An EZ Object Library of the Helicopter Landing Trainer (HLT) ship

File Description:
An EZ Object Library of the Helicopter Landing Trainer (HLT) by David Sreet. The model is based upon a real training vessel which is stationed at Pensacola Florida. This ship can be placed in your scenery using the EZ or Instant Scenery Object Placing programs. My thanks to Mr. Street for granting permission to compile and upload this library. Please unzip to a temporary folder and follow the easy installation instructions. Note: The deck of this ship is not hardened so you cannot land a Helicopter on it. To harden the deck, please download - afc_hard.zip -. This is an Illustrated Tutorial which shows how to easily harden such surfaces using the Afcad program. Compiled for your flying enjoyment by David "Opa" Marshall.

API Manager

File Description:
API macros are old technology as far as FS scenery design is concerned. The new approach in FS2004 and beyond is quite different. It seems possible that scenery files using macros will not be supported in the next version of FS. Nevertheless there are many scenery designers who still use macros. I am one and I have a large collection of macros. I wanted a way to manage and categorize these macros. I also wanted to be sure that I could credit authors correctly when I use the results of their efforts. I wanted a way to keep information about object footprint and scale and I wanted to know ahead of time if I had missing textures for an object. Hence API Manager. Please be aware that this is a first release and there are likely to be things wrong. There are also some areas of the program which could be more user friendly. Please note that API Manager only works with api macros Requires dotNET framework version 2 from Microsoft. Support is available from www.scruffyduck.plus.com

Military Guard Towers

File Description:
FS2004/FS2002 API macro--Guard Towers in 3 versions for military scenery designers. Vietnam Veterans will probably recognize these towers as they were similarly built and used throughout the country during the war. Two are 50 feet tall and one is a short tower as was used on the beaches at Chu Lai, Vietnam.

Round Fishing Boat

File Description:
FS2004/FS2002 API macro--Round Fishing Boat for scenery designers in 3 versions. Flat Bottom for use on the water, Rounded bottom for display on the beach and upside down for display on a beach. This ancient design has been in use for centuries as a one or two man fishing boat. It is really a tar sealed basket that is surprisingly stable and maneuverable when paddled in the coastal or river waters of Vietnam.

Military Control Towers

File Description:
FS2004/FS2002 API macro--Control Towers for scenery designers. Three military versions including the Chu Lai Airfield Control Tower, Chu Lai Weather Tower and the Ky Ha Helipad control tower. Even though these towers were designed to match the real articles at Chu Lai they are typical of like towers used during the Vietnam War and can be used anywhere else without difficulty.
