B-25 Pilot Interactive Training Manual

File Description:
This html add-on requires the PTM included on either the B-25J 'Briefing Time' CD or the B-25J Multi-Media CD, both from the Mid-Atlantic Air Museum www.maam.org. Adds an interactive index and table of contents, as well as navigation hot-spots to each page of the PILOT TRAINING MANUAL FOR THE MITCHELL BOMBER B-25, AAF Manual No. 50-11, 1 APR 45. This add-on makes the manual much more convenient to use.

Four Tutorials

File Description:
A series of four tutorials in which we will learn how to install new scenery via the FS9 Scenery Library; download and install new AI aircraft; add these new aircraft to the Aircraft.txt file in Traffic Tools; and, finally, create a simple flight plan within the Ttools Flight Plans.txt file. UsageLog

File Description:
UsageLog.zip contains a program called AircraftUsageLog.exe which will show your hours of usage for each powered aircraft in FS9 any time you run it. It lists the hours per aircraft in a window. You choose the order by clicking on a column header. The Update feature will also list hours flown since the last time the program was run. This download can be placed anywhere in your system. It creates the folder "AircraftUsageLog" that contains several files. All are required for proper operation. You must edit the .ini file to list the paths to your two Aircraft folders as described in the instructions.

Instructions for building a replacement USB-DB15 Dongle for MS Sidewinder Joysticks

File Description:

My neighbor recently gave me a Microsoft SideWinder Precison Pro Joystick. Unfortuately, they had lost the DB15 to USB dongle (photo of dongle on the left)that connected the joystick to the USB port. This zip file contains a word document (.doc) which describes how you can build an equivalent dongle for just a few dollars. A parts list, photos of the completed assembly and a wiring diagram are included. Some elementary skill with a soldering iron is required.

Paper Airplane

File Description:
25 foot long gmax paper airplane with the Schweizr 2-32 files. Will do 400+ knots in a steep dive, but starts to become unstable around 275-280. No animations, no panel, very simple visual model, only 50 polys. Fun to fly especially in tower view.

FS 2004 Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches Volume 22. I am constantly amazed by the high number of simers that restrict their flying activities to small localized areas, never venturing much further than their own backyards. I can't help thinking that these simers miss out on some truly great flying experiences by confining themselves to such limited parameters. If nothing else, Doherty's Difficult and Dangerous Approaches will get you out more! Whether you are simply a local pilot flying within your own well-worn neighbourhood, or a demanding adventurous international aviator, there's something for everyone in these volumes.
