DESCRIPTION:
For years I worked on Flight Simulator I realized that many people have problems with showing the gauges panel (black screen) or special effects such as afterburner, smoke or line of condensation occurring after uninstalling an add-on or accidentally deleted files of the simulator.
In your Flight Simulator X there is a folder named 'Gauges' it contains files 'gauges' representative board instrumentation for each add-on, such as the autopilot, the horizon indicator etc, if you delete one of these files, your panel will not display the gauge that it was programmed. It is the same for the folder 'Effects' that contains all the special effects in FSX, it sometimes happens that some files in these folders disappear leaving your simulator in a situation where you no longer see your instrument panel (black screens) and afetburner invisible. Under these conditions, you reinstall FSX and lose a lot of time (and patience).
So I created Gauges Recovery, a small free utility that will restore all your gauges and effects of origin in less than 10 seconds. With Gauges Recovery, you're sure to get the display of all gauges and effects.
This program does restore the original files from Microsoft FSX FSX SP1, FSX SP2 and not the files from other publishers, no changes will be made to these files.
Some people see the gauges all black (black screens), unless FSX is installed correctly. The solution to this problem is to install the files MSVCP70.DLL and msvcr70.dll in your 'system32', Gauges Recovery does this automatically for you.
Do not look if Gauges Recovery is installed because there is no installation, the program only updates files in FSX and nothing else.

The Boeing 787 is one of the most sophisticated aircraft ever designed, and I have worked on several FS models from even before the real aircraft was ever built. I have accumulated so much data relating to this plane that I can now incorporate real world dynamics for it based on extremely realistic information. The aircraft offered here has been modified to offer all of that realism. In the real world, the 787 is flown primarily with autopilot controls, and this model is no different. It doesn't take a lot to fly this plane, and if I were to be offered the challenge I think I'd be up and flying within a few minutes, in a real 787. Because of this, I offer no advise other than normal flight rules.
If you are new to FSX, please learn through the on-board tutorials. I am not a tutor. I do not have anything to do with cosmetics. I do not design panels. All I do is help educate you about the realism of aircraft design. You can look at the aircraft.cfg and the .air file (Airfile Editor Required) to see what I've done in comparison to the original model, but I will not really help you with tutorial related issues. If you find something you think is wrong, let me know. Otherwise, enjoy this model and fly her like the real thing.

Modded StearmanDriver(SD) RNP RNAV Rwy 26 into PAJN, Juneau, Alaska. SD gave us a cool little route that while not LATLONG nor Fixname accurate, it couldn't be without legal and occupational liabilities...and it worked, but if you look at his FixNames and the LATLONG from the PAJN.txt file for the 737 NGX...it did work pretty nicely...at least as nicely as the charted RNAV course into Rwy 8. So I created my own procedure LATLONG rightly or wrongly in a multi-step procedure as follows:
1. I took the raw info provided by SD and flew to each of his waypoints,(if you look, almost all of his FIXs were rounded off...to avoid company or legal problems) noting safe altitude, starting out at 7000ft, creating user waypoints in my GTN750, looking around for first, vertical, then horizontal safety...keeping in mind that Ultimately...I would not be using this data for my Duke, but for the Procedure page of my PMDG 737 NGX..which you already saw me fly with SD's fixes.
2. I took my Turbine Duke up and noted the REAL LATLONG as reported by slewing and world map...transposed those numbers into the format that PMDG's procedures needed DDD.mm fractional minutes. I converted using http://www.directionsmag.com/site/latlong-converter/
3.I created my own mid-point user waypoints from the west CHRTRN,and the NNE CHRTS so we could have approaches from those directions.
4. I put my Duke into autopilot, knowing the lateral info...my flightplan was correct, but I would have to handle the Vnav manually. Turns out its rather manageable with the following info: CHRTRN 5000FT - MARMN 3500FT - TRDWL 2500FT - SALMN 1500 - LEMNN 500 - PAJN5 50

Recommended:
For more easy use, run this program on a second monitor or much better on a second computer(laptop) where FSUIPC-client is running in the same network where FSX/FS2000 is running and FSUIPC WideFs is registered.

Since it became operational in 1955, the B-52 has been the main long-range heavy bomber of the U.S. Air Force. It first flew on Apr. 15, 1952. Nearly 750 B-52s were built when production ended in Oct. 1963. This "J" model is the future re-engined "h" model 60-0042 of the 917th Wing AFRC based at Barksdale AFB (KBAD). She flies higher, further, and faster than any previous version. The aircraft can cruise at 380 KIAS at 500 ft agl over about 5,000 nm which makes her capable of reaching targets within enemy airspace anywhere on the globe without being detected by radar until it's too late. Her normal high altitude cruise speed has been increased to Mach .88 above FL550E over 9,000 nm without refueling, and her service ceiling has increased to FL570E. The 50,000 lb payload is still nominal, but due to the lighter engines she now has more accomidations for the crew, and does not require refueling very often. She can range much further with less speed (i.e., Mach .85), but there is normally no need for that. This aircraft is designed to fly like the real thing. It is likely one of the best B-52 models available at this time. I have test-flown this aircraft around the globe several times to reassure myself that all is well. You will not have a bouncing effect occur when cruising with 16x speed acceleration and autopilot engaged because all aerodynamics and balance are perfected to a very low margin of error, or no error margin at all. This aircraft (for FSX, with update-patch #2) is a simulated replica of Maersk Air's 'Pocket Rocket' OY-MBZ (a Boeing 737-2L9 a.k.a. 737-200/Advanced) anno 1989. It is designed for a screen-resolution of 1280x1024. Other resolutions have not been tested. It will NOT work correctly in FS2004 (FS9). It has been tested on Windows XP (32bit) and Windows 7 (64bit) only. It is designed to be as realistic as possible, and flight-experience from the real aircraft, as well as large amounts of documentation, have been used to get it as accurate as possible. It has a fairly advanced panel with many systems simulated, such as a passenger oxygen system, a cabin pressure system, anti-skid brakes, EPR control of each engine (with the possibility of asymmetric thrust), IVSI with TCAS, Sperry SP177 autopilot with working CWS and level-change button, active yaw-damper, Quality-of-flight index (so you can see how well you operate the aircraft), windshield wiper, custom flight-computer, automatic Vspeeds for takeoff and landing, takeoff trim calculator, master caution system, PAX simulator (if you make a mistake they may die), a JT8D-17 engine with slow spin-up time (do not idle it on approach). It features a relatively realistic random-failures/error simulation which will trigger, or de-trigger, any of a variety of possible failures/errors (from small gauge-errors to large engine-failures or cabin de-compression). The chance of a failure/error is very low (you may never even get one, but they can happen, so stay alert), maybe less than 1 percent chance per 24 hours of flight-time. It features engine-management simulation, so overheating an engine will cause it to fail (now you actually need to pay attention to the EGT during engine-startup, and have your finger ready at the fuel-cutoff switch just in case you need to save the engine from heat-damage). It features sounds recorded from the actual aircraft (OY-MBZ).

FSX Boeing 747-8i Virgin Galactic with advanced VC by Alejandro Rojas Lucena and VC Textures Upgrade by Enrique Cornejo, founder of the Flightsim Workshop Project. This gives the b747 a payware Virtual Cockpit look and now with green leather tapestry on the sides of the seats. It even has a pilot jacket hanged in the rear of the cockpit (besides the right jumpseat). The panel.cfg and the aircraft.cfg have been assembled and edited by the Flightsim Workshop Team. Now you can pop up "My icons" window in the Virtual Cockpit to easily reach the following windows: GPS, avionics, map, ATC, Climb/Radio Altimeter/Spoiler switch, auto-break switch, throttle quadrant, clock, descent meter, kneeboard and overhead panel. A new feature in My Icons Window I added is a new Pitot Heat switch with ON and Off features, (XML gauge by Enrique Cornejo). cold weather, the Pitot Heat switch works just like in real life, so if its turned off the air speed indicator will stop working, so make sure you turn the Pitot Heat switch on before taking off!
The autopilot ON switches have green lights which make them look more realistic. Center ATC identification in this aircraft is "Boeing 747". We have also fixed the position of the strobe lights so when the aircraft is flying they are in the right place, so turn on the strobe lights switch after take off. The cockpit view from the pilots seat is now more comfortable because the distance between the cockpit and the seat is longer.
The aircraft has new engine views (from both wings) and new Virtual Cockpit interior views from the left, right and central jump seats. The brakes has a differential brake system to make smoother turns in ground. The Virgin Galactic Spaceship texture is wonderful and it has a unique paint scheme by Enrique Cornejo which also includes details such as some stains caused by humidity in the fuselage and the wing flaps and other details just like a real aircraft. Real smoke in the four engines, just select key, more cabin views, realistic cockpit and engines sound & more realistic night VC lights and fuselage night textures, in the VC just select key and reset the overhead Instrument panel light dim switch in the overhead panel. The aileron parameters have also improved, so now the right and left turns are smoother. This aircraft uses the Project Opensky FSX Boeing B747-800 Model OSX748V4_GENX(MDL), and includes the gauge window Posky Utility to view the main stairs, ground cargo servicing, etc. The engine sounds are edited like the real ones with cockpit ambient, so you can enjoy a pleasant flight. The Flight Management Computer (FMC) is fixed and looks like a payware instrument. The VC includes FMC, Primary Flight Display (PFD) and Multi-Function Display (MDF) displayed in the correct size. The virtual cockpit also has an Engine-Indicating and Crew-Alerting System also known as EICAS, Ground Proximity Warning System (GPWS), working wipers, cabin lights, fire suppression, avionics switch, fuel cross feed, and you can identify those instruments in the overhead panel because they are bordered with color lines. You can also find landing lights switches, taxi light switch, engine generators, APU generator, battery switch, starter switches, de-ice switch, general lights switches which are a great work of Alejandro. So now the whole cockpit and texture upgrade with all these improvements looks better than a payware version. The clock numbers are now in orange which makes them look better and easily recognizable.
