| Severe Engine Fire Effects for FS2004 |
|
File Description:
These effects files (activated by the smoke system) allow you to visually simulate a severe engine fire on the eighteen default aircraft, as well as six non-default, freeware add-on aircraft including Milton Shupe's Beechcraft D-18s and Howard 500, Edward Cook's Vickers Wellington, Bob Chicilo's A6M2 Zero and TBF-1 Avenger (default CFS2 aircraft updated for use in FS9), and Gary Herbert's B-17G "Lazy Lucy". (No aircraft are included in this file) Hope you Like them! By Joe Latarski (Note: These are the same effects as before, I have only changed my contact info so I can continue to support them)

| ILS 16 Patch for LOWS 2006 |
|
File Description:
The standard files of Microsoft Flight Simulator are not accurate for the ILS approach on runway 16 in Salzburg/Austria (LOWS). This leads to erratic flight procedures of the AI traffic and errors in flight plans with destination LOWS (W.A. Mozart Airport). GPS does not recognize this ILS properly.
A fellow designer and member of the newly established "design team" headed by "gianni" -Gerhard Blaim- has carefully reworked the relevant data structure. "design team" now offers a file to solve the described bugs for free use for private purposes at own risk of each user of "LOWS_2006" (freeware).
Tested in FS9.1 with "LOWS 2006" under WindowsXP.

| Active Approach - LOWI (Innsbruck, Austria) |
|
File Description:
As most know the Approach and Final (VMC) for AI Traffic in FS9 is a straight in type landing and does not always consider high terrain at airports. This is do to the way that the coding is written in FS9 and it puts limits on IFR arriving aircraft. If you open runways at certain airports the AI Traffic will fly directly through a mountain once it is established on Final for a runway. What you will see with my file is a different type approach used for the way I control AI Traffic in FS9. No longer do the AI Planes use a straight in approach when landing at LOWI. My new AI Aircraft Approach coding for FS9 now uses a base leg approach so AI Traffic does not fly through the mountains. The Innsbruck Control Tower will clear all AI Traffic (IFR FP) landing either on 08 and 26 as a straight in landing even though the offset to final is 30 degrees from the runway center line. My testing shows excellent behavior of the FS9 default models, PAI models and the Aardvark planes of all sizes to execute this new type of visual approach. Read the text file for all the default enhancements added to LOWI along with a full understanding of how the new Approaches work *** Full set of Approach Charts included plus a FS2004 Default Scenery AFCAD ***

| Active ILS - LEBL Simwings/New Spanish Airports (El Prat - Barcelona Airport) |
|
File Description:
This file is made for Barcelona LEBL Aerosoft/Simwings FS9's New Spanish Airports. As most know initiating the ILS at certain airports for AI Traffic or the User Aircraft is not a function at this time when using AFCAD2. If you add a new ILS runway to an airport such as LEBL (El Prat/Barcelona 7R/25L) only the user aircraft can use this runway (without ATC commands) when visibility falls below 3 miles. ATC will no longer use this runway for AI Traffic because FS9 sees it as a visual runway. This will cause ATC to vector all your AI Traffic back to runway 7/25 old numbers, 7L/25R new numbers which is also a Terminal departure runway. This ILS bgl file adds all NAVAIDS for making 7R/25L a Precision Instrument Runway by adding all the radar fixes for both the ILS approach portion and the missed approach procedures, altitudes and intersections as per current published plates. All AI Aircraft/User Planes will now continue to use the new 7R/25L runway when Airport weather conditions are less than 3 miles. ATC will also use the right naming/numbers of the runways. The DME/VOR approaches have also been written using the new BCN/PRA VOR's for runways 7L/25R and 02. Many different default FS9 scenery GUID's added including Taxiway Signs. *** FS2004 Simwings Barcelona Scenery AFCAD2 included with the new 7R/25L runway ***

| Finally, the "Perfect Landing" ? - Make It Into a Screen Saver! |
|
File Description:
Just made the "perfect landing" and want to make a Screen Saver of it? The documents in this file will show you how to do it and where to download the required programs. It's easy and it's fun. Compiled by David "Opa" Marshall for your flying enjoyment. Tested in FS2004 and on an XPHome OS. Once again my thanks to the great folks in the Avsim General Duscussion Forum for pointing me in the right direction to find the proper programs to use. The program can be used to capture any portion of virtually any game (it is not limited to use in FS2004) and allow you to create a screen saver from your capture.

| C-130 Cargo Air Drop FX |
|
File Description:
These FX files allow you to drop a number of palletized cargo loads from the C-130. Editing the included text insert (door location) for the aircraft.cfg file will allow them to be dropped from any other plane of your choosing as well.
I no longer have FS2002 so was unable to test this with that FS version.
I wish to thank Mr. Pierino Primavesi for his kind permission in allowing me to modify the FX files he made for his Luftwaffe version of the JU-52. Visit his site at: http://www.ju52-3m.ch/ for more of the latest updates for the Junkers JU-52. Payware quality for free. You can't go wrong.
Enjoy!

| Real World Flight Plans for B767 |
|
File Description:
The two files contain real world B767- 200/300/400 flight plans taken over two 3 day periods, one in August 2003, and the other during March 2004, which originated in, terminated in or passed through UK Airspace. Duplicate routes have been removed from the list, though there may be duplicate city pairs where different routes were flown.
The format of the file is suitable for use by FSBuild and may be included as a Category of flight plans. Alternatively, the route portion may be copied and pasted into the FSBuild route field.
The flight plans from 2003 will need validation as there have been significant changes to airways since they were created.

| Active ILS - KATL v1.0 (Hartsfield Jackson Atlanta International Airport) |
|
File Description:
As most know initiating the ILS at certain airports for AI Traffic is not a function at this time when using AFCAD2. If you add a new ILS runway to an airport such as KATL (10/28) only the user aircraft can use this runway when visibility falls below 3 miles. ATC will no longer use this runway for AI Traffic because FS9 sees it as a visual runway. This will cause ATC to vector your AI Traffic back to 9R/27L which is also a South Cargo/Ramp Departure Runway. There are many additional Scenery Buildings, 274 Jetways and new Terminals (as per current Contractor plans) added to version 1.0. See the readme.txt file for additional details.

| Aero Commander Aerobatic Flight NZ |
|
File Description:
A .frc data file to use with Matthias Neusinger's flight recording module (found free at: http://www.neusinger.net/recorder ). With this, you can load my flight recording, and either appear as my aircraft doing the recorded manoeuvres, or fly along side as AI traffic and watch my aircraft appear as AI traffic itself.
This flight is a recreation of a video I saw on youtube at http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=9ZBcapxGHjE where the pilot takes a Aero Commander AC560 (requires Milton Shurpe's model) up to 8000 feet, then cuts the engine and nose dives, increasing airspeed enough to pull a loop and then a horizontal role, then leverling off, and landing at Woodbourne airport (NZWB)
