East African Airways Comet 4 VP-KPJ Download

File Description:
EAA was jointly owned by the governments of Kenya, Uganda and Tanzania. Working closely with BOAC and needing an effective aircraft to operate opposite BOAC Comets made the airline an early puchaser of the type. This aircraft VP-KPJ, one of two ordered in 1958, was the first to be delivered in July 1960 and inaugerated the Nairobi-London service. So sucessful was the type that a third was soon ordered and the fleet increased to four when a BOAC example was taken on lease. Super VC 10's were ordered to relace the Comets from autumn 1966 but the type soldiered on right up until February 1971 using a leased Dan Air aircraft. VP-KPJ which had become 5X-AAO in April 1964 was found to be suffering from corrosion and was sold to Dan Air for spares in Nov 1970. Requires the DH 106 Comet 4 model by David Maltby

Cambrian Airways Douglas DC3's Download

File Description:
Cambrian Airways roots extend back to 1935 when Cambrian Air Services was founded at Pengham Moor airfield, Cardiff to provide flight training and pleasure flights. Operations were suspended upon the outbreak of war in 1939 but resumed again in January 1946. Operations grew steadily and DH Rapide and Dove aircraft were added to the fleet. A move to Rhoose Airport in 1954 allowed Cambrian to consider the purchase of larger aircraft. In November 1954, the first Dakota was delivered with the second arriving in January 1955. With the introduction of Dakotas, Cambrian Air Services changed its name to Cambrian Airways in May 1955. Over the years Cambrian owned ten different DC3's having a maximum of eight of the type on fleet at any one time and six remained in service with them until the type was retired in 1969. This set of repaints shows seven of the different airfames in five different liveries that were used during Cambrian's operation of the type.

Air New Zealand Airbus A320-232 (ZK-OJG) with Lighting Effects and Updated FDE Download

File Description:
I am proud to present this Project Airbus A320-232, registration ZK-OJG, in Air New Zealand livery. This airframe was delivered to ANZ in March of 2004 and is operated by Zeal 320 Ltd for ANZ. This project would not have resulted in such an accurate and detailed repaint had it not had been for the kind and talented Grayson Ottaway Of Tauranga NZ. He inspired this repaint from the beginning and was the best at giving feedback on changes we needed to make this repaint look just like the real thing. This full installation package includes the Project Airbus A320 model and air files, a modified FDE (with permission from Peter Binamira of Project Airbus), A320 lighting enhancements and 32-bit textures. Uses default 737-400 panel and sounds. Please see Install.txt for installation details. I want to dedicate this repaint to VATSIM NZ and to all of the simmers and aviators in the magical land that is New Zealand.

Pilatus PC-7 Turbo Trainer Swiss Air Force A-926 & A-937 Download

File Description:
Aircraft in the beautiful new Swiss Air Force livery,it's the first PC-7 with the new colors, the black is the prototype to the retrofit. The Pilatus PC7 Turbo Trainer originally flew on April 12 1966, this initial version was essentially a modified Pilatus P3 with a 550SHP PW&C PT6A-20 Turboprop, and failed to attract any sales until 1975 when the PC7 appeared with the PT6A-25 engine (of 650SHP) and a whole host of improvements. Since that time the PC7 has proven to be a capable trainer, and has since been superseded by the more capable PC9, and recently the PC-21, however the PC7 still continues to serve well in the training role of various air force's worldwide. This model has been fully constructed with FSDS v2.11 and it uses many common parts from my Pilatus PC9 Project (@ www.aussim.com). Textures only, requires original aircraft by David Friswell to www.aussim.com .

South West Aviation, Douglas DC-3 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
South West Aviation started at Exeter in 1966 commencing operations with a Piper Aztec. By early 1968 the airline had grown and acquired a Shorts Skyvan on lease and had established footholds at Bristol Lulsgate and Swansea as well as Exeter. Late 1968 they acquired their first DC3 aircraft G-APBC which operated numerous charter flights within UK and to Ireland and the rest of Europe. It was used for airborne filming of the 'Torrey Canyon' and Aberfan disasters. A second DC3 G-AMYJ was acquired in 1969. Initially the DC3's carried out most of their flying from SW England and S Wales. However, in April 1969 'BC started charter operations between Norwich, Tesside and Aberdeen in support of the North Sea oil industry. 1970 saw the introduction of scheduled air services to Cherbourg from both Exeter and Southampton using the DC3. In 1972 SWA were bought out by Ashford based Air Freight Ltd and the name of South West Aviation disappeared. Requires default DC-3.

Eastern Airways, Douglas DC-3 Download

Images related to this file:

File Description:
Lease Air Ltd, trading as Eastern Airways, commenced operations in 1973. It operated various aircraft on behalf of corporate customers as well as owning a small fleet of DC-3's and went on to become a scheduled service operator with services from Humberside. In the early 1980's its scheduled air services Humberside to Heathrow via Norwich, re-introduced the DC-3 on scheduled services into Heathrow, a sight that had not been seen for some time. In 1982 the business was sold to General Relays and the operating name changed to "Genair". The company was a founder member of "British Caledonian Commuter Division". The DC-3's were replaced on scheduled services by Shorts 330/360 aircraft but remained on the fleet operating passenger and cargo charter flights until the company ceased trading in 1984. Throughout their time with the company the DC-3's remained in the Eastern Airways colours. Requires the default DC-3.
