File Description:
This AFCAD requires payware "Ultimate Terrain Alaska X"!! It will not work without it as it is built on the underlying terrain features and the included file "PAKT_AP.BGL" which has to be renamed or moved to a folder outside the FSX terrain environment. The original file included some errors which I tried to correct. This patch is published with permission.
Changes: The apron layout is corrected including now taxiway "C" leading to GA parking. The pavement has been changed to asphalt as it appears to be when taking aerial pictures as template. The runway got the proper overruns at both sides and the position of the ILS glideslope and localizer has been corrected as well as the DME. The layout of the airport building arrangement including the tower should be now closer to the real world and I added a working jetway. However, I used FSX default objects. As I was dependent on quite rare layout information I just tried to adjust the taxi paths and parking spots probably closer to the reality than before but I did not put any effort to name the parking spots like in real life nor did I take care for taxi signs (only the runway entries got such).

| USAAF PT-17 Stearman (N38940) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint only, for the payware Vertigo Studios Stearman Vol.1 set. This repaint depicts the restored Stearman PT-17 N38940, owned/operated by Paul Bennett, based at Priory Farm, Norfolk, England. The aircraft was manufactured as USAAF 41-8263, and from 1941 until February 1944 the aircraft was used continually, despite being involved in 4 separate training accidents, with a 5th accident taking it out of service althogether. The remains of the aircraft were restored, with the aircraft first flying again in 1977, and later, sold to Paul Bennett in 1992, the aircraft was restored again, to factory-original award-winning condition and finished in the same all-silver color scheme it would have had in 1944. The contrast between the metal and fabric surfaces on this aircraft is period-authentic, as although the fabric surfaces were coated in silver dope, the metal panels were anodized and left bare. Two versions of the repaint are included, with one featuring the temporary 445th Bomb Group tail markings the aircraft sported in 2006.

| FSTramp v8.84 for MSFS, FSX(-SE), Prepart3D, X-Plane (Win) |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This add-on is an EXE application for Microsoft Flight Simulator and a DLL module for all other simulators. The DLL variant is activated via hotkeys or the simulator menu add-ons or plugins. Window size and layout are configurable for one or more screens. To avoid dazzling, the brightness of the entire application is customizable. Primarily it is a flight management system (FMS) with automatic control from start to landing. This also includes the observance of SID, STAR and Approaches in unmatched quality. The flight plan required for the FMS can be created manually or automatically, interactive changes and additions during the flight are possible. The basis of the flight planner is the 3D world map and the search function for airfields and navigation aids. The FMS by FSTramp relies on the autopilot of the aircraft. In case of incompatibility, the autopilot integrated in FSTramp will be used. This allows FSTramp to control almost all aircraft from airport to airport. The altitude profile of the flight plan, SID, STAR and approach is taken into account. This means that FSTramp extends the often incomplete airport procedures to and from the runway so that they can be flown completely automatically. During the fully automatic flight, the autopilot values for HDG, ALT, VSPEED, SPD and MACH can be manually overridden. This is e.g. useful for being able to react to the instructions of the tower in the final approach without completely stopping the automatic flight. The rotating or north pointing 3D world map with numeric display of the terrain elevation under the mouse arrow is another special feature. It does not need an internet but is synthesized from included height profiles of the globe. The Data of continents, mountains and rivers are included in the setup. Airspaces, Airways, Waypoints and SID, STAR and Approaches are also included in the setup, but can be updated by installing additional AIRAC cycles. Airfields and navigation stations are taken from the simulator. NVIDIA: If the frame rate of the simulator drops sharply about 20 seconds after FSTramp's visibility, the power management of the GPU slows down prematurely. In the NVIDIA Control Panel, change the 'Manage 3D settings - Power management mode' option to 'Adaptive'.

| FIP - 5 Gauge Display - 2 Engine |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This set of gauges is for use in the Saitek FIP and has been developed specifically for the Baron 58 and variants but should work with other twin prop aircraft. There are 3 options-
option 1. a pair of gauges for displaying on 2 FIPs (layout is similar to the fsx BB58 layout)
option 2. One gauge for displaying only on 1 FIP (left and right eng needle on each of the 5 main instruments )
option 3. a pair of gauges for displaying on 2 FIPs with larger diameter gauges and more user interaction than in 1. above.
1,2, & 3 all have the 5 main engine instrumentation ( RPM, Manifild Pressure, Fuel Flow rate, Oil Temp and Pressure, CHT/EGT Temp.) Additional features are added .e.g Marker Beacon indicators plus indicator of left / right fuel tank selected for each engine, NAV 1 & NAV 2 with DME data.
Option 1 & 3 also has fuel pump switches, alternator switches, starter buttons, cowl flaps and Amps (total load) gauge, and Battery volts gauge.
Option 3 also has additional avionics data and avionics and battery switch buttons. All this enables the aircraft to be started from cold and shut down to cold. The avionics data is useful if you only have one Saitek radio panel. i.e. dont have to keep clicking / rotating switches all the time. This option also gives user ability to alter NAV 1 standby frequency and swap to active.
With the 2 gauges in option 3 above plus my earlier FIP gauge containing a working Auto pilot and fuel levels / flaps and landing gear indicators (refer "FIP-AP Multi Fuel Gauges") there is everything required (not the primary flight display instruments) for flying a single or twin prop aircraft displayed across either 2 or 3 FIPs.

| RNAS Twatt (HMS Tern) |
|
File Description:
Opened on the 1 April 1941 RNAS (HMS Tern) was used throughout the second world war by various Sqns of the Royal Navy undergoing training.
The station had 4 concrete runways with various hangers and the usual building associated with a military base. It was also the first unit in the UK to experience a helicopter crash when a Sikorsky helicopter getting ready for take off; hit a parked Blenheim.
The UK and Iceland where involved in what was called the cod wars in the early 1970s, and NATO was concerned that it would have to remove its bases from Iceland should the dispute escalate between the 2 countries and there was talk of Twatt becoming a NATO base. However, this did not happen and the idea was dropped.
There was also talk of the unit becoming a base for helicopters supporting the oil industry, however, as a result of the drop in oil prices during the 80s that idea was also dropped.
Most of the airfield has been returned to farming now with only the unique Control Tower and a handful of other building remaining.

| SIDSTAR Procedure File for KATL |
|
File Description:
PMDG SIDSTARS Cycle 1113-1201 (15DEC11-09FEB12) based on FAA National Data from National Flight Data Center, issued every 56d (Two Navigraph Cycles). These procedures include the following enhancements: All procedures are included as-published by the FAA and they are expanded to replace ATC-vectors with realistic route segments for use in a non-ATC environment (ie not using VATSIM or other service). All STARs include routing from the arrival to the final approach fix of the approach and all SIDs are expanded to include routing from the runway to the departure gate. RNP approaches that have arc-segments are accurately modelled. Procedure turns are included for all approaches where published.
At Atlanta in particular, the unpublished departures alluded to in the ATL5 SID (EAONE EATWO etc) are included for use with turboprop aircraft (the jets use the RNAV departures), and the non-RNAV STARs provide route segments to the arrival approaches with realistic constraints for turboprops.
The SIDSTAR text file includes a detailed header listing all procedures and notes to help get the best use of the procedures. For the interested, I included an example of how to create an arc where the radius and arc center are unknown based on using a geographical tool such as COMPSYS (available free from the FAA).

| FSX/P3D Aloha Airlines DC-3 circa 1958 |
|
Images related to this file:
File Description:
This is a repaint of the DC-3 in Aloha Airlines colors. The freeware DC-3/C-47 v3 by Manfred Jahn is needed for this repaint. Aloha was founded in 1946 under the name of Trans Pacific Airways. With a single DC-3, they offered passenger charter and cargo services between the islands of Oahu, Maui and Hawaii. On February 11 1949 they officially became a scheduled service airline. Their main rival was Hawaiian Airlines, and in 1957 they changed their name to Aloha Airline to better compete against Hawaiian. In 1959 a modern F-27 joined the fleet, which forced the retirement of Aloha's aging DC-3 fleet by the mid 1960s. They also introduced the Viscount 745D in June 1961. BAC-111s were acquired in 1966. However, the British made airliners had limitations in the very humid environment of Hawaii, and in 1967 Aloha ordered 2 Boeing 737-200s with a further 6 in 1968 to replace the BAC-111s. The 737s were destined to become the workhorse of the airline, with over 60 being used by Aloha over the years. Their iconic "Flower Power" livery was unveiled in 1969, and was reintroduced in 2006 on one of their 737 as a retro livery. Due to heavy financial problems caused by various factors, Aloha unfortunately ceased operations on March 31 2008. This DC-3, N2804D, was leased by Aloha in the late 1950s. Textures are DDS DXT5. This repaint was tested on FSX-SE and should work on FSX & P3D v1-3.
