now Taiwan) where it was registered XT-1402 and later B-1402. It disappeared over the ocean between Matsu and Taipei on the 1st of October 1958. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the repaint kit by Aerosoft.

This folder contains a repaint for the Aerosoft PBY Catalina. I have painted it in the colors of an aircraft of the Free French Squadron VFP-1 (6 FE), based in Agadir, French Marocco, 1943-1944. Lack of suitable photos means this paint is not 100% accurate. Repaint by Jan Kees Blom, based on the Aerosoft paintkit.

The city of Avalon on Catalina Island with many custom built objects including the Turret House, Wrigley Memorial, Pier, working Bell Tower (sounds), and several businesses and hotels. This scenery was designed around the freeware Catalina Island by Aerosoft and is required for this scenery to display correctly. FS2002 version of this scenery has over 5500 downloads. Tested on FSX Gold Edition (FSX Deluxe and Acceleration Expansion Pack), FSGenesis 9.6 terrain mesh, and Win7 operating system. Requires RWEOBJv5.zip & RWEOBJc5.zip (or later) Object Libraries. This folder contains a repaint for the Grumman Goose Redux, available at OZx, in the colors of N13CS (c/n 1007), in the colors of Air Catalina as it looked around 1976.It was originally NC16916, before joinming the RCAF as 943. It then went to British Guyana were it crashed in 1952. It was rebuilt in Miami and then went to the Bahama's as VP-BAA.It came back to the US and joined the Avalon/Catalina fleet in 1960, flying until 1984. She was struck of the register in 1991. by Jan Kees Blom, based on the paintkit by the OZx team.
