Ansett Flying Boat Services - Rose Bay to Hayman Island - 1962

File Description:
An historic Flight which utilises the Short Sandringham created by Jens Kristensen, this time in the 1970's livery of Ansett Flying Boat Services. A special set of textures has been created specifically for the Ansett version and is included with this package, together with instructions on its simple installation. Ansett Flying Boat Services ran scheduled flights between Rose Bay and Hayman Island, in the Whitsunday Island area of Queenslands Great Barrier Reef. These flights usually departed Rose Bay on a Sunday morning, with the trip taking about five-and-a-half hours. Holiday-makers arrived at their destination with a complete week ahead of them and returning passengers were back back in Sydney on Sunday evening, ready for work the next day! File Description:
An historic Flight which utilises the Short Sandringham created by Jens Kristensen, this time in the 1970's livery of Ansett Flying Boat Services. A special set of textures has been created specifically for the Ansett version and is included with this package, together with instructions on its simple installation. As well as the few scheduled flights operated by Ansett to Hayman and Lord Howe Islands, Ansett also operated charter flights, usually for special-interest groups. One that I recall was to Lake Eucumbene, in the Snowy Mountains, for the Australian Aviation Historical Society and it is that flight which is reproduced here. Full installation instructions are included.

File Description:
A Flight created for Flight Simulator 2004 and which utilises the Short Sandringham created by Jens Kristensen, this time in the 1970's livery of Ansett Flying Boat Services. A special set of textures has been created specifically for the Ansett version and is included with this package, together with instructions on its simple installation. Ansett Flying Boat Services ran scheduled flights between Rose Bay and Lord Howe Island, a very popular tourist destination, particularly with honeymooners. These flights usually departed Rose Bay on a Sunday, with the trip taking about two-and-a-half hours. This allowed for new holiday-makers to arrive at their destination with a complete week ahead of them and, at the same time, for returning passengers to arrive back in Sydney on Sunday evening, ready for work the next day! Installation instructions are included.

Night Over Water - A Flight / Adventure Based on the Ken Follett Novel

File Description:
I have no intention of giving away the storyline but the synopsis is that three days after Britain declares war on Germany, the Pan American Airways Boeing B314 “Clipper” service from Southampton to New York departs Britain - possibly for the last time. The route takes the aircraft from Southampton Water to Foynes, in Eire, then across the Atlantic to Botwood and Shediac (Canada) and - we assume - eventually to New York. You will captain this fabulous aeroplane from Southampton, departing at 2:00 PM on Wednesday 6th. September 1939. Your name, incidentally, is Baker. Marvin Baker. Shaken, not stirred and with a twist of lemon.

England to Australia, 1938

File Description:
Fly from London to Sydney by QANTAS S.23 'Empire' Class flying boat in May, 1938. Both Imperial Airways and QANTAS served the England-Australia route in the 1930's and they utilised the Short S.23 'C-class' (or 'Empire' class) flying boat. This re-enactment is exactly as it was in the 1938 QANTAS timetable. Please refer to the included DOC file for complete details on the exact route, departure and arrival times, legs flown each day, and even the hotels in which you stay overnight. Created for FS2004 by Bruce Kennewell December 2005.

TEAL - Auckland to Chatham Island - November 1952

File Description:
In the 1950's TEAL were operating a flying-boat service to Chatham Island, out to the east of New Zealand in the South Pacific. This flight is set in November 1952 and takes you from the TEAL base in Mechanic's Bay, Auckland, to the island. Your navigation is by NDB's across the north island of New Zealand and then by dead-reckoning until within radio distance of the NDB on Chatham Island. Your aircraft is the Short Solent IV and, if you do not have this aircraft in your FSim library, look for it under Jens Kristensen and/or Short. Enjoy the flight and keep an eye out for a further TEAL episode in TEAL's history when I publish the Coral Route, currently being flight-tested.

PMDG 737 London Heathrow flight plans

File Description:
