Creating Icons & Popup Windows - an Illustrated Tutorial. Have you ever wanted to add an icon to a panel which will "call" a pop-up window displaying a picture or chart or a gauge which is not already available? This step by step illustrated tutorial will show you how to accomplish that task. No programming knowledge is required - just a little patience. All necessary files are included. If I can can do it, anyone can. Just unzip to a folder of you choice and enjoy. This procedure has been tested in FS2004 only. | 82nd Airborne FX - Desert Camo |

File Description:
By request, this FX is for my friends in the Army Airborne and those serving over in Iraq.
These FX files allow you to drop a number of camouflaged paratroopers from the DC-3, JU-52, DeHaviland Otter, and now the C-130. Editing the included text insert (door location) for the aircraft.cfg file will allow them to jump from any other plane of your choosing as well.
I no longer have FS2002 so was unable to test this with that FS version.
I wish to thank Mr. Pierino Primavesi for his kind permission in allowing me to modify the FX files he made for his Luftwaffe version of the JU-52. Visit his site at: http://www.ju52-3m.ch/ for more of the latest updates for the Junkers JU-52. Payware quality for free. You can't go wrong.

Tips and Tricks - Part 13. This issue, the first of the Fall 2005 season, attempts to dispel the notion that you can become "bored" with FS2004. Numerous recommendations for new and different things to do and audition are included as well as the usual assortment of "How-To's", links to useful sites, and much, much more. A new feature is a "From the Mailbag" segment where we try to answer a question of general interest submitted by a reader. Updated indexes by John Burford in .xls (Excel) and .pdf formats for the entire series are included. There is also a group of BONUS files which I believe you will enjoy using. PMDG 737NG ONLY. This is a sample flight I wrote in step-by-step format in WordPad. It's from KPHX to KSLC and includes FMC programming. Written with intention for those who don't have experience with complex Boeing add on aircraft, and just want to get in the air properly and land. Please use the other tutorials available and PMDG manuals. They will teach you how to handle the various systems of the plane, including SIDs and STARs.

| Fix for PSS Airbus Missing ATC and Landing Gear |

File Description:
This is a 3rd party fix (and thus unsupported by PSS)for the PSS Airbus series. This will allow users who experienced a loss of FS ATC functions and/or were unable to raise and lower the landing gear to regain these functions. It is a simple gauge that can be closed after aircraft start up to ensure that the FS electrical system is operative. Please read the instructions carefully, as instant support cannot be garunteed.

This is an NDB approach for those interested in the ability to get into Auke Lake, Alaska, which, is not currently served by an instrument approach (IAP). This is a small lake, located nearby Juneau International airport, which has a number of private floatplanes based at it.
The area is a very mountainous region and with an NDB station nearby, it would be a shame not to be able to get in when the weather goes down.

| Puzzle - "B17 - Flying Fortress" poster, Microprose, 1992. |

File Description:
Back in the late 1980's and through to the mid 1990's, Microprose published a bagful of enormously popular combat simulations for the PC and Amiga platforms. In 1992 they released "B17 Flying Fortress" to critical acclaim. This 414-piece puzzle depicts the advertising poster that was issued for retailers to display in their stores. The puzzle runs straight from the file and installation or other files are not required. A ReadMe with the simple instructions is included.
