P-38L Lightning "Ruff Stuff" N79123

File Description:
This is a repaint only for the SkyUnlimited P-38L Lightning. This airplane, owned by Ron Fagen, just finished an extensive rebuild by Fagen's Warhawks Inc. of Granite Falls, Minnesota and became the fourth currently flying P-38 in the world. Making its first air show appearance at EAA Airventure 2007, the aircraft was completed in the markings of Norb Ruff's P-38G "Ruff Stuff". Norb Ruff, a Wisconsin native, completed 50 combat missions in the original "Ruff Stuff" during WWII, based in the south Pacific, operating with the 80th FS, 8th FG, "The Headhunters". This repaint replicates a wide assortment of details, from a full set of factory stencils to inspection stickers on every removable panel, hand painted nose art and more, matching the real example in nearly every way possible.

Standard Telephone and Cables Limited Douglas DC-3

File Description:
Corporate owned DC-3 G-AJRY. In October 1962 the aircraft was purchased by the International Telegraph Corporation of the United Kingdom. On 19 November 1962 upon transfer to the UK she was allocated a new identity G-ASDX. The British ARB then noticed that the constructor's number for G-AJRY was the same as this new aircraft and assuming that G-AJRY had returned to the UK gave it that registration instead of G-ASDX! The aircraft worked under a subsidiary company Standard Telephones and Cables Ltd. STC had for many years been a leading supplier of airborne radio equipment to Armed Forces and commercial Airlines world-wide. In June 1970 it was sold to TD Keegan and was operated by Transmeridian Air Cargo. Requires default Douglas DC-3.

Monarch Airlines Airbus A330-243 NC (G-EOMA)

File Description:
I am proud to present the Project Opensky A330-200 in the stately NC livery of Monarch Airlines. Monarch is based in Luton, England and is one of the UK's largest charter airlines, servicing destinations in Europe, the United States, the Caribbean and Africa. It also operates regular scheduled service to several destinations. Its operates princially out of Birmingham, Luton, Gatwick and Manchester. Monarch operates 2 A330-200's. This one is registration G-EOMA. The other Monarch A332 wears registration G-SMAN. I paid attention to detail and realism as much as my talents allow and generated this repaint with sharply painted details. This is a complete install; the Project Opensky updated version 2004.8.3 A330 model and air files are included. Uses default panel and sounds. This repaint is dedicated to Ben Hickford.

Janus Airwas Viscount 708 G-ARGR

File Description:
Janus Airways of Lydd in Kent bought the three remaining Viscount 700 series from BAF who had taken over Inter City Airlines. Only two entered service and spent the summer season 1984 on coach air services across the English Channel. They were the last two passenger V.700 in the UK. In fact this aircraft made the last ever V.700 flight from and to the UK with a round trip from Lydd to Beauvais on 30th October 1984. Bought to suppliment Heralds already in use it was decided at the end of the year not to continue with the Viscounts and both were sold to MMM Aero Services of Zaire. This aircraft was broken up in Kinshasa in January 1987. Requires the FSDS Viscount 700 model by Rick Piper

East African Express DC-9-14 '5Y-XXB'

File Description:
SGA DC-9-14 as used by East African Express, a regional spin-off of defunct East African Safari of Kenya. This DC-9 rolled off the Long Beach assembly line way back in 1966 for delivery to Air Canada as CF-TLB. Subsequently it was operated by Hawaiian Airlines (N13699), Southern Airways (under the same registration), Finnair (OH-LYC), British Midland (retaining the Finnish rego) before it came back 'Stateside for a stint with All Star Airlines as N85AS. In 1986 it was added to the DC-9-intensive fleet of Midwest Express, where it served until 2004 as N500ME. Textures only for the SGA DC-9-10 (not included). Fuselage, wings, engines and tail unit in 32-bit textures. All mip-maps evicted by the landlord.

Lufthansa Boeing 767-3Z9/ER (Star Alliance)

File Description:
D-ABUV (cn 731), version 1. After the United Airlines 'Star Alliance' scheme, I figured I'd might as well tackle all of the Star Alliance Boeing 767 's, starting with this Lufthansa bird. This particular plane was delivered to Lauda Air in 98' and was leased by Lufthansa for a short period of time (only one year). It went back to Lauda after the lease expired and can now be seen in Austrian's Star Alliance scheme. I customized the stock kit, adding depress. panels, rivets, and as always, the paint job is weathered and worn. See the first screenshot for reference. Pilatus PC-7 Turbo Trainer HB-HMP 1986 livery

File Description:
One Pilatus demonstrator in 1986 livery.The Pilatus PC7 Turbo Trainer originally flew on April 12 1966, this initial version was essentially a modified Pilatus P3 with a 550SHP PW&C PT6A-20 Turboprop, and failed to attract any sales until 1975 when the PC7 appeared with the PT6A-25 engine (of 650SHP) and a whole host of improvements. Since that time the PC7 has proven to be a capable trainer, and has since been superseded by the more capable PC9, and recently the PC-21, however the PC7 still continues to serve well in the training role of various air force's worldwide. This model has been fully constructed with FSDS v2.11 and it uses many common parts from my Pilatus PC9 Project (@ www.aussim.com). Textures only, requires original aircraft by David Friswell to www.aussim.com .

USAAF B-24D "Kate Smith" 98th Bomb Group, 9th AAF

File Description:
"Kate Smith" 42-40991 was a B-24D-120-CO which came off the production lines of Consolidated, San Diego. The art work depicts American Singer Kate Smith's theme song, "When the Moon Comes Over the Mountain". This ship was flown by the 1Lt James A Deeds to Ploesti on August 1, 1943. While taking part in the disasterous 98th BG attack on the Astra Romana-Phoenix Orion refinery complex, it took a direct hit in the cockpit area over the target at an estimated 250 ft of altitude. The aircraft caught fire in the bomb bay area and exploded mid-air. Miraculously, the copilot, 2Lt Clifton Foster was blown clear of the disintergrating aircraft and was able to open his parachute. Taken prisoner, he was the only survivor of the ten man crew.

Orion Airways Boeing 737-2T5adv 'G-BHVI'

File Description:
Orion Airways repaint for the excellent tinmouse 737-200adv package. This repaint represents G-BHVI - interestingly Boeings 737th 737. Orion where a charter airline, somthing to do with intasun, and kicked off in the early 1980's before being swallowed up by Brittania in the late 80's early 90's. Excellent livery i think in gold, orange and chocolate brown! Much missed. I used a lot of photos found online, along with images of logos, sick bags, and anything i could get my virtual hands on, as this also seems quite a forgotten airline in the virtual world just like air europe - if not more so!...Painted with the excellent tinmouse paintkit - 32bit. Textures only! You must have the Tinmouse 737-200adv v2 base package available here at AVSIM
