VFR Silk Route

File Description:
The historic (1st century BC up to the 15th century) Silk Routes followed several different (northern and southern) tracks, mainly between Istanbul, Turkey and Xi'An, China, the centre of the Chinese silk industry. The 46 VFR flight plans link the centre of the European silk industry, Lyon, France, to Xi'An, and back via a different route. Such historic routes deserve to be flown with a classic plane: the FS 2004 default Lockheed Vega! Download and install Winfried Orthmann's chinaairports_version_2.zip. In fact, a large part of the flight plans cannot be executed without his scenery.

PMDG SIDSTARS Update for KMDW Chicago Midway Intl

File Description:
Cycle 0603 PMDG SIDSTAR file by Terry Yingling revised 3/27/2006 by Dan Downs for KMDW Chicago-Midway Intl. All SID, STAR and ILS procedures edited as required to comply with current charts. Added I55 Visual Approach Rwy 13C to supplement poor default scenery in area with approach fixes; however, a right 90-deg turn to a short 2.2nm final adds a touch of difficulty. Missing DPs CISRO2 & MDW4 added with all enroute transitions. Minor updates to STARS and ILS approaches done to ensure compliance with current charts. All procedures originally distributed in Cycle 0603, including those not modified, are included in this file.

UPDATE! to bcpa1948.zip - BCPA Vancouver to Sydney, 1948

File Description:
BCPA1948.ZIP refers. This update will provide you with some relevant scenery items on Canton Island and will also place the *two* mid-ocean NDB’s between Honolulu and San Francisco that actually existed back then....not the single unit provided in the original upload. The Flight Plan and Saved Flight state have been updated to suit and new PLN, WX and FLT files are included. Please read the enclosed DOC file for complete installation instructions and necessary information and please remember that you should download and install Jens Kristensen's DC-4 (dc4_v10.zip) and Wayne Tudor's BCPA livery (bcpa_dc4.zip) before running this flight.

UAL Flight 928

File Description:
This is a reenactment for the Boeing B777-200 United Airlines flight 928 from Chicago KORD to Heathrow EGLL. NOTE: This file is aimed at users of the PSS B777 ONLY!!! Any 777 user can use this file, but I adjusted the loadouts to fit the LR, since the bird in the movie is NOT an LR model, so weights and fuel were different. I will also be publishing other reenactments for Just Planes and ITVV videos. If you like this, you can also check out my Leisure 767 reenactment from the wonderful ITVV video, also here on AVSIM. Frigate Bird II - The Return Flight

File Description:
By 1951 the final ocean to be traversed for air travel was the South Pacific between Australia and South America. On 13 March 1951 Cpt. P.G. Taylor set off from the flying boat base at Rose Bay in Sydney with a crew of four and arrived in Valparaiso on 26th. March. (see fbird_51.zip for this outward flight). The return flight - which is represented by this file - was made on 4th. April 1951 with the Frigate Bird II arriving home to Sydney on 21st. April. The aircraft was subsequently presented to Captain Taylor by the then Prime Minister, Sir Robert Menzies, in recognition of the first air-crossing of the South Pacific Ocean and other pioneering flights.

Atlanta Hartsfield Intl (KATL) RNAV Support

File Description:
This package includes 58 waypoints missing from the original FS2004, but required to be able to fly current RNAV (GPS)departure Procedures (DPs) and Standard Terminal Arrival Routes (STARs).
