NRAO - Karl G. Jansky Very Large Array

File Description: The VLA or "Jansky Array", managed by the National Radio Astronomy Observatory (NRAO) consists of 27 independent radio telescope dishes, each with a diameter of 82 feet and weight of over 200 tons. Each antenna is found along the three arms of a track shaped in a Y configuration measuring 13 miles long. Using the rail tracks that follow each of these arms the antennas can be physically relocated to a number of prepared positions. At one point, the arms intersect with U.S. Route 60 which passes right through the middle of the array. It has been featured in numerous films, such as Armageddon, Independence Day, Terminator Salvation, a Bon Jovi music video, and was featured most prominently -and correctly- in the Carl Sagan novel Contact, as well as the film of the same name. Also updated is the closest airport to the VLA - Magdalena, NM - N29. It's a small dirt strip a few miles to the east, between Socorro and the VLA. It serves as a nice staging area for flights to the VLA. Includes a helipad startup location with NM99 ident. Scenery by Jason L. Terry. For FSX Acceleration.

1F2 - Plateau Sky Ranch - Edinburg, NY

File Description:
Here is an improved version of the stock Plateau Sky Ranch. This is a privately owned field, open to the public. It consists of two grass runways and is located just north of the Great Sacandaga Lake.
In FSX, there were no buildings at all, so I added the hangar, and the hangars and planes that are located across a public road. I moved both runways because, with UTX, the road crossed both runways. Now the runways clearthe road. In FSX there were taxiways with hold-short lines, taxiway signs, etc, which didn't belong so they were removed. I added a dirt driveway, parking area, fuel station, light pole, flag, and a couple of local houses and barn.

There is a lot of nice scenery in any direction from Plateau Sky Ranch. If you take off from runway 6 and follow the waterway you will come to the earthen Conklingville dam and the upper Hudson River.
I've added an extra file for UTX users called Boats.bgl. It will add several marinas and boats in correct locations on the Great Sacandaga Lake.

Odense Airport (EKOD), Funen, Denmark

File Description: Odense Lufthavn (Odense Airport) is situated close the village of Beldringe, a few km north of Odense, the main city on the island of Funen, Denmark. Like several other Danish airports it was established as an airbase by the Germans during World War II. It was taken over by the Danish state after the war and owned by the state until 1998, at which time it was taken over by a consortium of local authorities, including the city of Odense. Since the opening of the Great Belt Lin in 1997 there has been no regular passenger flights, apart from some charter traffic during the summer season. But there is a lot of traffic with one- and two-motor craft (including rotor craft) due to the many companies based in the airport. The package is a complete scenery of the airport, including a few buildings around it. It includes approach lights, runway lights, taxiway lights and light on the apron, the car parking area and the surrounding roads. A traffic file with the (limited) charter traffic of the airport is also included.
