CF-220 Grizzly (Effects Correction): Includes easy-to-follow instructions on how to configure any panel chosen to be used with the CF-220 Grizzly, in order to have working afterburner and sonic boom effects. The effects files included with the original upload will not work without the original panel, hence this correction has been developed to resolve the problem.

Reno P-51 Mustang Effects

File Description:
Effects for GMAX P-51 D "Reno" Mustang. (Original design: Roger L. Dial. Flight Dynamics © Steve Small FSD. Sounds © Mike Hambly 6/2002.) As flown in FS2004. Effects include Air- Show style colored smoke ("I") key. New start-up smoke, individual exhaust-stack flames in four phases: orange start-up, soft blue @ idle, more flame @ cruise, even more @ max power. Flame size and brightness controlled by XML gauge using throttle position. Also wingtip vortex controlled by XML gauge using "G" force. Runway tire marks w/ optional "chirp" sound. Installation is manual but easy.

File Description:

T-38A Talon Afterburner Effects

File Description:
Afterburner effects for FSD T-38A Talon to be flown in FS2004. Revised from 2002 version, still uses "afterburner" key. This version has XML control of flaptip and wingtip vortices, and "burner" smoke with optional "whooom" sound at ignition of afterburner. New afterburner flames w/panel indicator. Runway tire marks w/ optional "chirp" sound. Custom contrail (very long). Custom jet startup effects w/ optional "heat" shimmer. Installation is manual but easy. W/aircraft.cfg info for optional speed increase (Mach 1.5). "Whooom" sound is in separate D/L, look for WHOOM_FX.zip.

DHC-2 Beaver Special Effects Smoke

File Description:
Automatically displays a very faint exhaust smoke trail from the DHC-2 Beaver when air temperature drops below 23F/-5C. You'll know it's cold when you see the smoke trail! Works with the DHC-2 wheeled Beaver for FS2004 by Steven Grant, Fred Choate, Aaron Swindle. File available in the AVSIM Library-- dhc2_04w.zip -- Also works with the DHC-2 DeHavilland Beaver Amphibian v2 that was made for FS2002, but works equally well in FS2004. Available in the AVSIM Library-- dhc2ampv2.zip --. Thanks to Jan Rosenberg for the dc2_fx Effects for the default DC3 and the explanation of how this works.

F- 16 New Aero-Dynamic Effects

File Description:
FS2004 New Aero-Dynamic effects for Kirk Olsson's fabulous F-16. Thanks Kirk! Designed for use with (and requires) the file "AB_F16_.zip" available in library. Includes a smoke-trail when afterburner is "on", wingtip vortex at high "G", and strake/wing vapor-cloud at high "G" and below 9900 ft. Controlled by invisible XML gauges with independently adjustable "G" force parameters (2, 3, or 4 "G"). Also includes optional "whoom" sound. Uses manual installation with all new filenames.

Severe Engine Fire Effects for FS2004

File Description:
These effects files (activated by the smoke system) allow you to visually simulate a severe engine fire on the eighteen default aircraft, as well as six non-default, freeware add-on aircraft including Milton Shupe's Beechcraft D-18s and Howard 500, Edward Cook's Vickers Wellington, Bob Chicilo's A6M2 Zero and TBF-1 Avenger (default CFS2 aircraft updated for use in FS9), and Gary Herbert's B-17G "Lazy Lucy". Special Effects for Default DC-3.

File Description:
FS2004 Special effects for default DC-3. Customized engine startup smoke and high altitude contrails are now enabled by MS for use on each aircraft, jet or prop, single or multi-engine, by using the FS9 version of the aircraft.cfg's [EFFECTS] section to specify them. The temperature below which the contrails occur can also be defined in aircraft.cfg by the user. DC-3 startup smoke, contrails, and tire- mark (14" wide) are included in the d/l. Also fixes wrong prop rotation; has more scrape points/effects for bellylandings. Easy manual installation with all new filenames.
