This folder contains a repaint for the Supermarine Spitfire Mk.IX by Real Air. It shows Spitfire IXc ML214 5J-K as flown by Squadron Leader Ioannis Agorastos "John" Plagis of RAF 126 (Persian Gulf) Squadron, based in RAF Culmhead, may 1944. S/L Plagis was born in Rhodesia of Greek parents and was officially listed as a Greek pilot with the RAF. He enlisted in october 1940, and was trained in the UK before being sent to the Mediterranean. He flew a Spitfire off HMS Eagle to Malta, where he soon became the first Spitfire ace with 249 squadron. His final score on Malta was 10, keeping a vow he made when a friend of his was shot down by the Germans. He returned to the UK in august 1942 and spent a year as an instructor. He returned to active duty in september 1943 as CO of 64 squadron, and joined No 126 squadron in january 1944. He picked ML214 as his personal aircraft because of the K on the tail, since all his aircraft were always named after his sister Kay. He ended the war flying Mustangs, with an official score of 16 aircraft and two probables, making him the highest ranking Rhodesian and Greek pilot. File Description:
Located 01 miles E of Robbinsville, New Jersey on 139 acres of land, Trenton-Robbinsville Airport is a public asphalt strip 4275' in length. Airport improvements over stock include non-precision runway markings added, PAPI lights placed accurately and glide slopes adjusted, segment circle rendered and all parking locations placed. If a parking spot is labeled RAMP_GA it is occupied or blocked by a static scenery object and should not be selected by the user. (All static scenery by parking locations has collision disabled). All tiedown locations are RAMP_GA_SMALL that can accommodate planes with wingspans up to 40 feet. There is hangar parking, noted by a DOCK_GA parking identifier, that can handle aircraft with wingspans up to 60 feet. Fuel is available by stopping next to the fuel tank in the middle of the tarmac area. Windsock (wind tee within seg circle) is out of service indefinitely. Scenery constructed with use of satellite images/streetview/aerial photos - the author has not been there in person. This scenery is meant to be used in conjunction with MegaScenery Earth New Jersey/Delaware 002. It is not required, but apron use is minimized to allow satellite scenery to show through as much as possible, and objects are placed based on the MSE textures - lack of it may make scenery look out of place.

C-5M SUPER-GALAXY:
The US Air Force has initiated a comprehensive upgrade program to ensure the capability of the C-5 fleet to at least 2040. The first phase of the upgrade is the avionics modernization program (AMP). The second phase, the C-5 reliability enhancement and re-engineering program (RERP) is to upgrade the aircraft's engines, pylons and improve reliability. The C-5s that complete these upgrades are designated C-5M Super Galaxy.
This aircraft has been rebuilt using real world aero/engine dynamics which are all public access related, and some based on real world aerodynamic formulas. The aircraft in this version includes all correct aerodynamic characteristics, correct engine dynamics, correct weight/balance, correct payload management, correct wheel details, and correct Moments of Inertia. As far as I know, nothing is incorrect, and any real world C-5M pilot will likely agree. This all required over 5 years of study and test flights in my free time. It is now at a point where I cannot find anything new to correct. This version also includes AFCAD files to help the user simulate realistic flights to/from normal C-5M bases.

File Description:
A repaint for the Aerosoft PBY-5 Catalina in the colors of G-PBYA, originally ordered for the Royal Canadian Air Force as a Canso A amphibian, basically equivalent to the US Navy PBY-5A. It was built by Canadian Vickers at Cartierville, Quebec and was allocated their constructors number CV-283 before adopting the RCAF serial 11005. It was taken on charge by the air force on 27 October 1943 and initially saw service with 9 (Bomber Reconnaissance) Squadron at Bella Bella on the British Columbia coast between Vancouver and Prince Rupert. It was on their inventory from November to the following August. 9 Squadron had been based at Bella Bella for some time prior to the arrival of Cansos, having operated Supermarine Stranraers there. The Cansos were mainly operated from water despite their amphibious undercarriages and were used on day and night patrols, looking out for enemy submarines. By mid-1944, the threat of a Japanese invasion of Western Canada had receded and it was decided to disband 9 Squadron and close the station at Bella Bella. The Cansos, including 11005, were flown to Alliford Bay in the Queen Charlotte Islands, also in British Columbia, and transferred to 7 (BR) Squadron in August. The job was the same – anti-submarine patrols mostly – and 11005 remained with 7 Sqn until it too was disbanded on 25 July 1945. After a post-war career as transport and waterbomber, it was acquired by Plane Sailing in 2004, restored and repainted as a OA-10A of the USAAF. It is based in Duxford.
