Waskaganish CYKQ in northern Quebec, Canada - revised Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Waskaganish is at the southern end of James Bay, in Quebec, and this is a revised version. It deletes a hold short that should not have been showing on the gravel, and adds in signage, runway lights, taxiway lights, terminal night textures, and revised AI. I have no idea why I didn't include the night textures before. It presumes you have already installed my October 2010 Waskaganish.

Sanikiluaq CYSK in Hudson Bay, Nunavut, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Sanikiluaq is a village 740 or so inhabitants at N56 30, W79, which means in the southern part of Hudson Bay, close to James Bay. The village is at the north end of Flaherty Island, which is the largest of the Belcher Islands. You might fly there from La Grande Riviere in Quebec (200 miles SSE) or maybe from Moosonee in Ontario at the bottom of James Bay (350 miles SSW). Sanikiluaq village does not feature in FS9, so the first thing to do was to add it; it is the right shape and with around the right number of houses on the right streets but as I wasn't going to model 100+ individual houses just think of it as a hand-made auto-generated village. I also had to move the airfield over beside the river, so there is a DELETE file and a GRASS file and a ROADS file, as well as an AFCAD for AI and a scenery file. And AI for a visiting Air Inuit plane.

CYSK - Sanikiluaq - Southern Nunavut, Canada Revised Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Sanikiluaq is on one of the Belcher Islands in Hudson Bay, near the northern end of James Bay, and this is a revised version. It corrects the terminal that I made with limited information and faded memories the first time, adds in signage, runway lights, taxiway lights, terminal night textures, and revised AI. The "spare" parking space is the one next to the 4 gas drums on a pallet; line up with the traffic cone. It presumes you have already installed my September 2010 Sanikiluaq post, and this version is not complete by itself.

Redcliffe & Caboolture Airports, Queensland Download

File Description:
THese are my latest versions of these two great little General Aviation airports for FS9 (FS2004) Redcliffe is the next biggest general aviation airport in the Brisbane region after Archerfield. This version is a fairly close representation of the real thing which is the home of 2 flying schools. Many ga and also sport aircraft are hangered here. Watch out for the swamp at either end of the runway.... quite a few aircraft over the years have landed there by accident! Redcliffe is also notorious for crosswinds which can make takeoffs and landings interesting at this airport.Caboolture is a wonderful little grass strip about 10 minutes flying north of Redcliffe. The airstrip dates back to WWII and is the home of a strong warbird/vintage aircraft restoration industry, 3 flying schools, a glider club and also a large ultralight fraternity. Caboolture can be a busy little airport on the weekends and a Vintage GA aircraft spotters paradise!

Groom Lake Area 51 (NV51) Download

File Description:
Secret Military base in Rachel, Nevada where supposed to be a secret underground part that studies and test airplanes and other flying craft. It also is known to do outer space things and has several alien in there base. This base was redone with satelite images with exact apron, runway, taxiway, lighting and parking. I redid this from TJ Synkral's Area 51 and used everything that was not included in his. I also added the helicopter area. This is sutable for AI with what ever airline you want. I recommend getting the Janet Airlines AI and regular aircraft you can fly on FlightSim.com It might be here on avsim, im not sure. Enjoy I would like to ask if anyone could redo this with buildings on it where it is on the background satelite i would like that

Middle Brother Mt., NSW- TV tower Download

File Description:
On the mid-north coast of New South Wales, approximately half-way between Taree in the south and Port Macquarie in the north, are three mountains, named by Captain James Cook in 1770 when he navigated up the east coast of Australia. They are South Brother, Middle Brother and North Brother - the latter also known locally as "Laurieton Mountain". In the late 1950's - early 1960's, when rural television coverage was being introduced, a transmitter tower was placed on the summit of Middle Brother. As I come from that area I decided that it was time that Middle Brother had its tower placed upon it. So here it is. It's not an exact replica as it uses an embedded default FS2004 image, but at least you do not need any additional graphics.

Australian Lighthouses - Part 5 - Western Australia Download

File Description:
Around Australia's coastline there are over 350 lighthouses. I received a suggestion a month ago asking if I would do the locations of the lighthouses down the coast of New South Wales and when I did a bit of research I thought, why not do the whole 36,735 kilometres around Australia? Here is Part 6 - the lighthouses located on the coastline of Western Asutralia - the first landfall for the early European explorers and many decades before Captain James Cook encountered the Great South Land. Some installations no longer exist but I have included several (not all of them) for those of us who like historical and period flying. If it was there in 1935, it's there in this package! There is a Read Me included. No third-party content is required.

Bettles PABT in Alaska Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Bettles is around 175 miles north of Fairbanks in ALaska, and 25 miles north of the Arctic Circle. It is also where James "Andy" Andersen started flying for Wien Airlines and where he spent the 20 years between 1947 and 1967. Read "Arctic Bush Pilot" by Andy and Jim Rearden for his story of those 20 years flying the bush. Bettles PABT is the gravel strip and due to the limitations of FS9 AI the float base on the adjacent river has to be separately named PABX. Bettles village (old Bettles) used to be 2 miles southwest of the field, but has now slowly relocated close to the strip. In this download there is an AFCAD folder, landclass folders, a scenery folder, and a traffic folder. You will need Ultimate Terrain Alaska Canada.

Eastmain River CZEM in northern Quebec, Canada Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Eastmain River is on the south bank of the river of the same name, close to the eastern shore of James Bay at it's southern end. Moosonee is around 110 miles to the southwest, and Waskaganish (my post October 2010) just 50 miles to the south. The town has a population of around 770 who are mostly Cree speakers. The airport is just to the south of the town with a gravel runway just over 3,500 feet long and aligned 02/20; there is no PAPI and there is no fuel available, unless there is some in drums. There are flights by Air Creebec and Wasaya; their textures are available for download on Flightsim and the planes are as listed in the AI folder. The AI bgl is for both CYAT and CZEM; don't think I have included the wrong one.
