Air Rhodesia was originally formed as a subsidiary of Central African Airways in June 1964, but became an independent corporation on September 1, 1967. This V.748D (C/N 100) was built for CAA as VP-YNC and first flew on Thursday, 24 May 1956. In 1979 it was painted in grey anti-missile livery after a SAM attack on Viscount VP-YND (C/N 101), and fitted with deflectors on the engine jet pipes to try and prevent a SAM missile from locking on using its heat sensors. In conjunction with special operational procedures when climbing and descending, they achieved the desired safety effect: no more aircraft were lost to missile attacks. Model Features include fully animated control surfaces, fully independent suspension, main gear steering, trim animation, opening passenger doors, opening cargo doors, dynamic flexing wings, animated tilting bogies, rolling wheels, animated thrust reversers, fully reflective textures ( each part has different degree of reflection based on material ), accurate flight dynamics ( accurate FDE with full profiles for wheels, tires, struts, leading/trailing struts, engine types ... Tested by real pilots.), newly re-defined individual part damage profiles, accurate spoiler animation, detailed textures, full night lighting, visible landing lights from the cockpit, reflective cockpit windows, crash effects, transparent nav light lenses, newly re-defined individual part damage profiles. File Description:
C-47 ITALIAN AIR FORCE - Based on repaint templates by Mark Beaumont and original textures by Jan Visser, this texture set, in Italian Air Force livery, requires the base DC-3 package available from Mid Atlantic Air Museum Simulations (MAAM-SIM) at www.maam.org. Installation instructions are included. This aircraft belonged to 'Reparto Volo' (flying group) of the Rome Zone's Air Force Command (Comando 2a Regione Aerea). This plane operated from Guidonia's Airport, near Rome during 60'. Repaint by Manuele Villa.

ONE FOR THE GIRLS!!!....Women fly F-15's too.....The pilot in this one is my fiancee Donna....The third and final of three repaints....This one is of a fictitious Hawaii Air National Guard aggressor unit "The Sharks"....I like this one the best of the bunch, as I had a lot of fun creating this one....The shark on this F-15 is "BAM-BAM"....So watch out guys, "BAM-BAM" is a real troublemaker....especially with Donna at the controls....Original Payware F-15 C/D Eagle required from IRIS Simulations....

I was contacted some time back by some Canadian simmers looking for a rendition of an Air Canada Boeing 767-200 in the "Maple Leaf" 2 red cheat line livery of the early 1990's. I had been wanting a reason to repaint the Project Opensky Boeing 767 V4 model, so this was my chance. Sadly, Air Canada retired the last 767-200 from service in 2008. This particular airframe, the 5th 767 delivered to Air Canada, was retired around 2002.
This is a detailed repaint with custom textures. All windows are custom, hand-painted, 3D with window shades. The night textures are custom as well. The stewardess is a former Miss Canada, the interior exit signs are in French (SORTIE) and the pushback tug even bears the old Air Canada logos. The repainted textures in this package are 32-bit with no mipmaps for best clarity and quality. I hope you enjoy flying this wonderful aircraft as much as I did creating it. A special thanks to Lorne Jordan who suggested this repaint and supported me on getting it 'just right.' This is a complete install and contains all Project Opensky provided files current to Version 2004.8.0. The sound is from the default B737.
