FS2004 - USAF SC-54 dayglo MATS repaint for Jens Kristensens DC-4/C-54
This is a repaint featuring a US Air Force SC-54 in the colors of the Military Air Transport Service. This aircraft was used in search and rescue operations and wears the day glo colors typical of air force transports of the period. MATS was a joint service transportation operation combining resources from the Air Force, Army and US Navy into a single coordinated airlift command serving all military branches.
This skin requires the Jens B. Kristensen JBK DC-4 file (dc4_v21.zip) AND the C-54 cargo version (dc4cgv21.zip). These files may be found on this and other popular FS web sites. You MUST have the cargo version installed.

These are "What-If?" repaints of the payware SAAB JAS-39 Gripen by AlphaSim. I thought the Gripen would make a great low cost ANG/ADF fighter and thought it would be fun to paint it in USAF colors. This is a really enjoyable release from AlphaSim and I highly recommend it to anyone who is a fan of the Gripen. You must own a copy of the Alphasim JAS-39 Gripen to use these textures. These repaints were made with the paint kit created for the Gripen by AlphaSim. There are four textures, three for the single seat Gripen representing Houston, Texas; Jacksonville, Florida; and Klamath Falls, Oregon. Since Klamath Falls is where advanced training occurs for specific types, currently F-15s, I also include textures for a two seat variant operating out of Klamath Falls, OR. Be sure to read the read me before installing. Note: This is a re-upload.

File Description:
FS2004 USAF/MATS Convair CV-240 VBF in colors of 1952. The Convair with cn 264 was one of a bunch of T-29B-CO (CV-240-27) delivered to the U.S. Air Force September 16, 1952 and on July 15, 1953 assigned to the 1299 Transport Squadron of Military Air Transport Service (MATS). She was equipped with standard high density seating for staff transport and painted in the typically MATS livery of the early fifties. On July 13, 1956 she was converted to VC-131A standard and fitted with the weather mapping radar used extensively on the model CV-440 and on many CV-340 models. The last operator of this Convair was the 86th Tactical Fighter Wing based at Stuttgart (Germany). She came to AMARC on May 06, 1975 and was sold off for scrap on November 23, 1994. File Description:
The Convair with cn 52-24, build as a Convair T-29D (240-52), entered the US Air Force in 1954. She later was converted to VT-29D standards and assigned to the Strategic Air Command where she got the typical blue band covered with white stars and SAC insignia on the rear fuselage. In January 1975 she was stored at Davis Monthan Air Force Base, Arizona. On November 23, 1977 the aircraft was bought by Allied Aircraft Sales and broken up. Lockheed T-33A. A repaint of the fine T-33A aircraft by Tim Conrad (t-33_ppp.zip). This aircraft represents a T-33A assigned to the Alaskan Air Command circa mid 1960's. The insignia orange painted areas was a standard practice for aircraft operating in Alaska and Iceland. Textures only!

These textures require the payware package by AlphaSim "F-4 Phantom II - Set 2" available at www.alphasim.co.uk. United States Air Force McDonnell Douglas F-4D Phantom II Serial No. 66-8775 of the 366th Tactical Fighter Wing, 480th Tactical Fighter Squadron, Da Nang AB, Vietnam. AKA "The Saint." "The Saint" was the aircraft for Brigadier General Paul C. Watson (then a Colonel) who was the commander of the 366th and was instrumental in mounting the external gun on the USAF Phantom. This effort lead to the naming of the 366th "The Gunfighters."
