File Description:
This is an update of my FS2002 model of my Great-Uncle Frank Kruse's plane. Built approx. 1910 from plans in 'Popular Mechanics'. The model is animated thanks to Dave Nunez's Modeldef_Edit and has a fully functional virtual cockpit. Pilot by Dave Eckert, sound by Aaron Swindle. Everything else by Tom Eads.

File Description:
This fixes several FDE and gauge problems. No longer will you need to use 3/4 throttle to taxi, plane responds better to autopilot, backup gauges now work. I've also added a new sound set, an accurate Reference Sheet in the kneeboard, and door gauge which controls all of the planes doors.

Since my jet views where such a big hit I have made a props version for you all too. I have changed the default camera positions on the FSX default C172, C208B, Baron 58, King Air 350, Bravo, Maule, Piper J3, Extra 300, Goose G21A, Beaver DHC2, Douglas DC3 and whilst I was at it, the Aircreation 582SL. The new views include an improved wing view looking from the aircraft down the wing and also a realistic cabin view using the VC's right seat view. It took me hours of trial and error! I hope you all enjoy the new positions;) All credit to Microsoft as I have simply edited their data.

I was flying around the FSX world looking for a real world sloping airstrip just begging to be modeled with a touchdown tire squealing, smoking rubber - that kind of hardened surface sloping runway after I finally figured out how to persuade the FSX SDK to compile one. The Airfield Candidate shall have high density LiDAR elevation and high resolution Orthoimagery data available for public download. I was flying a Beechcraft Baron 58 over Wanaque Reservoir in Northeast NJ of all places when I happened upon a photo scenery runway on a sloping hill top without the usual FSX flattened airport plateau effect and FSX textured runway. What I miss the most into a lot of FS Aircraft is the smart "click" of the switches. That's the reason of this gauge. It works with most of the switches of the default FS airplanes, but also with most of add-ons (free or pay) that use default xml code. You will hear a nice "click" for battery, gen, avionics, lights, pitot, etc... But also a small "tictictic" when selecting VOR/NDB direction, a big "clang" when putting the parking brake, and a light "sblug" when selecting a fuel tank. The sounds are suitable for general aviation airplane, like C172, Baron, Beaver that have metal switches. Not suitable for jetliners. By Daniel Gauthier.
